We had lunch at the Castell and it was exquisite. Three courses and a wine for 2 was a very reasonable £110 and even came with a free entry pass to the Portmeiron village. Restaurant service was exceptional and professional, just like it should be although one wouldn't want to spend too long in the reception as the roaring fire was hotter than a volcano.

Lovely food and excellent service. They know how to look after you! The venue is beautiful and you get entry to Portmeirion with a two course meal. It’s very reasonably priced too. Can’t recommend enough.

Beautiful setting in Portmeirion. While slightly far away from the water, offers a much more relaxed dining experience than the main restaurant.

Contemporary room at the castle, excellent quality. Try the 9 course tasting menu at the hotel (£15 supplement) wine flight available if you have the capacity :-). Portmeirion is one of the British Isles jewels. See it at night to get an entirely different perspective.

Great food with outstanding service. We are from the mid-week lunch menu which was good value at £20 for two courses or £25 for three. Having a two course lunch also gives you free admission to Portmeirion in the afternoon which is worth about £12 per adult.

Well worth a visit! An amazing setting to have lunch with very attentive staff making sure you get best possible service! Will be back when we next visit Wales!

Sir David Williams built this early Victorian Castell Deudraeth from 1859 till 1929. He was also the first Liberal MP for Merioneth. This beautiful Castell Deudraeth is set in Portmeirion U. K. Also the set for the television series The Prisoner is situated in the same area. A must to visit!

Amazing building, staff and facilities. We stayed here on the first two nights on our honeymoon in March 2018 and it was a perfect beginning for us. Complimentary entry to the Village and with its own Prisoner Channel to watch when you are in your suite.

Wonderful hotel. The room took our breath away with size and comfort levels. The fireplace downstairs is amazing. Breakfast was very nice. Incredible to stay here at last after having first seen the Castle in The Prisoner nigh on 50 years ago.

Went for a meal only not a stay but been before and it's a lovely place, full of character, food and hospitality first class. Would always come again.

Fabulous accommodation, food and service where the staff couldn't have been any more friendly or attentive. We had a large room (more like a suite) in the castle, with garden & estuary views (from 4 windows). We ate in the Port Meirion hotel (fine dining) in the Italianate village 1 night (24hr complimentary minibus for hort transfer) & the Castle brasserie on the 2nd night. Drinks & wine were very competitively priced for such a luxury menu & the brasserie was a much less formal restaurant, with a more varied menu for the teenagers and 'fussy' eaters within our party of 6. We enjoyed a 2 night D, B&B break with a complimentary bottle of wine & free unlimited access to Port Meirion village (normally £8/person per day) for £300. We thoroughly enjoyed where walking alng the miles of footpaths along the estuary & beach & through the village, woods & gardens. Can't wait to return.

Very nice food and service, great setting as well. The fire you could fall asleep against.

Food was absolutely delicious. The plan was spectacular — light and airy but cosy at the same time with the open fire going. The only reason it's 4 and not 5 is that some of the staff seemed a bit disinterested and getting anyone's attention when we wanted to pay the bill of all things, proved to be quite a challenge!

Pleasant enough food, nice interior with good service, and reasonably priced. I'd say the chocolate tart dessert was my highlight, oh and the portmeirion architect's ale.

Excellent 2 course lunch here which also entitled you to free entry to the Village in that day. Particularly enjoyed the chicken terrine with home made picallili. It was a warm day so the glass of red wine was warm from the bar. I reported this and they promptly offered to get a fresh bottle from the cellar and gave me a new glass. Great service.

Fantastic experience in the penthouse. Staff were first class and room service was perfect. Only 5 minute walk from the village but there is an on-demand shuttle available.

We just had a Lunch but was great. Staff very helpful. We asked for 2 fish and chips, a bottle of wine for a total of £47. Was very good, they offer deserves as well.

