Absolutely wonderful 3 night stay, cannot recommend this hotel enough. Everyone was fab, Charlotte on reception is brilliant, all round perfect place. Cannot wait to come back next year, it’s our new place when coming to Chester x.

Had my wedding here on the the 23rd November & I couldn’t ask for anything better.
The staff were super helpful & friendly. They all work so hard to make sure I had a perfect day. The food was absolutely amazing & there was plenty of choice, every one throughly enjoyed themselves.

Such a beautiful venue and staff! We had our wedding yesterday and both my new husband and I could not have asked for better. From enquiring about the venue to going to bed as husband and wife I can not praise everyone enough. Frankie from day one was absolutely amazing and very accommodating the Russell on the day was a brilliant toast master. We would like to thank everyone that went into making our day even better and easier than we could have imagined.

Absolutely beautiful venue and amazing staff! Our wedding yesterday couldn’t of ran any smoother, the food was incredible and all of the guests commented on how beautiful the grounds were.

Beautiful grounds and decor, the one thing I would suggest is the changing rooms for the swimming to have some slip proof mats maybe… my little girl slipped and really hurt her self, the afternoon tea was lovely. Staff also really helpful one of our party is vegetarian and they catered really well for her

Stayed here for work in March with 3 colleagues for work. I travel with work a lot and have to say this is one of the best, if not the best hotels I have ever stayed in. The rooms were spacious, the food was lovely, the communal areas were welcoming, but best of all was all the staff that made us feel so welcome; the kitchen even made us lunch to take to work! all the staff were amazingly helpful and kind and nothing was to much trouble. I highly recommend this hotel crina at reception was particularly fantastic and the waiter called Tom, hope I get to stay here again!

Stayed for one night only as part of a special offer for NHS heroes but although the staff were extremely friendly & both evening meal & breakfast were very nice the cleanliness of our room left a lot to be desired, cracked tiles in the bathroom walls, the small blind covering the bathroom window was filthy, the bath itself was dirty, the wash hand basin taps leaked when turned on & the hot water tap took a while to heat up again when turned on, the radiator in the bedroom was covered in cobwebs behind it, think this room was basic rather than executive but this is & shouldn’t be an excuse. The Hotel was beautiful from the outside as were the grounds but wouldn’t stay again or recommend to family or friends.

Very welcoming hotel, friendly staff. Good food. We enjoyed using the leisure facilities and we had lovely hot water during our stay.

We stayed in room 2. Avoid if you can. Not been swept, dusted l. Smelly drainage and very warm. Had to ask for a fan at 2am. Again dusty fan. No iron, hairdryer didn't work properly. Dirty towel left by housekeeping. Bathroom not moped.

Not good has a swimming pool that is very dirty and a very small sauna also dirty. Rooms are just ok staff are good. Quality of food is very poor. Spa is not a proper spa, which is very dirty.

Fantastic hotel. Highly recommended. We have just spent 2 nights in this beautiful hotel. The rooms were clean and comfortable and facilities excellent. You could not wish to find a more relaxing setting to unwind for a few hours, between the grounds and the lounges we were spoilt for choice. What made the stay special however was the superb customer service, probably the best we have come across and we stay regularly in hotels both UK and abroad. The staff were lovely from the Receptionists to the house keeping staff everyone had a smile and polite hello. It really did stand out. We will certainly be visiting again very soon.

Was a nice experience. Arrived at the hotel and had a complimentry upgrade! We was pleasantly surprised. Rooms are clean but old fashioned. Staff are friendly and food is ok.

Handy location for the hospital. The hotel sits in lovely and well maintained grounds. The staff were all very friendly and professional. Dinner in the restaurant was delicious and competitively priced. The pool and sauna aren't huge but they are well kept and as there wasn't a crowd of people clamouring to get in the size wasn't an issue. Our room was nicely appointed — not huge by any stretch but more than sufficient for one night. The bathroom was lovely and clean. Both rooms got very hot, even with heating off and window open! Breakfast was served between 7 and 10. Continental and full cooked were tasty and hot. I thoroughly recommend this hotel and will be returning.

Very nice hotel and great value for money on special package. Excellent room. Large, comfortable and exemplary cleanliness. Friendly welcome. Evening meal wasn't perfect. Food was excellent and good value for money. Think they had certain issues the night we dined. Service was a little stressed and not the most friendly. After subsequent conversation I'll put it down to a bad night!

Lovely hotel, drive up to it is beautiful and grounds. Inside also. Room was a bit dated and needed a bit of tlc for me, to dark, view was of a square piece of grass, could of done with something in there. The other window was the same and the top of a roof of pipes. It was a classic room. But it was large, warm, had a great night sleep. No water bottles but the booklet said if you wanted anything just ask. It also said a dvd/radio, but there wasn't. Evening meal and breakfast was lovely. Staff lovely too.

