Just left here after having a meal! For the price absolutely shocking! I had the haggis neeps and tatties! Which was quite clearly just out the microwave the “whiskey” sauce was like water! My partner had the beef which they gave her a butter knife to cut with it was clearly a saw she needed! And the staff well what can I say nothing but rude. We were never asked once how our meal was or if they could get us anything else! Even when leaving they never said thank you. Just stared at us as we left! To be honest I think the sheer lack of customer service is down to the fact that a 10% tip is included in your bill. Clearly the staff don’t feel the need to be helpful. If I would have the choice there would have been no tip left! I will definitely not be back here!

Lovely day to sit outside in the sun for a drink. We had booked a table for dinner later on.
Food was way overpriced and I’m sorry to say the service was total rubbish. There was plenty staff but still very slow.

Been to the Loch Lomond Arms Hotel a few times food was great staff friendly unfortunately found out tonight how dishonest they are being noticed the GRATUITY at the bottom of our bill 10% of the bill every time we have been we always leave a tip didn't realise they had already taken a tip DISHONESTY at the highest level.

Automatic gratuity taken from bill. You shouldn’t assume you deserve the tip. Great way of making money by automatically taking it without permission. Especially in a busy tourist area where not everyone would be able to ask for it back. And how crap would you look in front of the bar asking for you’re tip back? Disgusting and sneaky behaviour. As a party of ten everyone’s meals came out at different times, one person was finished before the others even came to the table. I’m talking about 15-20 minutes wait. Only when leaving the hotel we noticed there was a wedding being held there also, obviously all other paying customers come last in this case. Every customer counts. Shame as food was pretty decent too.

First class service. Was very friendly and attentive. Food was a little boutique but still delicious.

Had a lovely lunch with my son. Food was once again excellent and staff and service were too. I had first visited the Hotel in April with my husband and had an excellent experience then also. Will definitely visit again when in Loch Lomond.

Enjoyed a drink in the lovely beer garden. Lots of parking.

Beautifully decorated. Staff really well trained, polite and friendly. Rooms are nicely decorated. Check-in was quick and friendly.

The food was good. We told them we were in a hurry and the waitress didn't let us get an appetizer and a main course. She told us the food was gonna be there in 25 mongers minutes but it took almost 40 minutes. The table next to us ordered the same dishes we did but a few minutes after we had ordered but they got their food almost 10 minutes before we got ours.

Excellent venue for a wedding. Played a ceilidh and DJ set there with my band The Jiggers, and it was ideal. Good parking, lovely surroundings, staff were really nice and friendly too. Big room for hosting guests, can be split into two rooms, so the guests can be having the meal and speeches while the band sets up, so it's a smooth turnaround. Plus Luss is a beautiful wee village for photos.

Beautiful location with amazing backdrop opportunity. Food was well presented and generous portions. Close parking facilities. However staff could have been more polite.

Just received one of the worst service and food experience’s. Arrived at 5:30 tonight and told there was a wedding and the kitchen was blocked off until 5:45, we were fine with this. At 6pm we asked if we could place our order to be told the waitress would send the order to the kitchen but she was unsure on how long the food would take … I queried that she had in fact said 5:45 and not 6:45 for the kitchen opening — to which she agreed 5:45. At 6:30 I asked a waiter if he could check where our food was as our 5 and 3 year old were now restless and hungry — as were we. Around 10 minutes later the waiter arrived with our food which appeared to have been under the hot hold for sometime. My husbands chips were freezing so he asked for new, which were sent very quickly and fresh. I then ordered boiled potatoes as my fish cakes came with a garnish of salad and slice of lemon only. When I received the potatoes they were warm on the outside and freezing in the middle (clearly they hadn’t been microwaved for long enough! ). In between ordering the potatoes and trying my fish cakes I realised that potatoes were in fact the wrong side as the fish cakes were just mashed potatoes and dill with a hint of fish. At this point I was done and requested the bill.

An amazing weekend for my beautiful Nieces' Wedding. We stayed in one of the cottages and it was so comfortable and had everything you need for your stay. Staff all over the Hotel and during the Wedding were so well organised, so lovely and amazing to everyone. Food was tremendous Would recommend to anyone who was going to stay at Loch Lomond. Thank you all at the Loch Lomond Arms Hotel x.

Not impressed. Drinks were pricey and it did not have the ambience I thought it would. Quickly moved on.

