We had an amazing kayaking session today. It was well organised and the staff went above and beyond to ensure we could make it — thanks for the lift! We loved paddling out into the waves and trying to catch the surf back into the beach.

Enjoyed coasteering this morning — 2 adults / 2 kids (16 & 14). It was great fun, well organised, instructor was brilliant and well informed. Always a lower option for jumping in the water. Definitely recommend — even for those who are a bit more cautious in the water like me 😊

Tried coasteering last week when we were visiting the lovely Faye! Had an amazing time! What an adventure! Jess was such a great instructor — safe, calm, kind, caring and VERY knowledgeable. Can't recommend enough!

Fantastic place to stay. It isn't the Ritz but its clean and warm and has the best drying room in Wales. The staff are friendly and it has a nice atmosphere especially in the pub 'The Paddlers Return' which has really good food.

Wonderful staff, superb location and top rate facilities help explain why I’ve visited many times over the last 20 years. But one thing would make AO even better — a system for recording lost property and reuniting it with owners. A couple of weeks ago I left a sports towel in the centre, and in May a merino wool tee-shirt. Both cost £30 or so. But both times I phoned reception they had no idea where to look or who ask, and seem to have had no guidance from management. Do hope one of the wonderful folk at AO will take the initiative and sort this out.

Completely set up to cater for you and all your kit — whatever you have been up to. Fantastically supportive. They let me leave my car on site for 12 days while I walked the Anglesey coast path.

We had a fantastic day canyoning last week with Lewis, definitely one of the best things we have done as a family. Lewis was great, Ollie said it was the best day of his life so far. John, Sarah, Owen and Ollie…
Highly recommend.

We stayed in an eco pod. It was compact but beautifully equipped with everything you could possibly need. The surroundings were stunning, it's a beautiful location.
The bistro serves amazing home cooked fresh delicious food, the only negative was the wine!

Just spent a wonderful two nights here in one of their wooden huts. Beautifully clean, simply furnished with a microwave, kettle and tea/coffee great storage and comfy beds. Staff were polite and friendly. Very approachable and knowledgeable about the area. Shower/toilet facilities were clean and well maintained. With the huts you can use the “posh” facilities but to be honest it was further to walk in the night and the normal ones were fine. … Even though the site was fully booked it didn’t feel crowded at all, there was no late noise. The only thing I would change is that in a hut for two perhaps two of each cutlery/crockery would have been useful but we had our own anyway! All in all a great place to stay.

Amazing. Value for money, great for kids of all ages, clean and incredibly friendly staff. Our en suite toilet was faulty, but there are so many other toilets in the building close by, it didn't really affect us. Will be coming back next year for sure!

Stayed 3 nights here, reasonably priced for our motorhome, various other accommodation available and activities, evening bar and bistro, homemade chicken pie with whole thigh of chicken. Interesting rustic decor. Would stay again.

My personal thanks to all the friendly staff I spoke to at the centre this week, particularly to Josh for putting up with my company throughout the opening, gruelling 41 miles of the Anglesey coastal path run. I will definitely be recommending to others and will be back soon hopefully to experience a bit more of Holy Island on a clear day.

Love staying here every time I use the late ferry from Dublin. Excellent value, friendly and love the simple yet cool decor. Highly recommended.

Had a fantastic first experience of coasteering which was a last-minute booking with two mazing instructors Pat & Pete who had loads of local knowledge and marine life. Cannot wait to bring my nieces and nephew in the summer holiday.

Great little camp site combined with an outdoor activity centre. Close to great beaches, also has a good pub on site with good fresh cooked food.

Great place, out of the way, close to the beach, great for kayaking with varied accommodation. Also great for camping and families. Good pub on sight that does fresh cooked meals.

A huge thank you to Greg, Tom and Pete for a fantastic coasteering experience, we had a team of clients on an ‘adventure weekend’ and these guys certainly delivered on Adventure. Professional from the get go our clients left with a big smile and a feeling of accomplishment, we’ll most definitely be back. If you’re in the Anglesey area I would highly recommend checking them out. We also stayed the Night at Anglesey outdoors and were met by warm and welcoming bunch of staff (a big shout out to Irene and thanks for singing happy birthday) the facilities are great and the breakfast was just what we needed before heading out to the coastline. Thanks again, we’ll see you in the near future.

