Fantastic staff. Especially Ray who makes a big fuss of my boys. Lovely food. Love taking my boys there as such a welcoming and warm feeling from all xx.

Food was amazing, staff were lovely and friendly and brilliant with my little girl. Would definitely recommend for a lovely meal.

Quality of food was superb but portions were too large.

We went to the Bull for a private party last weekend. The buffet they served was fabulous and plates kept coming out. We had a meal there later in the evening which was excellent and huge portions. Would definitely recommend.

Excellent food and prompt service. Would recommend the sirloin steak, cooked to perfection. Dog friendly too.

Food was excellent, service was very good, but we told them the rooms were cold after our first night stay and they said they’d ask to ask if they could put the heating on, they didn’t put it on, when asked the following day she said she’d forgotten. My wife was suffering badly with the flu and the cold room just compounded it, she even slept with her coat on!

This is the second of three nights staying here. On both days breakfast was superb food hot didn’t have to wait long and brilliant service. The room is clean and comfortable and surprisingly no noise from the pub behind the room. Very impressed and would stay here again.

Room was ok bathroom mouldy and smelly no wardrobe at all only draws … don’t know how it’s got a 4 star rating and they can charge £100 a night. Also TV had no signal, expected to use I towel for 2 night stay. Hotel very tired looking up stairs and very smelly and dirty too.

Excellent lunch. Highly recommended.

Stopped for Sunday lunch and it was worth going there for the carvery and it was very busy too, service was excellent too.

Nice place for a Sunday carvery, food was very nice. Beautifully cooked meats and lots of choice of vegetables and trimmings. Excellent value for money.

We’ve just had a lovely meal, at the The Bull Hotel. Thank you, we’ve been a few times and it just keeps getting better. The lasagne was the best pub/restaurant cooked meal we’ve had. Keep it up!

Small bar and a long wait to be served one of their limited beers.

It says 'Cask Ales' on the pub sign on the roadside. Visited The Bull in October half term 2017 to be told "we don't have any cask ales on currently"… Went there for a 2nd time during the Spring Bank Holiday in 2018 to be told (by a very rude member of bar staff) "we don't have any cask ales on currently". Put the words 'organise' and 'brewery' into a sentence… In short, the Bull is terrible.

Stayed the night. Smelt of skunk. Not overly polite. Breakfast was o. K.

Not enough tables set up for the pub quiz on Thursdays. Food can be mixed — sometimes nice other times poor, most staff are nice. Good for watching sport however decor could use an spruce up.

Unfortunately mother's Day carvery was a wash out, not enough staff, missing bookings, cold food & no space, a big disappointment and ended up having a wonderful carvery at the Valley hotel.

Mother’s Day special carvery was lovely today. Very busy but all the staff coped well. 3 generous meats portions offered and a wide selection of potatoes and veg and a giant home made Yorkshire pudding. Everyone enjoyed their meal, will definitely be back again soon.

2nd time there. Very good rooms. Great breakfast. Loads of car parking.

Popped in for lunch. Nice and cosy with the fire roaring and we had a lovely lunch too ☺

Sunday carvery very poor, extremely fatty poorly cooked meats, good selection of veg, but cold & no roast potatoes. Staff quite pleasant. But we certainly won't return.

Friendly staff food very nice but not much beer to choose from, especially no Guinness. That's a no no.

Cold place bar staff hard to get on with if you can find them but a good pint. Good parking space.?

Visited in short notice as a group of 11 and was welcomed by friendly staff to accomodate for sunday roast. Good food and great atmosphere.

Came for Sunday lunch for my mother's birthday today, the young guy was very confused about what meat was on and he said the lamb was turkey so not a good start, sat down to eat, it was cold, roast potatoes like bullets, meat over done and cheap cuts of meat and gravy like water, we've been going for the carvery for years and it's always been beautiful, such a shame very disappointing! made to feel very uncomfortable because we were honest about the meal and other diners were just leaving the food and not telling them it was awful, we had no apology! Appalling service it will be along time until I go back.

Wow what a great meal and great service.

Came here with friends for food in the afternoon food wasn't great we had steak and wasn't cooked properly. We had eaten half of our food, while we were still waiting for the sauce to accompany our steak, we had to ask if it was coming when paying they didn't tell us that the sauce doesn't come with the steak and is extra so had to pay for that as well. The girl who served us was also miserable no smile or anything not a great experience at all will not be going back.

Recently painted. Seems tidy enough but open plan format causes a lot of ambient noise.

We went here for dinner on Saturday evening as a group of 8. The food was good, and everyone enjoyed the food. Which is unusual, you normally get a bad meal in a group. The only issue we had was the service. While the staff were pleasant, the starters came out a couple at a time. A few of us had finished before one starter had arrived. That said the food made up for it.

Party of 4 had fish and chips, burger and chips and gammon. All massive portions and great taste. Good price also. Will be returning during our week stay on the island.

Clean room great Wi-Fi and decent shower.

Not the best selection of beers but friendly staff. Beer was off but they happily replaced as you would expect.

Location is great. On the main road but still quiet. Lovely interior but I think the drinks are a bit too expensive. Yet to try food.

The Bull hotel was easy to find, and fairly price. The room was clean and fresh and the staff friendly and assertive. The breakfast menu offered good choices, as well as full English, there was eggs other cooked options as well as a choice of cereals, yogurt's etc. I ordered the full English or in this case full Welsh and it was very nice indeed. A couple of negatives, walls very thin, could here the people on both sides, and although check in was at 2pm, we arrived at 2pm and our room was not yet ready. All in all a good stay.

Nice meal (fish and chips) good portion and piping hot. Staff pleasant and efficient.

Good food with a limited range of real ale. The customer service is good and the menu caters well for all including vegetarian types.

Lovely meal tonight. Will definitely be back.

Sunday cavery was great. Lots of tasty food to choose from. Most importantly the yorkshires and gravy are homemade. The only thing that lets the place down is the dated interior. Other than that the service and food is great.

This place was the pits to stay in. Very dated, untidy and fair to say not that clean either. The staff didn't have a clue and breakfast. Well, I'd be better off going to Macdonalds Hated this place and could not wait to get out of there. Thanks for your understand Sue!

Great Thursday evening quiz. Friendly staff. Good beer. Nice beer garden.