We loved our dinner here. Haggis and Bangor and Mash with friendly staff and extra clean loos.

Top class accommodation done to a very high standard.

We went to hotel for some lunch after having a lovely walk around Luss. I was slightly disappointed that we were only allowed to order from the "sandwich and soup" menu as there were people ordering from the normal menu. Then to fine that the ham and cheese sandwiches we ordered cost £7 each. With drinks the total bill came to over £20. The staff were rude and our being there was clearly an inconvenience. We have always been a fan of Luss but with a number of other hotels and eateries I don't think we will be going back to this particular hotel again. A very disappointed fan.

After very expensive coffee in the village ofuss came here prepared to back out if too pricey… but no. This was reasonable, service was friendly and efficient. Beer was great and sandwich was lovely. Ambience inside is just right and they are dog friendly. Waitress brought a bowl of water for our dog… made us plan to return here again this holiday.

The food was incredible. I had mussels for starters and venison pie special for mains and both were some of the best I've ever eaten. It helps that the ingredients are either local or from Scotland. Waiter lacked a bit of personality but that's as far as my critism can go.

Great menu and lovely time spent in beer garden. Found that alot of things on the area were not open in early evening and seemed to be missing out on alot of business on a sunny day. Otherwise lovely place and the hotel was great. Staff were lovely.

The food is good. Great atmosphere. Had lunch here, so good came back several days later.

Modern Farrow and Ball style interior, which I am not a particular fan of, especially in this s sort of setting. Went for lunch and fires weren’t lit which was a shame. Mussels were delicious, but terrible service. No bowl brought for shells and wine added to bill but not brought to table. No one checked all ok. Massive attitude from waitress (short fat one with long dark hair and massive attitude). Bar staff very helpful and friendly.

Stopped in for a quick bite on the way to Portree. Delicious sandwiches and soup. Very friendly staff. Would like to go back and try their full dinner menu.

Even though the main restaurant was being re done when we went, they still managed to make a lovley atmosphere. The food and service were second to non would 100% go back.

1 hour and a half wait for our meal. No one should ever have to wait that long. And instead of serving everyone at the same time, half got theirs first and then another 2 tables got their food before the rest got theirs. Food was going cold waiting for others to get delivered. It’s a shame really because the food was good and the atmosphere is lovely. If they get their staffing numbers sorted this could be avoided.

Maybe it's the beautiful Christmas decorations putting me in a festive mood, but this pub looks gorgeous. Fortunately the festive menu looked just as good, and the food, once served, was equally delicious (although tasty, the pumpkin soup was a little too rustic, and should have been strained to remove the 'bits'). A kids menu is available, along with some pencils, helping keep the kids a little occupied while you sip a warm mulled wine. And to top it all off, be sure to say hello to the friendly highland cows in the adjacent paddock.

The immediate thing you notice about this place is how beautiful it is. It's incredibly well decorated, and you can tell time and effort has been put into it. Popped in on a very cold night and had an incredible dinner — very prompt and polite service and the food was A-MAZ-ING. Make sure you try the mac and cheese. Well worth a visit if you're in the area.

Exceptionally high standards with meticulous attention to detail in the rooms considering the price. Lovely food (best oysters I've ever had) and a great selection of whiskies. Also very friendly and efficient service so I highly recommend staying here. Exceeded our expectations.

Recent stay here was excellent. Very popular. Room was extremely comfortable and fitted out to an upmarket standard. The staff are extremely friendly and nothing was too much effort for them. The food was devine and the breakfast both big and superb quality. The sweet cured streaky bacon was the best I have ever experienced. Some great local ales served at the bar. So in conclusion a superb stay at a supreme hotel in an idillic location. The village of Luss is very quaint.

I married my wife here on Friday 4th of august and the management staff and all the food, preparations etc were perfect! Cannot fault any aspect of them or our day and stay. Beautiful rooms!

We sat in Terrace. Not bad, but food order needs placing at the bar. Fine as long as… they take orders from all people at the one table. 1person ordered gluten free menu but got a soup & desert nongluten free. 2other people could not order anymore as kitchen closed. I would welcome if they warned us all before ordering…

I took my daughter here on Sunday 8th July '17 to celebrate after her graduation and as it was a lovely day we decided to sit outside in the courtyard. Unfortunately I t took an hour between courses and after being prompted by my husband they eventually brought out the main dishes but they hadn't yet removed our starter plates. The food was expensive for what it was and it lacked presentation and garnish. The plate of Mac'n'Cheese (£11) was so cold and had no garlic bread nor chips, the batter of the fish'n'chips was very greasy (£13.50) and the burger'n'chips (£13.50) was very dry.
The waitress was lovely and very hospitable and the furnishings were impressive, its just a shame about the quality of food.

