Had an amazing stay great location with easy access around Edinburgh Beautiful rooms with friendly staff.

The owners Margareth and Daveid are very helpful and kind. Breakfast offers a various menu and they cook hot dishes at the moment. In the room there was also everything you need to make tea next to the bed. Lovely experience.

Well-decorated. The bathroom appears to be recently updated. Looks very nice. Our room is spacious for a B&B with a queen bed. Home built in the mid 1800. Close to busses, laundry mat and some restaurants.

This is a beautiful, quaint little hotel, located conveniently close to the city centre, having good transportation access. The hotel is maintained at a highly professional level. The staff are extremely friendly and made us feel right at home. It has very pretty interiors and very clean rooms. I would highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Edinburgh. The hotel is run by a family, who were extremely helpful in suggesting places for us to visit.

Love staying clean comfortable best breakfast and plenty of it short walk to swimming pool and Cameron toll shopping centre not to far out of the city Margaret and david perfect hosts x.

Lovely B&B, just a short walk into Edinburgh centre, we had 2 good breakfasts, plenty to eat & well cooked, bed was very comfy & a nice peaceful room over looking Arthur's seat. Thanks to Margaret David & Melanie for looking after us.

This is a lovely place to stay been staying here last 20 year Margret and David are the nicest hosts you will meet, and the location is great for getting in and out of the city.

Lovely charming room, very large and comfortable beds. They treated us very well. Very rich Scottish breakfast. In the room you have coffee and coffee, teas and cookies for breakfast in the room if you like. They have a portable fridge if you request it. If we returned to Edinburgh we would definitely stay there.

Wonderful B&B, warm welcome, beautiful room, excellent breakfast & all just 1.2 miles from The Castle, The Royal Mike & Prince's Street. Highly recommended. Would come again.

Fantastic rooms great service abd great breakfast.

The Gifford House is an adorably quaint B&B just south of Old Town Edinburgh. It is an easy 15 minute walk or 8 minute Uber to the downtown area. The accommodations were spacious and clean. The owners were incredibly sweet and flexible. There is a fantastic guest information book in the room providing knowledge about the city. The breakfast was quick and delicious. I will stay in the Gifford House when I visit Edinburgh again.

Exceptional place. The owners are very friendly and more than willing to help out or have a chat. Just a shame it's not nearer the city centre and that it's a bit on the expensive side!

Outstanding experience. Lovely big room, fantastic beds and linens, extremely clean and super shower. Margaret good host and very good to give us early start breakfast, even on Sunday. Highly recommend.

My family and I stayed at the Gifford House for 3 nights while in Edinburgh and it was wonderful. The owners are wonderful people who make sure your stay is comfortable. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Edinburgh. Thank you for being so kind and so very friendly and helpful.

This is a lovely place which really nice rooms and bathrooms. The owners were nice people. It's a bit far from the busy areas though there are buses available just outside. In the time of bus diversions however, it becomes a bit hard to travel. There are only stairs to the rooms so this might be a problem for people who have trouble with their legs. The breakfast served was rather nice as well. If we had booked earlier we would have gotten a much better price and it would have been really good value for money. There is a hill just nearby which looks like it would be fantastic to climb. There is a large selection of movies in the lobby, all fantastic ones. Overall, this is a nice place that we would stay at again, however, we may want to do some research on the state of public transport before we go.
