Stayed for 2 nights on a deal for £109 great value for money. Rooms are lovely and the food in the bar was great as always. We always stop in when we visit Ballintoy and hope too stay again. Thank you.

Had a great couple of days with good friends and the dogs 🐕. This was topped off by great food and top staff. The craic was mighty 😂

Just back from a fantastic stay at the Fullerton Arms with our daughter and dog. The staff and atmosphere were fantastic and the place was so dog friendly. The room we stayed in was cosy, clean and practical. My only recommendation would be more than 1 veggie option on the menu but we can definitely say we had the warmest of welcomes and a wonderful time.

Absolutely love this venue, food is always consistently fantastic and the staff are always polite, friendly and professional. Have recommended the Fullerton Arms to all my friends. I especially love the salmon dish (see photo ❤️❤️) but everything is delicious. Love the rustic atmosphere especially when there’s a big fire lit. If you love gin and mussels this is the best place to get them.
Best of all it’s just round the corner from where we live.

Staff were very accomodating when I made a mistake with the booking & they rectified it with no fuss. We had a lovely stay with fab food and cocktails. Our wee dog had a ball too 🐶 Highly recommend!

My mother booked 4 different dates for this year for different couples and now we are being told we cant get a refund because the hotel has not been open but we can use the vouchers for October time but not for summer months happy enough to take her money but we cant go may June July August sep wont be staying here full top and I will be taking this further.

John I and Diesel had a fantastic 3 nights stay in one of the fab doggie rooms. Staff were great and really went out of their way to make sure we had a brilliant time. Breakfast was outstanding. The fry ups set us up for the day and then dinner and our tastebuds tingled with the moules mariniere… (highly recommended). Will definitely be back for a few nights.

Spent our anniversary here this weekend was absolutely fantastic great food, our room was lovely, great value for money, the staff were such a delight made us feel so welcome we will be back ❤️

Used to go here all the time. Was here last saturday hoping for the same standards. Asked for a medium rare steak and they cooked it medium to well. Wife asked for medium to well and it came out as incinerated. Very poor food inclusing my salad with soggy veg that had been sitting a few days. Very sad.

My hubby and I and our wee dog always call in to the Fullerton Arms for a lovely meal every time we are up round the north coast. We wouldn’t go past this place as the food and welcoming staff are wonderful and of course it’s a truly dog friendly establishment. Can’t wait to go back again.

We have just returned from two nights trip with friends in the fabulous new dog friendly rooms in the Fullerton Arms, the new rooms are really lovely! We had a great time, all the staff working there were really friendly the breakfasts were fab and we had a great tea in the bar both nights and our two cockapoos were made most welcome, highly recommend here if you want a few days away with your dog. We used it as our base and travelled to Bushmills for golf, Portrush for beach walks and lunch and Ballycastle!

Visited this evening for a family meal. There was 14 of us. Genuinely it was the most painful experience I’ve ever had whilst dining out.
The food wasn’t the greatest. We had the pate starter. It was really bland, and didn’t come with the sauce. It needed a chutney or marmalade as it was kinda dry.
My husband had a beef, it was a huge thick piece but only one slice & very dry. The roast potatoes on most of our roasts were hard, the veg was hard and mash pretty tasteless.
…The dessert took absolutely ages to arrive. The Eton mess was just rocks of merengue that was completely solid, one of them arrived with a huge hair hanging out the side.
Also £2.20 for a orange squash is pretty excessive.
Then when paying we’d been charged completely wrong. We’d varied between 2&3 course Sunday menu, but the desserts had been charged at 2 for £8 as opposed to the additional £2 on the 3 course menu.
It was resolved partly, but when paying at the bar, the 3 courses was being charged £18.95 instead of £17.95 pp, but how it was charged on the bill, split prices for each course, it wasn’t clear straight away. Overall we was there from 3pm and left at 6.30pm. Given on arrival some was late because of traffic, but if you take 30 mins for that, it took 3 hours to serve a 3 course meal & not everyone had 3 courses.

We have just had a lovely meal in The Fullerton Arms. The food was amazing and the welcome and service from the staff was fantastic! Brody our cockapoo loved it too and they were very welcoming towards him. We also met a lovely couple from Cookstown and had great craic.

We had the Steak and Guinness pie which was fantastic. The pub was clean staff were friendly. Prices were reasonable with decent portions. Build up an appetite after the rope bridge and head over here for food.

Best steamed mussels ever! All of the food was amazing and our room had the most comfortable beds! Game of Thrones filming location near by.

Such a friendly welcoming spot. Unfortunately there was no accomodatioN available so we had a beautiful dinner. It was extremely busy but the hostess fitted my husband, our dog and I in. It's completely dog friendly. If this place was closer to where we live it would be our weekly treat. Also for Game of Throne fans they have an mini exhibition.