My wife and I have been coming to The Loch Lomond Arms for the last five years to mark the anniversary of our first date in Luss. When it came to choosing a venue for our wedding last year, there was no other choice for us. The hotel manager Ian was supportive and welcoming right from the start, and our Wedding Co-ordinator Valerie was an absolute godsend, from helping us organise everything from the smallest details to keeping us calm on the day. All the staff are warm, friendly, and welcoming, and bent over backwards to make our big day one we would never forget. We recently celebrated our first wedding anniversary there and they not only welcomed us back, but made us feel like family. The atmosphere of the hotel is of a cosy, romantic haven, a perfect escape from bustling city life. You could be fooled into believing you've just walked in out the cold into a different century, to a timeless country inn for weary travellers, complete with roaring fire and mounted stag's heads on the walls. The view we wake up to every morning is the beautiful village of Luss, against the backdrop of Ben Lomond leading down to the Loch, and the first sounds of the day are that of new-born lambs calling out from the neighbouring field. The menu offers hearty, high quality traditional food made from all locally sourced produce. The rooms range from the romantic to the luxurious, especially the Lomond suite, where we spent our first night as a married couple.

Stayed here last Sept. This visit I stayed in the riverside? cottage. Lovely, suite with sitting room downstairs with log fire and flat screen TV. Upstairs had another wall mounted TV with large bed with quality sheets, duvet pillows etc Bathroom had a large shower cubicle + bath. Everything clean and new looking. Niggles were 1) no bath robes which I had on the last visit. 2) downstairs heating is underfloor and you have no control over it. You can only make the room feel warm when the log fire is on. That's not so good when checking in or in the morning + the wood smoke smell also tends to travel up to the bedroom. 3) One of the electric blinds was broken. 4) Bathroom door didn't shut properly. The biggest disappointment was the breakfast and to a lesser extent the evening meal. I'm not saying it was terrible just not to the same standard as my previous visit. Looked very much like someone has implemented cost cutting activities by applying rigid portion control and removing the little touches that made me rate the previous visit a 5.

Attended my friends wedding here. The layout was fantastic, the scenery is amazing such a lovely spread. I would definitely recommend this venue. The only downfall was that it cost 25 quid a round and there were only 5 of us, and 2 of us were drinking just coke. But none the less, amazing place. Highly recommended.

Stopped in for lunch after cycling from Balloch. The staff were lovely — I'd just like to let them know we made it back to balloch safely — must have been the sugar rush from the delicious dessert sharing platter for two!

Beautiful hotel with great service and great staff. We stayed in the River Cottage; a beautiful little house down by the river that was very comfortable with everything we needed. Felt like a resident of the beautiful Luss. The hotel’s restaurant had great food in a lovely Scottish setting. The restaurant was wonderful with attentive and friendly staff who couldn’t do enough for you. We highly recommend the haggis and Eilidh’s great service!

I stayed 3 days in this lovely establishment. It has been recently renovated and the Scottish atmosphere is spot on. The Loch Lomond Arms offers accommodation, a pub and restaurant as well as spaces for meetings and events. Location The hotel is located on the main street of Luss. It is very easy to find the place and there is a large car park on both sides of the building. The centre of Luss is literally seconds away and if you feel that you need a walk, there are plenty of trails all around the village. Interior As said earlier, the interior feels comfy and very homy. I particularly loved the pub with the fireplace. It's a place you want to come every winter night to enjoy a beer or a whisky next to the fire. The rooms are very nice. They are decorated with plenty of nice vase and paintings. The bathroom we had was gigantic with a bath and shower. My only reservation would be the dead animals you can find in the corridors. I have never been a huge fan of taxidermy. If you wish to stay at the hotel make sure to ask the rooms on the top floor to avoid the noise coming from the room above and the pub downstairs. Services We have tried different menus from the restaurant and we were very impressed by the food and the wine choice. The style of the food is pub like but the presentation is nice and all the ingredients are local. There is a seasonal menu as well as a great daily selection. Thumbs up to the chef and his team.