Had a fantastic fun filled action packed afternoon Coasteering. The instructors were very professional and motivating. Would definitely go again. Thank you for such an amazing experience.

Anglesey out doors has it all. Camping, clamping in pods and yurts and a bunk house. They have the best drying room in the universe! a bar with food. The chief is excellent. Their prices a good to. Camping is £6 per person per night.

We have stayed here in our motorhome a lot over the last 6months whilst attending sea kayak courses. The hard standing is good however due the very wet ground we have been unable to get on them. Looking forward to visiting again. Lovely friendly staff.

Good value for the money with great walks around the coast.

This was a great place to stay. The kitchen was well equipped and clean. The private bedroom I stayed in was nice as well. The staff were polite, friendly and helpful.

It's a very cozy building, not too big or small. The dorms are decently sized, but the beds aren't the best.

Friendly staff, well looked after rooms and a great location for a field trip — would recommend it to anyone looking to take a group of students out to do some ecological studies.

We had a great time with our choir, not to far from the beach, on site bar, amazing landscapes… a walkers dream! I would of given 5 stars however The downstairs accommodation really needs some work, mattresses are paper think as are the pillows. The smaller twin room has a badly leaking toilet… serious attention needed because that's just grosssssss! Staff are friendly, there's activity equipment and the Tesco extra, Morrisons and other shops are 20min walk or 5mins in car!

I went here with school for a week and I absolutely loved it. We did multiple activities. One of my favourite things we did was going down to the beaches and jumping in the cold salty water.

What a phenomenally fun day! The staff were amazing for the coasteering and Orienteering was fast paced and an exciting competition. The night line was high entertaining to do and watch. It was a great site, some people in the group weren't a fan of being surrounded by chickens whilst eating lunch. But, it was hilarious to watch, I would recommend throughly.

Fair price, not the most luxurious campsite ever. The recent upgrade was definitely necessary and to the point. Friendly staff. Peddlers return serves excellent food for a decent price.

What a fantastic place I highly recommend it. The hostel was brilliant staff were great, very welcoming. The kids enjoyed the activities, coasteering instructor made it an enjoyable experience for my two lads 15 and 17yrs.
The beach/coast pristine within a 10 minute walk. My 6yr old loved the chickens which roam free around outside the hostel, even the cheeky one that pinched his bag of food being impatient as it couldn't wait any longer for a bit of crust.
The whole experience was well worth it and I'm sure we'll be visiting again!

Fantastic! The staff are very friendly and welcoming! I would highly recommend! We stayed in Ty Penn, facilities were very clean. Brilliant location to explore the area with a beautiful beach 5 minutes away with lovely walking trails. I couldn't recommend this place enough! Beyond happy with our visit, hope to return for camping!

I stayed for one night in Aug 2014 and value for money must be the best place I've stayed in. It's not luxury but quiet and comfortable and extremely good value. Happily stay again no problems.

Awesome place to stay. I was only there for one night but the owner was extremely welcoming, kind and helpful. I told her that I didn't eat meat and she made sure there was some food for me to eat in the morning. Definitely recommend.

The hostel is located a good ways out of town on a road without a sidewalk, but walking there is not too difficult. Don't think it'll be easy to pop into town, though. The room I had was spare: sink, single chair, bedside table, lamp, radiator, two beds with sheets and blankets provided. Despite the radiator the room was a little chilly at night. Comfortable couches were in the lounge, along with a large-screen TV, microwave, stove, refrigerator. Everything was clean, though aged. When I stayed here, during January, it was very quiet; there were only two other people there that night. Apparently it is like this throughout the winter. The biggest disappointment was that the staff did not seem as knowledgeable about the area as one would hope. Even though ferry terminals are the main reason most people go to Holyhead, there were no printed schedules available. Walking times to local destinations were not known, nor did the staff have maps on hand (though they did find some in brochures they had). Over all, a good night's sleep and no major complaints.