Loved this place! The guest rooms had been recently remodeled and were very nice and roomy. The bathroom was nice and clean. The pub was terrific! We ate 4 out of 5 meals there because it was not only delicious, but a fun atmosphere! The wait staff was lovely! We enjoyed the whole experience. Plus, the bus stop is right across the street! If we visit Ireland again, we will do our best to stay here. Yes, they have the beautifully carved door 6 from Game of Thrones.

My family and I went for some pints and food last night, and had a fantastic time. Not only was the food super yummy and service very fast, the staff were so lovely! Everyone was very attentive to our dog’s needs (supplying loads of dog treats and water), and really personable.
The staff went above and beyond when they contacted me personally about finding my purse (after I left it behind and hadn’t even realised! ). My belongings were kept safe and sound, and handed back with a smile.

Very good restaurant and very friendly bar.
As for the room, it's not worthy of a hotel. Very hot, right next to the ventilation so a terrible noise. Breakfast is almost non-existent apart from on-demand dishes.
It feels like the hotel is just an extra cash gain but no one really manages it.
In short for the price is a not recommended. You pay for the location and lack of competition.

Everything is quaint and clean. Food was good and the drinks better. Service at the bar could have been a bit better and you can hear the bar area from your room upstairs but it’s faint. I highly recommend.

I’ve stayed here on three different occasions in the last eighteen months and never been disappointed. Rooms are nice (haven’t been in refurbished one yet), food is great (fabulous breakfast last Monday) and the staff are wonderful. So friendly and helpful. Was buzzing last Sunday night and some good music in the bar. Really really recommend it.

Excellent food and service at a lovely dog friendly pub restaurant. It does get very busy at peak periods due to its location between the Carrick a Rede and Giant's Causeway landmarks. Booking would be recommended to ensure that you are not disappointed. That said, the staff are friendly and accommodating and if they can fit you in without a delay they will. The food is of the highest quality and reasonably priced. A visit is highly recommended.

Ate dinner here while staying at a local B&B on the recommendation from the host. Great food, friendly staff, and nice atmosphere. Recommend.

Excellent pie and fish'n'chips; service was bit slow because of busload of tourists in the back room. Nevertheless very friendly staff and nice place. Their door is part of the "Game of Thrones" collection, and if you like the series, don't miss the imposing throne in the side room!

Beautiful hotel, excellent location, and wonderful restaurant. Stayed only one night, but wished we had planned more time on the coast so we could stay longer. Highly recommend to anyone staying in the area. The rooms had been recently renovated and the staff were all lovely. Had the best meals in the hotel restaurant. Looking forward to returning!

What a treat after a day of hiking! We were recommended Fullerton Arms to eat out by our host and we were not disappointed! Food is arranged nicely, of great quality and comes in big portions! Make sure not to order too much! We very much enjoyed our meal in the Game of Throne’s Room and had a lovely evening with friends.

Exquisite food at an unsurpassable price, and a perfect setting to make a stop on the way on the game Path of Thrones. It also has one of the emblematic doors inspired in the series, built with the beeches of the Dark hedges.

Good service they serve you fast and the food is not bad.

This is a little cozy place in on the isolated coast of Northern Ireland with good food and nice rooms — it's in Games of Thrones on-location territory.

Having ate here a few times for lunch when we would have been up the coast, we stayed 9-11 February for 2 nights with our 9 month old pup, Lexi.
The accommodation was excellent, in the annexe building behind the main building, ground floor — the room was spotlessly clean, a really good size with a double and single bed, tea/coffee facilities, TV and a good size shower and bathroom facilities and nice and warm. Being on the ground floor was brilliant to let the dog in and out as well. There was a hallway from outside which meant that our wet, mucky/sandy boots could be left there and not mess up the room. The staff were absolutely lovely, every single one of them. Excellent service and just so friendly, especially to our dog — it was a delight to be there. And I haven't even touched on the food yet… well, what can I say but fabulous. We ate in the restaurant both nights, having had long days out walking, and were spoiled for choice. Live music on in the bar on the Saturday night which was nice.
Would definitely recommend it for a night or two up the coast if you like walking / sightseeing & great to be able to bring the dog. Thanks very much guys — we'll be back.

Very nice place to stop while in ballintoy. Great seafood but can be a bit busy with the tour buses coming through.

Good food and service! Whilst there check out the "Game of Thrones" function room. The "Iron Throne" replica wasn't there this time but we were assured a better one will replace it. Also one of the "Dark Hedges Doors" adorns the public entrance to the bar.

Service was amazing. I was so happy with the experience here. The food was alright, but I was mostly impressed with the hard working and friendly waitstaff. Also, clean bathrooms are always a plus! Thank you.

