What a lovely stay we had here — sweet little guesthouse, very quiet and clean with a fantastic host who even provided gluten free bread with our breakfast. Would highly recommend staying here!

Excellent very homely and welcoming, lovely breakfast.

I stay at around 20 BnBs a year, I do a lot of County and large Flower Shows. Of all these places the very best is without doubt Bryn Celn. I stayed there first about 10 years ago when I was desperate for a room during the Royal Welsh Show. Lil took pity on me and sqeezed me in, so typical of her, she is just a lovely human being. Since then I have been back every year. Nothing is too much trouble for Lil. She has a lovely smile, an excellent memory and is a fount of local knowledge AND Malcolm’s breakfasts are legendary, served promptly and courteously by the ever charming Lil. I have stayed in some other excellent BnBs but none are as well organised, thoughtfully run and noteworthy as this one. When I turn the corner into Dolcoed Road each year I feel like I’m coming home. And what a place: Llanwyrtyd Wells is the smallest town in the UK but it absolutely oozes character: the charming three storeyed houses painted in all the colours of the spectrum, the giant statue of the region’s most noteworthy inhabitant — a Red Kite, the river that meanders through the town and the many restaurants which vary from the cheap and cheerful to ones which are frequented by the rich and famous (The Drovers’ Rest has won awards and it is less than 10 yards from Bryn Celyn). Moreover, Llanwrytyd Wells is a stunning little place, chocolate-box pretty and sited in an area of outstanding natural beauty. I have to admit that I have had reservations about leaving this review because I am selfish.

Very comfortable and friendly guesthouse.

This is a lovely little B&B which isn't expensive The rooms are large (well mine was) with a big comfortable bed and large clean en-suite. The landlady was lovely and couldn't have been more helpful. All in all this is a great place to stay if walking or travelling around up in the mid Wales/Powys area. Very happy with everything and would stay again if in that area.

Lil is a real gem of a lady and certainly nothing is too much trouble. Our packed lunches were beautifully fresh. Our room at the top was very clean and warm and cosy, but with a lot of room for everything. The water was always hot a great shower too. Everything we needed was there in the room. The breakfast was lovely excellent. I would recommend this guesthouse to anybody whatever you're number of party. Thank you … Kim and Debs Fawkes.

Our wonderful hosts are so friendly and obliging, the breakfast is excellent and lovely homely rooms.

Stayed here for a night while attending a family wedding celebration. Comfortable room, extremely helpful landlady, delicious breakfast. Would definitely stay here again.

From the start we had a warm welcome. Lil and Malcolm made us feel extremely welcome, the rooms were comfortable and we all had a great nights sleep. The breakfast in the morning was also brilliant. A great place to stay and wonderful hosts who made us feel at home.
