Excellent hotel, friendly staff and great service. Plenty of history in this hotel, the artwork dotted around the bar, corridors, rooms etc are a gem within themselves with art from Aberdeens history, oil industry from the early days, country and seascapes. Always a smile here and certainly with its atmosphere and ambience I would highly recommend this hotel as probably the best in Aberdeen.

Had a fantastic weekend here with Dominic Kirwan and friends, fab food and the friendliest of staff, will be back next year 🥰

Having stayed at numerous hotels during the pandemic, I don’t expect hotels to put a full menu on, but the Douglas Hotel went above and beyond with their menu of 5 starters and 13 mains.
The staff are also excellent and can’t help enough.

Recently stayed here for the weekend. Room lovely, meals excellent quality, hearty breakfast, great service from the staff. Overall a lovely hotel with great atmosphere and friendly staff, would definitely stay again.

I would definitely recommend the Douglas hotel after we stayed there for the first time recently. All the staff were very friendly with a relaxing atmosphere and nothing was too much bother for them. The restaurant served lovely food, the room was spotless and spacious and, although in the centre of town on the very busy Market Street, it was quiet and peaceful with very little outside noise. Will absolutely book there again.

A fabulous, privately owned hotel. Wonderful, attentive staff, great food and service.
They now do dog friendly brunch on a Sunday.

I have stayed here numerous times over the last eight or nine years. Reception is always friendly and helpful. Rooms are always in good and clean order. The various function rooms always meet our needs. Molly's Bistro has a good variety of choice selections and the daily breakfast is a filling way to start your day.

Their afternoon tea is phenomenal!
Just experienced an event there today.
An afternoon tea for almost 150 ladies raising money for charity.
The food was amazing
Plenty of choice
Nothing was too much bother (and from an organisational point this was great service)
Their staff are a HUGE credit to them

Had the pleasure of staying here during a business trip. Every member of staff that I spoke to was friendly and keen to make my stay a pleasant one. The room that I had was first class, spacious, well equipped with everything I required ; iron tea coffee etc. Food was excellent as was the service.
Happy to recommend.

My wife and myself stayed for four days the food in molly's bar we thought was excellent can't thought it for the price and outside the hotel just steps away you have loads of bars and restaurants we was at a wedding and everything was spot on.

Very friendly and professional staff, always helpful. Nice spacous rooms excellent restaurant, stayed several occasions highly recommend.

I’ve stayed in the Douglas hotel on and off since June compared to the Hilton double tree your hotel rooms and staff are way ahead where they do take the time to get to know you

Greeted with a smile and curtisy. My double room ideal for my needs. A few very minor maintenance requirements, nothing is always a liking to individuals. Molly's a VG place to dine. Hotel breakfast excellent.

Fantastic Hotel, I actually moved to this one from another hotel close-by as that was awful. Kelly on reception was incredibly helpful and made my stay fantastic. The room was excellent, secure parking was available and the breakfast was great. I was able to choose between staying in apartments or the hotel itself and I chose the Hotel. Next time I visit Aberdeen I will be choosing to stay here.

Tired Decor, Noisy Hotel 1960 type Double glazing which does not work because they have screwed the old Sash windows in the open position, so it's only single glazed and being right above a noisy Irish Pub and main road, you can imagine sleep was at a premium. Slap right bang in the middle of the city centre, so if you want a city centre noisey Hotel, then book here! Decor is best described as Brown and old!

Excellent from start to finish, warm, friendly, efficient staff, great food in the restaurant and huge rooms with piping hot showers and massive comfy beds. Highly recommend if you're staying over in Aberdeen.

Been to this hotel a number of times good excellent rooms very tidy staff can't do enough to help you would recommend to all.

This hotel is 'interesting" because I feel like we had an experience most people do not here. We were not in the hotel. We were given an apartment like suite with a kitchen and living room across the ally. It was private and there was a washing machine. When you travel, a washing machine is a big win, but there was no hot water in the bathtub (shower had plenty! ). So, because we were apart from the hotel in a separate complex, it was not as easy as just phoning down to the desk for a fix on the hot water. It was easy to get to everything from food to entertainment. I only gave it four stars because I can't really say I am a fan, but the apartment was extremely clean and nice. It just felt like you were staying in someone's home. Give it a try for yourself… I would recommend the hotel for the great breakfast and good staff… and the apartment was very good. It would be nice if the parking was on-site and not so expensive.

Amazing experience in this hotel quite shocked it's only 3 star. Staff are brilliant and the food at night is another level. Breakfast is very good with a wide selection of food healthy or something not so healthy. Very high standard.

Lovely clean hotel. We stayed for the weekend as visited family in Aberdeen. The breakfast was tasty with lots of choice. Staff fabulous. Will stay here again.

My self and 3 friends stayed over last night on the “girls night in” package deal and what a deal it was. So worth it. We had a great night, tapas was amazing, bubbles flowing, what more do you need on a Sat night. Rooms were great, very clean and big!
The staff were lovely and the breakfast in the morning was fab and all for £45 per head!
The rooms were very hot at night with no heating on and windows open, it was a warm night, but that’s not something the hotel can do anything about apart from maybe a wee plug in fan in the room.
We will defo be back for another girls night in.

Enjoyable week long stay — high quality rooms and superb staff.

I stay here for work I was doing in Aberdeen found the staff very helpful and friendly. Rooms were nice and clean.

