We tried this place for the first time tonight, takeaway service great and the food delicious. Some of the best chips we have had, so crunchy and fluffy in the middle. Burgers were super tasty too along with the most amazing garlic mayo! Only criticism we have, which is super small is we required salt for the chips as they had none on them but we will definitely return, well worth a visit folks. Thanks guys.

Just had the Sunday roast delivered to my parents. They said it was delicious. It was delivered right on time, and still warm. Thank you for making it so easy to send a great, affordable meal during these difficult times.

We got a fantastic afternoon tea from the sand delivered to our door. Quality filled sandwiches and delicious cakes! A lovely treat for anyone.

Just got a delivery of 2 steak burgers, which came with tasty chunky chips & delicious coleslaw! The burgers were amazing! Really thick, top quality & came on a brioche bun with cheese & bacon! So tasty! Jason also made me a Pina Colada which wasn’t on the menu! Yum! Was delivered in only 30 minutes! What a treat! Would highly recommend! ❤️ Xx.

Great steak deal and awesome pints in a carton. Definitely worth it.

Ordered afternoon tea for 3 during lockdown.
It came crammed into one container, which meant the cakes tasted of cucumber and onion. The macarons were soggy. The sandwich fillings left a lot to be desired, you were ok if you liked cucumber and cream cheese. One filling was salmon which just did not travel well.
On the upside the scones were very good.
I realise they are trying in a very difficult time but if this is their normal standard I won’t be visiting the hotel any time soon. For £24 it definitely wasn’t value for money.

Food is amazing. Staff friendly and helpful. Menu got a good selection to choose from.

I never usually have a bad word to say about this place but went for a meal last night and food service was shocking, nachos to share between 4 for a starter took over an hour, then an hour for mains, you could see the staff were all run off their feet, talking to other customers around us they had exactly same service and views, very disappointing, get more staff as your food is lovely and worth coming for!

Absolutely fantastic restaurant/bar. Fine selection of Ale, whisky and gin. Great variety of food for all including vegans (perfectly cooked vegan burger). Working all over the world I have been to many restaurants and bars but I have never encountered as much hospitality from Gerry, the man behind the bar! World class and it's on my door step, who would have thought! Thanks for everything Burntisland Sands!

I won the completion for a vegan meal for two, well, my husband and I along with our grandson Lewis went there tonight, and, from firstly being given a warm welcome by staff, and seated, we ordered our meal from a great selection, we all had tomato & pepper soup which was amazing followed by veg curry & trimmings Lewis had macaroni cheese with chips it was all excellent and made from fresh veg etc. You couldn’t fault any thing and just to be greedy we all had a ‘pudding’ so in all honestly it’s 10/10 for the sands the owners deserve our trade, so come on all you Burntisland folks, get yourself along to the Sands!

As a regular customer, I find the management and staff friendly and courteous. The food is very good and great value for money. I enjoy the draught beers, which are changed frequently. In addition to previously established functions, the new management have introduced a number of new initiatives, which seem to be going down very well. Well worth a visit for a drink, a meal or a function… you won't be disappointed.

Had dinner with my family to say it’s gone down hill is an understatement. Here is a tip if you are charging £11 for fish and chips why not make real fresh chips and not frozen ones oh and 7 chips is not really a portion, also maybe try and use thicker fish. Your chicken and black pudding dish for £13.50 needs to use tender chicken breast and try and not cook it till it’s dry lastly your portion of macaroni is not a patch on the last recipe you used. Overall been going here for years but wouldn’t recommend it now.

Went to Burns Night event on Friday and had a great night. Superb value for £22.50 — 3 course meal Plus dram (or wine or soft drink) included plus live entertainment by 2 musicians playing violin and guitar and also singing Scottish songs. Stayed overnight in lovely room, with comfortable bed, overlooking sea and didn't even have to get up for an early breakfast as they serve it until 12noon which is also when you have to vacate room — great able to have long lie after late night! Breakfast could be either small or large and so glad took small as it was loads (fruit juice, sausage, bacon, black pudding, haggis, tomato, beans, mushrooms, potato scone, toast and pot tea/coffee) — £5.50 superb value and taste. See there is another great menu for Valentine's Day so may be back again soon.
