Brilliant service and food well worth a visit.

We had no electricity due to work being carried out in area as we were isolating, we had a take out meal sent to us we had the steak pie with chips n veg and a curry n rice it was a lovely homemade dish very tasty and really enjoyed this. Thankyou to the Staff @ The Eagle.

Absolutely brilliant hotel staff fantastic and rooms immaculate meals are outstanding only thing that wasnt good was breakfast in a bag dont understand if they can serve meals during covid why breakfast in a bag we didnt eat it it was awful felt like it was microwaved other than that excellent loved our stay and would defo recommend.

The burgers are probably the best I've ever eaten the staff are really friendly all in all a lovely place.

Highly recommend the takeaway/delivery service now available. We had food delivered to the door tonight and it was fab. Made our isolation a bit easier. Thank you!

I always make a point of stopping off if I am anywhere near The Eagle, Eric and the team always make you feel very much at home, the food is always delicious, with a excellent selection of spirits and lovely real ale, it’s well worth a visit.

Great place to hang out and chill with friendly staff and great live music. Great Pub Grub and a good selection of local beers, gins whiskies and many more, cheers for the great experience. Hugh.

A great place to visit, hotel is perfect for a relaxing stay, rooms are modern and have everything you need very clean. Comfortable bed great bathroom.

Had a lovely lunch here. Although dogs aren’t allowed inside, they are made very welcome in the beer garden. Great place highly recommend.

Only stopped here for food but was very impressed. Bar us kind of cosy but they seating area for food us larger. Staff were very friendly and took our order and had the food out quickly. Staff were also happy to tell us about places round about to go see etc. Food was great and well priced. Bonus points to the staff for letting us charge our fones too. Life saver!

Fantastic place. Bar staff always super friendly and helpful and serve some of the best pints and drinks you'll find in the highlands. Food from the kitchen is always great also.

We went up to Dornoch to attend the Sutherland Show at the weekend & stayed a night at the Eagle Hotel, Dornoch. The room was lovely — spacious, clean & tidy. We ate in the bar at night & had a fantastic meal — the fish & chips were the best we’ve ever tasted! The full cooked breakfast was lovely with plenty to eat to set us up for the day! Highly recommend The Eagle Hotel for anyone looking for accommodation or to eat in Dornoch.

Bn before and food always good but not all great tonight. Only got a four as steak wasn’t great as a bit thin and husbands steak pie was small for the price and don’t think either was value for money. Kids both had spaghetti bols and cleared there plates but would suggest for kids spag bols should be served in a bowl and make it easier for them to eat. Not going to put us off coming bk but next time we won’t order steak!

Very nice place with good pub food and very friendly staff. We spent the evening in the bar which was nice as well. The only drawback was that the smell of the kitchen ended up in the hallway of the hotel and thus a bit in our room.

Truly awful. Clean and nice room but kept awake until 1am by pun clientele downstairs. Wasn't expecting that for >£100. To add insult to injury, some genius set off the fire alarm at 2am for 5 mins. Worst "sleep" I've ever paid for.

Comfortable, pub meals, couple of real ales on. Went there as part of a group of seven for lunch. Good time.

Brilliant fresh food at reasonable price. Served quickly with friendly service. Seems the place where the locals go. Buzzy, informal atmosphere. Just right. Esp after trying the Castle Arms Hotel with its £25 shots of Whisky, bar meals that stopped at 5pm & over-priced restaurant)

Popped in for food and a drink or two. Steak pie superb, great guest ale, Shipyard. Friendly staff and great service. Good selection of whiskies and gins. Highly recommended.

Nice local pub. Had the pleasure of staying there for a couple of nights. The reception girl was very helpful when I requested a iron and a ironing board. It made my job interview a success.

Friendly staff, great food, old fashioned bar, very casual. Myself and my mum both had the fish and chips and it was really tasty, with a large and well cooked fish.

We arrived on a busy Saturday evening while traveling down from Orkney — we didn't expect to get a table. We were delighted to find efficient staff who seated us quickly and we were served in no time. A tasty meal later we are back on the road. Cannot fault the staff, service or food. Thank you Eagle Hotel.

A comfortable hotel with good food. However, the showers are awful, either freezing or scalding, and the rooms are overpriced.

Recently had dinner here and was very disappointed. Decor nice enough for a pub but had to wait ages for food which was definitely not worth waiting for. I had steak pie which was dry meat floating in water not gravy and the double dipped chips were hard and dried out! My husband had fish and chips, again chips horrible and fish had soggy, chewy batter, it was also lukewarm, over all just poor, won't return.

Nice place, newly refurbished however service staff need to get together and decide how they are going to work and someone needs to take charge. We went in as a party of 5 adults had to wait ages for order to be taken (after we had asked them) they seem to have enough staff just no one in charge. Even when we asked for salt and pepper we had to ask again 5 mins later. Food when served was good and reasonably priced. We asked for desert menu waited another 5 mins and was given the bill! I am sure that this place will be fine in a few weeks.