Doing a great deal — Steak dinner for two, with bottle of wine, breakfast and accommodation for £115. Food is very good and service to match. We got an apartment for the night also for our £115.

Cold rooms, because the windows do not close tightly, poorly worked shower. Breakfast was good. Very expensive rooms.

Rooms are ok and clean. Staff is friendly and helpful. Food is good. Location is close to center, ferry terminal and bus station.

Room spacious but very warm. Radiators were off and window open but still sweltering in the room. Dinner OK. Breakfast was nice.

Hotel is in an ideal location for Union Square and the train station. Staff very friendly and rooms clean and comfortable. Good breakfast.

Went here for our works Christmas night out. Food was amazing and atmosphere was fantastic. No problems at all.

Friendly staff, a great location for being in the centre of Aberdeen. Great food in Molly's bistro and a lovely breakfast in the morning.

This hotel is situated just off Union Street and just up from Union square, and a four minutes walk from the bus and train station. Check I'm was easy and quick, carried out by friendly staff. The location of the restaurant was explained (Molly's Bistro) which serves food all day. There is also Malone's Irish Bar round the corner of the hotel. And the fact that breakfast was served on the first floor. Breakfast started at 0700 hrs but I was asked if I needed it earlier. There is a large seating area at reception, with a smart feel. Ihad room 109, this room was smallish and kind of out of the way but clean. The room was tidy, if a little dull. Free Wi-Fi was provided, but the signal in this room was scetchy, as was my phone signal (three). There is a hotel car park, which I did not use. Overall a good enough hotel, I am unsure of the price as my company paid for this.

Went there for Molly's Brasserie to meet family. Ate in reception. Good food, reasonably priced and very friendly, accommodating staff.

Fantastic rooms, fantastic food and great atmosphere. Only thing was the Wi-Fi was terrible and phone service was pretty bad, so that didn't help. But all in all a great stay!

Lovely hotel well situated for the centre of aberdeen. Staff were welcoming and friendly. Room was a good size with a large comfy bed.

Fantastic location and friendly staff. Some of the the decor is a little dated and the mattress was showing its age a little. However it was a very enjoyable stay, spacious room amd good breakfast.

We got a very large room and bathroom for an excellent price. I'd recommend the Douglas (and extended by a night) for the bath and shower fixtures alone. The breakfast was also good.

Rooms are spacious with elegant interiors. Friendly and prompt staff. Wonderful location. Besides the most famous Street, city bus station and railway station as well. All big malls are just a 2 mins walk away.

The location is great near the centre of the town and 5 minutes walk from the main train/bus station and nearby shops. A couple of restaurants located around the hotel. Plenty of rooms to choose from. The breakfast was delicious, presented well and easy to find what you wanted. The staff are friendly and dress professionally. The room was very clean and the bed was also very comfortable.

Was attending an event so can't comment on rooms. Helpful staff, very efficient. Food good with healthy portions. Event still going at 03.00 with no sign of staff wanting us to go. All in all, a very good night.

Like most folks who stay here, I was joining a ship in the harbour. The Douglas has really gotten it's act together since they changed ownership a few years back. They give any hotel in Aberdeenshire a run for it's money now, in terms of comfort and hygiene. It's basic, but with so many disappointing hotels in Aberdeen, they can be relied upon. Food is acceptable. Close to town, shops, and harbour. Free Wi-Fi is decent.

The ball that I attended was excellent; the service was adequate, the food was exquisite (better than food at similar events elsewhere) and the night was truly fantastic!

A fantastic location to explore the local area from, with decent sized and clean room, free Wi-Fi and really helpful and friendly staff. The breakfast was a bit poor, but for the price and location easily make up for it.

This is the best hotel in Aberdeen, great staff, lovely rooms, fantastic restaurant and bar. What more could one ask for? To top it off very reasonable prices. I love it.

A really lovely hotel right in the heart of Aberdeen — very friendly and helpful staff and superb food and wait for it 10 Megabits per second download speed on their internet (6 Megabits per second upload) — WOW — and available throughout the entire hotel — high speed internet speed like this a must these days and sadly so rare in other most other hotel — well done — I'll be back :).

I stayed here with friends recently and I have to say I had a great experience. The hotel is so close to everything in the city — just a few minutes walk from the Music Hall where we went to see a band! Really enjoyed lunch in it's bistro and had a great laugh in the pub downstairs. Would definitely come back here again — it made Aberdeen seem like a fun place to be.

Fantastic Hotel — the room we stayed in had just been refurbished and was beautiful. The breakfast was amazing and the staff were all so helpful (and bright and chatty so early in the day! ) We also ate in Molly's Bistro on the ground floor and the salmon special and fajitas were amazing — great staff, great food, great room, comfy bed — what more could you ask for.

The reception was very friendly and professional. There was no wait. To the loading and unloading, you can keep right in front of the hotel. You can find a paid parking of the hotel just a few metres away. The rooms are very nice and clean. The size is ok for us. We have under get a cot and 3 large suitcases comfortable. The breakfast was commendable. Friendly reception and service, as well a wide selection of hot and cold dishes. The hotel offers a free Wi-Fi access.

We are just back from a long weekend at the Aberdeen Douglas and have to say it was fantastic. We stayed in one of the serviced apartments owned by the hotel and ate in the main hotel. The food was excellent and the staff were very friendly. The highlights of the weekend were the great Paddy's Day Ball and the craic and music in Molly's Irish Bar attached to the hotel. When visiting Aberdeen again I would go no further than this hotel. Great atmosphere.