Stopped here for a bite during our tour of Game of Thrones filming locations. Nice little spot, food was served fast and hot, considering there was quite a few of us. Spot had some locals and some crew from GoT in it at the same time. Has one of the 10 Game of Thrones doors that are throughout Northern Ireland.

I was there for lunch, arranged by the giant's Causeway tour. Had the pie, wasn't good, it had too little meat. The pub looked quite decent to have a drink, toilet was decent as well. Never been the the rooms, the staff were reasonably friendly, for the number of crowd that they were tending to.

Really comfortable restaurant on our tour bus stop. The beef pie was great and I enjoyed a nice pint of Guiness. They also have game of thrones memorabilia because the cast and crew eat here as well.

We went through this restaurant recommended by TripAdvisor, in addition to its setting of Game of Thrones. We went after visiting the causeway of the Giants as it is only 10 minutes from the area. The truth is that we were pleasantly surprised and not only for the price and the treatment of the staff that was excellent but for the quality of their food. Traditional Irish flavor 100%, we ordered the mussels (mussels) stewed meatloaf and the big burger. Everything was expectacular and we accompanied it with artisan beer of the area, very successful. If you are in the area do not hesitate to make a stop here, you will be surprised. Recommended 100%

Delicious food, great service.

We stayed three nights for the brilliant location to base our walking, and were delighted to find that the food was exquisite! My partner had the steak and Guinness pie which was flavoursome and delicious, and I ate mussels for three nights in a row and regret nothing. The moules marinieres are particularly beautiful, and many thanks to the staff for making our stay a delight.

Room Review. I can't imagine that the high star rating is from the rooms, rather the restaurant for GoT fans. Room was drab and in need of updating and repairs. Bathroom floor was peeling. The bed was tiny-felt smaller than a double — guess one of us could have slept in the twin bed but then we would have had no place for our luggage. Not to mention the head of the bed was to the hallway wall… doors slam, people are loud. The town is small and sleepy and though close all the attractions in the North, there is nothing to do there. Would not stay here. But it was cheap… you get what you pay for.

Stopped off to see one of the Game of Thrones doors and decided to stay for food. The atmosphere was just so relaxed and friendly that my wife and I decided to stay for something to eat and we are so glad we did. With both of us being big seafood lovers we both had mussels but with different sauces and both dishes were amazing. The staff are so friendly and attentive to every guest. We were so impressed we have decided to return for a short break with our kids.

Ballintoy is just a small place. The mix of bar and restaurant has been well managed. The dishes are good and the staff is very nice.

The venue Nice pub decent decor quite nice to have a few game of thrones decorative pieces to give you a little entertainment. The food We had the mussels 1896 for starter and We had the roast pork loin And Guinness pie for mains. The mussells was incredible if I was to recommend anything here this would be it. Mussels don't get quite as good as that. The pork loin was ok the skin was wet and fatty, it would have been nice if it was crispy. The Guinness pie was the go to dish after reading reviews. It was fairly nice wouldn't say it was an award winner but was good. Reasonable price wise happy with that. Overall A good experience happy with it would go again if going by for a casual meal but I would certainly go back for mussels.

I went there as a lunch stop for the Giant's Causeway day tour, and ordered a Guinness beef stew pie with fries. The puff pastry was crispy perfection, and the stew was very hearty. Fries were great (could use a bit of salt), wait staff was friendly. I have no complaints. Their main attractions, the 6th Game of Thrones door and the Iron throne replica, was great to take pictures with. I thoroughly enjoyed my experience at The Fullerton Arms.

This was a typical Irish pub with great service and friendly waitstaff. However, we arrived mid afternoon for a bite to eat and left a bit disappointed for a few reasons. First being we arrived moments before a day bus tour from Belfast pulled up and dumped dozens people into the pub. Though we ordered 20 minutes before they arrived we did not receive our food until 15 or so minutes after they were there and they had already began getting their food before us. The fish and chips weren't very good, while the fish was fresh tasting, the coating was drenched in oil and not very crispy, same goes for the chips. The seafood chowder was more potato than seafood or chowder, and while the braised beef Guinness stew was tasty, it was not hot at all. All in all the atmosphere, the staff, and the game of thrones decor (including the door) are lovely, but the food was barely average while being at or above an average price. Though I would recommend coming here for a pint.

Vegetarian option (stir-fry) was half the size of any meat meal that they offer. Zero protein, zero effort. All that for £9. Staff was also too slow. What a joke.

We stopped in here for some dinner and drinks late one evening after visiting the Carrick A Rede rope bridge. We ordered a pasta with creamy garlic sauce and steak which are were absolutely amazing! Easily the best restaurant we went to while visiting Ireland! You wont be dissapointed.