Stayed here for 1 night on the 23/3/2018 Lovely hotel staff extremely professional and helpful we had a 2 course meal which was nice and the buffet breakfast was really good nice location close too Chester.

On the surface a beautiful well appointed country house hotel. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Once we got to the room the reality began to emerge. Only one of the lamps worked and there was no overhead lighting in the bedroom. The room was overheated to a sweltering degree even with the windows open. Opening the window was a task in its self as the wooden frames were rotten and holed. The bathroom though well equipped had grout around the shower which would have benefited from a good scrub as would the limescale covered bath taps. Dinner was fabulous table service in the also sweltering dining room but breakfast was a serve yourself buffet strangely laid out in two rooms and stone cold.

Lovely hotel. Beautiful location. Beds a bit to firm for me but a bad is an individual thing. Warm clean and friendly. Main course of lamb hotpot was delicious.

My boyfriend and I stayed at the hotel the weekend just gone as a treat for Valentine's Day. We were very disappointed because we had high expectations after reading some really good reviews. The room we stayed in was very dark and run down and the toilet didn't work. The spa was dirty and staff were extremely unhelpful when asked about possible treatments. We had an evening meal in the hotel restaurant, the atmosphere was really good however we feel the food was very over priced and the portion sizes were very small. We also had breakfast at the hotel, unfortunately the food was very cold and the plates and glasses were dirty and we were left feeling extremely ill. Walking past the kitchen to get to the rooms is bad organisation as it got very crowded on the corridor, there was also a very bad smell. As we were leaving we also saw coats on top of the worktops in the kitchen which is very unhygienic. Some staff members were complaining about the way they were being treated by management, and this was audible to guests which is worrying! The weekend cost over £400 so we feel very let down by the service that was provided.

Went here as a treat had a wedding gift of afternoon tea from my husband's Neice. It was a lovely gift food was nice but the service was a bit lapse. Pre booked the night before but upon arrival the reception staff said they didn't have a booking but wud fit us in anyway! wen entering a room where we were served the afternoon tea it was totally empty, so couldn't see the problem of availability! Cups were dirty! stained badly to obviously see… just overall lapse service very poor… food was nice but did expect higher quality…

My brother sadly passed away and lived in Wrexham, myself and my family booked some rooms here 15 of us drove up from Cardiff and we're made very welcome upon registering in at reception the facilities were lovley the pool was nice and warm and clean and the beds were comfortable. The shower was really powerful and warm. The hotel was warm right the way through out. And if you take a walk around the grounds there is something to catch you eye no matter where you look. I would definitely come back in the summer months to look around and stay on happier circumstances. I would like to say a huge thank you from my self and my wife and all of our family for making it a pleasurable stay x.

The hotel itself was nice, bedroom lovely and clean. Staff very friendly and welcoming. Set in pleasant grounds. Breakfast very nice. However, we arrived on NYE, to find out the pool was closed, which we hadn't been advised. This was one of the key factors for choosing the hotel. For some reason there was also no hot water in the bathroom first thing in the morning, although we did get some after breakfast. All in all, a pleasant stay.

Attending a company function, celebrating Christmas. Really nice hotel great setting. Set back from the main road in a really nice area. Only saw the function room and bar, they were very well appointed and the perfect venue for a get together before the Christmas break. Staff were all very friendly and the Christmas dinner was really tasty. Would recommend to anyone.

Booked afternoon tea for 6 ladies as a pre Christmas get together. It was fabulous, lovely sandwiches, cakes and the most amazing scones with jam and cream, enough tea/coffee to sink a sub and 2 x glasses of Prosecco per person! Fantastic value for money and staff were very welcoming too. Thoroughly recommend it.

I was lucky enough to arrange a photoshoot at this wonderful wedding venue on Monday. Zoe and her team were just fantastic and kept in contact with me throughout the planning stages. On the day, everything we needed we had and all delivered by the staff with a smile. Thank you so much for making us feel so welcome and I can't wait to share the photographs with you!

Huge room with comfy bed, beautiful grounds excellent food, buffet breakfast was good lots of choice, enjoyed the pool but could do with some music playing! Wonderful staff had superb service would definitely recommend.

Quiet, pretty location, set back off a country lane. Fair sized room and comfortable bed, although ours was a little creaky on one side. Food was good. Would be nice if orange juice was fresh and not from a carton (apologies if it was, but it tasted like an average carton juice).

We got married here today and it was fantastic. Every single detail was thought about. Daniel the manager there was amazing and looked after us so well. Staff are amazing and food out of this world. Would recommend here to anyone but for us our day was made so special and we were also treated like special guests. Will definitely be back here to stay sometime… Thank you!

