Friendly staff great food good value for money.

We sadly lossed our dad just before Christmas and went back to the swan after dad's funeral they took care of everything for us put on a great spread home made soup and a buffet they did us proud so thank you very much Robin and staff you all did an amazing job and would not hesitate in recommending you to anyone else.

Best steak pie in the borders.

Had a lovely meal in the Restraunt room 8 of us (4 kids) from two households. Food was amazing, plenty of space and the staff were friendly and helpful.

First visit had food and drink, excellent would go back.

Room was adequate could do with some TLC but had a very comfortable couple of nights. Food was fantastic the fish n chips was the best I’ve had in a long time. Staff very friendly and helpful always going the extra mile. Will definitely be back.

Helpful and friendly staff although the rooms and overall decor is dated, rooms were tidy enough fine for a night, and hotel situated in the centre off town always a bonus.

We go there for Our OAP lunch on Thursday's and at other times, and it's always been good food.

Like so many pubs nowadays, apart from those in city centres, it wasn't very busy. The lady behind the bar was very friendly and cheerful and the Belhaven Best Bitter was nice. It's such a shame that pubs like this aren't better supported before we lose them. It needs a bit of money splashing on to it in places, but to achieve this it needs more customers. The drink drive laws, though totally necessary and sensible have certainly played their part in the downward popularity of places like this. So come on folks, car share or walk, but support The White Swan and places like it before it is too late.

Wouldn't take my family there. Poor decor throughout rooms. Breakfast was ok and bar area and breakfast area cLean and tidy.

Brilliant staff and great food at reasonable prices.

Needs a bit of maintenance — reminds me of hotels in the 1970's — Staff are great and the breakfast was very good.

Has got alot better lately hope they can keep the standard.

Stopped by for coffee and bacon rolls whilst waiting for my car in nearby garage. Food was excellent as was the coffee, staff very pleasant and helpful.

It's an OK place to stay, it's clean, functional. My room had en-suite be careful as some don't. Staff are very friendly & helpful.

Lovely hotel. Food was delicious. Called in 3 times this week for an evening meal. We got there at 6pm as usual yesterday, but they said they weren't starting cooking till 6.45pm because the Rotary Club were coming then. Then they came to the table and asked us what we would like to eat and they would start cooking earlier. Lovely friendly staff and would recommend it to anyone. Reasonable prices to. What more can I say! We live in Cleethorpes, but if we lived nearer it would be our local!

Not a great pub (in my direct experience. ) Worse hotel (I've been told by friends. ) Oddly enough — very good restaurant (again in my direct experience. )

A very tired and shabby hotel. Room was clean enough but trailing wires across the floor, a leaking sink and mouldy tiles isn't what a guest wants to see (not to mention them being a hazard). The daytime staff were friendly and welcoming but the evening crew need a few lessons in customer service.

It was cheep and naff the whole place especially the room was tatty and cold the food was chewy and out of the 1970's, the staff where nice.

A group of 14 came to the White Swan as part of a wedding group at a nearby venue. The white swan put us in a room to the back of the venue which has plenty of room and was out the way of other customers. We frequently had staff coming in asking for drinks orders and we're well looked after. The food came up hot and good portion sizes. All in all, was pleased with the visit.

Was in for pints after playing football on saturday. Was a good night from what I remember.