Stayed with my partner in the penthouse suite. The room was very well appointed and beautifully presented. All of the staff were professional and a joy to talk to, special mention for Sarah who was an absolute delight. Cant fault a single thing. Many thanks to everyone who helped to make our stay a real pleasure.

I have stayed at portmeirion many times and every single visit has been absolutely fantastic. The staff are always very friendly and helpful, the food is amazing and the village itself is truely beautiful, I would highly recommend it to anyone.

Situated in a bizarre yet quaint little village-cum-museum, it is a unique experience. The rooms are adequate, the food we didn't try but I'm told is good quality and the location is idyllic if a little odd.

I only stopped for a coffee and it was very good coffee, bring your wallet though! Worth it with great views and quirky architecture though. Will come again.

We went to visit the village. Beautiful place with beautiful walks. Great day out although a little expensive once inside.

Great place. Worth every penny. Lovely, distinctive, and charming. Meals very nicely prepared. Quiet in the Village once tourist go at about 6pm. Unlike the Prisoner, it's a place to stay.

We actually started at the Castle Deudraeth, which is about half a mile up the road from the main hotel in the village. There is a complimentary minibus, on demand, so it's just as good as being down in the village. The rooms are huge and well appointed. The bathroom was a little tired but really nothing to get upset about. The food in the hotel was possibly a bit more impressive than in the castle but both were good. The village itself is beautiful and insane in equal measures. It's a great place to stay, and I wouldn't think twice about staying in the castle if the hotel is full.

We visited for an evening meal and afternoon tea the following day and each time was simply wonderful. The occasion was for a 50th birthday celebration but it was still a surprise when they brought out 4 glasses of champagne on the house while we were waiting for out table. In fact the service in general was exemplary, I've never been happier to leave a tip. The food itself was in its own league, with every dish being a uniquely memorable combination of flavours cooked to perfection. The portions were small, as expected at a restaurant like this, but nevertheless I left feeling full and satisfied and would gladly come again for a similar celebration. The afternoon tea the following day was also a joy, we sat for hours eating cake and admiring the stunning view. I'd recommend it to anyone.

We stayed at the Portmeirion Hotel for two nights at the end of our honeymoon. It was simply fabulous luxury. We'd stayed at a 5* hotel in Cardiff earlier in the week and it was not even in the same league as Portmeirion. Greeted at the car park barrier by a uniformed member of staff who was expecting us, directed through to the hotel car park. Met at the car park by a porter who directed us into our personal parking space and carried our bags into the fabulous hotel. Superb check-in. This is not a business hotel so don't expect a desk in the room. Rooms are unique and quirky. Beautiful period furniture. Comfortable bed with excellent pristine linen. Free sherry in decanter on arrival (and replaced each day). Quality bathroom. Cleanliness throughout of the highest quality. The hotel itself is beautiful, with fabulous features throughout. Fireplaces, panelling, seating etc all excellent. We dined in the main hotel restaurant on both nights and we were not disappointed. Excellent staff, particularly the Maitre D' who was fabulous and handled our specific food requests with aplomb. It's not cheap and makes no bones about that, but worth every penny. The food was exquisite, from the amuse bouche to the final coffee. Ingredients were of the highest order, and beautifully prepared. Breakfast was similarly superb.

Location of the hotel is its biggest plus as the setting is beautiful and our 4 poster bed room had magnificent, sweeping views of the estuary. Staff variable. Some very good, others a bit indifferent or inefficient. Restaurant service at times a bit haphazard too but better on our 2nd night. Food very nice but expensive. Table d'hote menu very limited so we strayed into A la carte, which attracts quite considerable supplements. Wifi worked well on first day, not at all thereafter. Reported this to Reception but no improvement. Our DBB package cost £259 per NIGHT, which is bordering on the extortionate. Wouldn't do it again at the price but location and village are absolutely beautiful.

Wife loved it. Interesting eclectic mix of architecture. Cool back story. Went for italian food option, pretty average food. But better options avail.
