Had the high tea and … wow. Best ever. Food excellent. Fancy pieces to die for. Had to get a doggy bag home.

Had a takeaway this weekend and it was delicious. The portions were huge and the food still piping hot when dishing up at home. Would definitely recommend.

Once again Findlay’s delivers. A request was messaged at 6.40pm, “were we too late for a take away” The reply was of course not. Our order was placed and the delicious, piping hot food was ready for picking up 15 minutes later. Battered Haddock and chips and Malibu chicken, was absolutely amazing. We would love to recommend Findlay’s as the food is delicious, service is brilliant and good value for money. Thank you again Emma and staff.

Had a lovely birthday supper tonight. Food was delicious and loads of it. Didn’t have room for pudding so got to takeaway. Staff were really friendly and helpful.

Had a lovely meal served in an idylic ambience. Pleasant staff, with tasty food at reasonable prices. Well worth a visit, and the Irish Coffees to end the night with are just amazing.

Ordered our first takeaway tonight and was highly impressed. It was ready on time when we arrived and even after taking it back to Sandhaven it was piping hot. Both the Chicken Fantasia and the Thai Green curry were packed full of meat and were absolutely delicious!
We were looking forward to a treat and weren't disappointed. Will be ordering again!

Fantastic food great value held our staff xmas meal here on 11th dec and it was a treat from the great professional service to the beautifully laid out tables I would highly recommend paying Findlays a visit.

Had amazing birthday celebration on Saturday the 15 th of June at Findlay’s hotel. The service was amazing they was so friendly and very helpful with my food allergies and they was always happy to help with everything. The tables in private room was so pretty and nice and decorated to and it was nice of them to have music in room as well. Thank you so much for everything. The food was absolutely gorgeous to we really enjoy it all. We will definitely be coming back for meal again.

Excellent meal tonight in the charming conservatory, beautifully cooked and presented. Lovely friendly staff looked after us really well. Will definately go back again.

Fantastic food and nice friendly staff and a welcoming atmosphere.

Visited Findlay's for a bar lunch and found the premises most welcoming. 2 staff on duty were very pleasant and engaging. We had a lovely lunch and were pleased to see that our chihuahua was permitted with us in the bar while food was being served. A visit was long overdue but we will certainly return when next in the area.

Staff lovely, cleanliness very good. Main course of meal very good — portions a bit big — dessert disappointing as they were too small.

The beds were extremely uncomfortable, with the mattresses in particular feeling like they'd been fished out a tip. The restaurant stopped serving food before 8.30pm, which seems poor given the full name is Findlays Hotel and Restaurant. That said, given how mediocre the breakfast was, it may have been a blessing in disguise.

Just had supper off the Xmas menu and I've never seen portions like these, huge! Was excellent food and very tasty.

Just been for supper at findlays… first time ive been in there since Emma took over… I had the turkey dinner which was lovely, followed by the salted caramel roulade and it was delicious… the best sweet I have had from anywhere in a long time. I would highly recommend it. Staff friendly and dining room cosy. I had a plesant evening xx.

Lovely place to stay nice and warm as are the staff, and the food is good and plentiful.

Brilliant staff really cater for your needs… just feels like being back at home as you are surrounded by warmth and comforts.

The food was great highly recommended.

Me and my husband havent been for sometime due to previous owners letting the standard of food drop.
We decided to try again as had heard that since ownership had changed hands it was much improved.
The service received was excellent, the lady that attended to us was friendly and pleasant and the food delicious. My starter of mushroom en croute was lovely followed by haddock mornay also very good!.
My husband had a steak which he enjoyed and couldn't fault it at all.
No room for dessert as portions are huge!,
All in all a good experience and will go back.
