Lovely pub, friendly & worth a visit in beautiful surroundings x.

Not a boutique hotel but utterly peaceful and tranquil in stunningly beautiful surroundings. All topped off with excellent full Scottish breakfast and a friendly host.

What a beautiful place! food first class, landload a star, room clean and well equipped, I would return tomorrow if I could.

A unique bed and breakfast, bar and restaurant. It was a home from home in these testing times. We were made really welcome with all covid rules adhered to. A very interesting place. The food was brilliant and very reasonable and the company great.

Friendly service felt very safe dog friendly wonderful large very clean room great food.

Friendly staff the food was lovely great for dogs large rooms.

We stayed here for 2 nights with a Groupon deal, meal was included on the first night and continental breakfast in the morning… Must say it was a lovely wee place to stay. Owner is very friendly and the place is spotless. Food was amazing and drink is cheap. An all round good place to stay. Would highly recommend. We will definitely be back for another stay soon.

We had an amazing meal here while on holiday. The portions were huge and very nice. I would highly recommend this place to anyone.

Family run traditional pub, delicious pub food and reasonable prices. Made to feel really welcome, family and dog friendly.

Great small pub tucked away, nice seats outside and delicious food. Only comment would be there are only a few vegetarian / vegan choices.

Stayed for a little birthday treat for 2 nights, couldn't fault it, friendly welcome, great atmosphere, room had everything you needed, amazing food and cute pooch Tina to play with. Will definitely be back! Thanks for a Lovely stay guys x.

Was passing through and my wife, me and kids decided to stop for a dinner. First impressions is the pub from outside is really nice looking and noticed theres a sign up saying DOG FRIENDLY as having a dog with us is always an extra tick to any place. The pub itself wasn't that buisy but have been here before and there was alot more people in it then. In side theres loads of room for party events or big family gathering's. First impressions of the menu was it was a bit basic with about 10 dishes to choose from for a main meal but never stopped me from eventually choosing the Battered Haddock with chips, peas and tartar sauce. I have to say that it didnt disappoint, portion size was massive and the batter on the fish was amazing. I ate this same dish at another place a few days back and the Cross Keys wins hands down for flavour and portion size. The tartar sauce must be some of the best I've ever tasted. Kids got the half portion Chicken curry with rice and spaghetti Bolognese they ate the lot and again half portion still was big. Thought the staff were really friendly but a wee bit slow as never offered us a drink when we sat down but not a problem. Over all I have to say because its DOG FRIENDLY and the friendly staff and serves good portion sized food its well worth visiting here for a nice quiet dinner. Will definitely be back.

The food, when it eventually came was really nice. We attended in a group of about 15 to 20and it was clear they aren't used to such big groups. As a result, the service was slow and we all ate at different times but the food was nice and service friendly.

A comfortable pub with spacious accommodation. Meals hearty. Had the curry. Hot. Hot. Hot.

Very cosy and welcoming atmosphere gr8 for dogs would definitely recommend it for anyone wanting to have a break away with their dog, locals very friendly too.

What can I say? A lovely warm and welcoming pub / restaurant with a second to none atmosphere! If you happen to be a vegan in the Scottish Borders and you have not eaten here then you are missing out on the best vegan food about!

Fantastic meal. The staff were friendly and welcoming. This is a cozy and welcoming little pub. The serves are enormous and delicious. A good variety on the menu for a reasonable price. Would go back again and again.

Absolutely amazing they have a range of different meals for different people (vegan, vegetarian) and the meals are very large and tasty and also cheap.

I had a lovely visit to this small quaint pub whilst visiting the area. Considering the pub has just started under new management, the selection they had on offer was still delightful. I think the pub should go from strength to strength whilst being developed by the new team. Keep it up guys and I can't wait to see how you are getting on when I'm next in the area! Must try here!

Lovely place to stay. Situated in a small village a few miles from Selkirk. Beautiful setting, great food and accommodation. Good selection of beers and a very agreeable host. Hard to beat anywhere!

A nice little pub in Ettrickbridge with reasonable food. Very quiet as is everything in the area. There's nothing wrong with the pub, the food or the service but equally nothing that makes it stand out from any other pub that serves food from the bar.

Food is from the gods. Lovely landlady. Really nice and cosy pub.

Fantastic! Such a warm and friendly greeting. Gorgeous real fire. The food was perfect. An absolute hidden gem of a pub. I can't recommend it enough. Thank you for giving us such a lovely anniversary meal. We'll be back.

A warm, friendly welcome, well cooked food and a great atmosphere.

6 friends in their early 20s, we were glamping at the Yurts 6 miles up the road, we stopped in for a lovey lunch on the Friday afternoon and decided to walk down on the saturday for a few gins and a game of pool. Margaret is lovely and a great laugh and the food and drink is great just what we neededh after walking 6 miles — infact we had to hitch a lift home from some caring locals who saved the day! We will definitely be booking a wee weekend at the Cross Keys sometime soon!