Lovely setting down quiet lane in own grounds. Popular wedding venue. Good food. Plenty of car parking.

Some staff were lovely, reception and bar staff but the restaurant staff left a lot to be desired. They took 2 hours to serve our lacklustre microwave meal and ignored a chocking child even when he vomited. Looked grand but lacked polish.

Was here on a small honeymoon with my husband… On first night he got hardly any sleep they had used two single beds and zipped them together, his side was totally noisy and even woke me up. He also mentioned that the mattress it self was uncomfortable. We got moved to another room. The breakfast was nice loads to pick From. We dined in at the restaurant for dinner one night and really enjoyed the food. The spa facilities are very basic, no steam room or jacuzzi. Average stay been to better places also been to worse.

Lovely hotel but second visit when I have had my sleep disturbed by noisy pipes or heating system. It sounded like swooshing water! Shame as hotel and setting are lovely. Staff also very friendly and helpful. We also had nice meal in the evening and breakfast was fine. Not having much sleep spoilt it though.

Cleanliness and refurbishment needed. Hotel staff not the friendliest. Booked a meal late at 930pm, that seem to be acceptable until we went to eat and were told the kitchen closes at 930pm. Explain the situation to no avail. Went to the Grosvenor Pulford up the road to eat, great food there. Although the radiator in the room was not on it constantly made noise or night. Not the happiest experience staying in this hotel. Business trips up that way every fortnight, their loss. Was not even asked at the end how my stay was!

The hotel itself was well presented with lovely grounds however when you looked with a little more scrutiny you could see some issues. A lot of the carpets in the main corridors were coming up along the walls and in the corners. Although we had a double room we got given 2 single beds pushed together and the mattresses were old, squeaky and curled at the edges. However we found all the staff to be exceptional and more than happy to help with any problems we had. Also the free drinks vouchers were a nice touch.

Thoroughly enjoyed our two night break at this hotel. The food was fabulous and the staff were friendly, attentive and helpful. Would not hesitate to recommend to anyone and I will definitely be booking again.

An initial issue with a room extremely and professionally well handled, good food, nice surroundings in small welsh village. Plenty of facilities, pool, spa and gym, a mix of older and updated rooms.

Lovely situation, a building with much potential too. However it is let down by the tired condition of the structure. The present owners have painted the main areas but it is desperately in need of a full refurbishment. Also they should consider investing in more staff as there seemed to be one lady who covered reception / the leisure suite / the restaurant and general queries. The restaurant was really good and meals were very nice. The staff in there were very polite and helpful. Breakfast was plentiful and they had a good selection to cater for all tastes. The bedrooms were also tired and in desperate need of refresh, as was the en suite which had cigarette burns above the sink. The note on the window said to use the pull cord for the curtains but that was missing, as was the heating — just a cold radiator that didn't respond regardless of the thermostat's position. We booked for a spa weekend, I'm afraid the spa was much to be desired. The pool was tiny and poorly lit. There was no jacuzzi / spa pool. The sauna was small but good. The beautician was very good although her treatment room was small and we had to walk though the leisure suite to use the changing room showers. The changing rooms were ok but half the lockers don't work and the showers (well the one that works) are under powered and mouldy and have dirty holes where previous fittings have been removed.

If you do take a chance and book at this hotel I would make sure that there is not a wedding reception on at the same time as your stay, I would also telephone to make sure that everything which you think you have reserved is going to be honoured as they seem to change your reservation to fit round weddings. If you do take a chance and you are unhappy don’t bother making a complaint the staff at the hotel are not interested it is quiet clear that the customer is at fault. I contacted Best Weston Customer service, as our reservation had been change due to a wedding without contacting us first, we ended up staying at another hotel which happened to be a sister hotel to Llyndir Hall. We asked Llyndir Hall to arrange to honour the room rate, as we had to pay an addition a £75.00 for 1 night plus £15.00 car parking As Best Weston does not own the hotels their customer service department cannot or will not do anything to help the customer, but refer you back to the hotel. We emailed asking Llyndir Hall to refund the extra £90.00 we had to pay we were told in no certain way that this would not happen. If you think the Manager / Staff were unhelpful when you complain at arrive at the hotel wait until you get into email communication, not only is the customer in the wrong but it’s insinuated that you have made the whole complaint up and the problem was your fault. Lets say his description of events seem to differ somewhat to actual events.

Hotel grounds nice. Room nice. Don't expect to eat though. The number of restaurant/bar tables to rooms ratio is wrong wrong wrong. Not many at all. Ridiculous. Yet there is a large room, which I guess is used for breakfast, completely empty. Madness!
