We’ve just had a really lovely stay at the house for my wife’s birthday and we both really really enjoyed it! The house has a great feel to it, historic yet modern and very cosy/welcoming. The room was amazing and very relaxing, spotlessly clean and warm and with a humongous HD TV on the wall. And a cracking 4-poster bed. The Canadian girl that works there looked after us so well. She was very friendly, easy to talk to, and helpful. Without being overpowering or in your face, like some hotel staff are these days. The breakfast was absolutely delicious and perfect in every way, with a fantastic selection of hot or cold food. With some nice veggie options too. Watching the squirrels running around the oak trees outside the breakfast room window this morning was an added bonus, I don’t think they were hired by the hotel or anything though. ;) We’ll most definitely be back! 10/10

My wife and I stayed at the Alamo during our recent visit to Scotland. The building was beautiful and wonderfully maintained. The art in the dining room was beautiful, we purchased a great piece from there that we are looking forward to having in our home. The owners and staff were extremely welcoming and helpful. The Alamo is centrally located with numerous fun and interesting things to do and see within walking distance. I only have positive and enjoyable memories from our stay there and highly recommend the Alamo.

A very warm welcome on arrival by the lovely Katie. What an amazing place to stay. The room was comfortable beyond words. The Alomo has it all, and the owners have clearly put a great deal of effort in to add that extra touch of splendour. Beautiful breakfast. Nothing too much trouble. I would definitely book to stay here again.

Loved it from start to finish! Owners incredibly helpful, location perfect to explore Glasgow and for a run around the park before a beautiful breakfast! Cannot fault it will definitely return one day x.

Although a little misleading with a profile picture of the Kelvingrove Museum. That would be quite the stay…! The Alamo B&B is a gem in it's own right. Locationally sound, quiet, historic yet classy & refined. The bathroom for the ensuite 2 is divine. The breakfast nook is unique and the food on point. Katie and staff go above and beyond to make for a welcoming accommodation. Bravo.

Steve and Emma were super friendly! They were very accommodating and made my stay a wonderful experience! I am gluten free but that wasn't a problem, they had a nice selection of breakfast items! I would definitely stay again!

Lovely room on a quiet street across from Kelvingrove Park. Breakfast was plentiful and we were also offered various hot foods made to order.

Fantastic location just behind argyle and suchiehall streets, the building itself is gorgeous. The rooms are spacious and classy, the breakfast complete and plentiful and overall a wonderful stay in a great part of Glasgow.

My friends and I stayed at this lovely place for 4 nights. The selection of food for breakfast was great. Thanks for a fabulous stay and for being so extremely kind.

It is a great place to stay comfortably regardless whether you are alone or as a couple. I have recieved great help from the staffs and from Owners Steve and Emma themselves. It is a very warm welcoming atmosphere all the way throughout although tonight is my last stay. It will be a everlasting and my first best experience in Glasgow. I'll never forget the kindness I've recieved. If I ever get a second chance to choose a place to stay, Alamo Guest House will be my first choice in Glasgow area. I am proud to say that it is a wonderful experience. I'm sorry for all the long-winded enquires that I have throughout my stay. And I'm thankful that the Owners and staffs are extremely patient and knowledgeable.

Katie at the front desk was very helpful. There was a "running event" (marathon) the day of check in and they emailed me as soon as they knew to help prepare us for check in. The breakfast was great (standard full Scottish) with other options should you prefer something else. They had fresh Greek yogurt (plus dried fruits amd seeds to select and add in) that was amazing. They have plenty of DVDs and Blu-rays to watch. I highly recommend watching The Big Lebowski and then have dinmer and drinks (White Russians! ) At Lebowski's which is a 5 minute walk away. I suggest bringing exact change as they do not always have tons of change handy, as this is a small yet personal establishment after all.

My partner book this Guest house a my birthday surprise all I can say it is The best little gem in the West End of Glasgow. We stayed in room 12, on the 20th 21 April what an amazing experience. Room and fantastic bath created a luxurious atmosphere. Breakfast was well thought out and catered for all tastes. Would love to come back and do it all again. Well done Emma, Steve and staff for a great experience, found memories Rosina& Paul Cullinane x.

Friendly and welcoming, nice rooms, excellent breakfast — what more could you possibly want…

I have just come back from staying here for 2 nights, we got a great price for the night and ending up booking the extra night. We had room 12 and WOW! I fell in love, this is my dream room and the bath tub was fantastic! Exactly what we needed. I will definitely recommend this place and will be back in the future for another stay.

I had a very pleasant 4 night stay here at the Alamo Guest House. The proprietors Steve & Emma were very warm and friendly and had an amazing team behind them, who were also very warm and friendly. Steve was a great passionate host who couldn’t do enough for you. It was a beautiful house with elegant, stunning decor and antique furnishings. Lovely paintings adorned the walls throughout the house and beautiful chandeliers (even in my room). Everything was spotlessly clean. I stayed in room 1 which had en-suite. The room was warm and cozy (I stayed here on January), with full heating control, warm comforting 4 poster bed, double wardrobe with hangers and housecoats inside and a long mirror, plenty of drawers, a hair dryer in one of the drawers (an iron and iron board are available — just ask), free high speed Wi-Fi, with views out to tennis courts. Be aware that room 1 is next to the dining room so you will hear all the comings and goings, but in no way did that affect my stay, in fact I quite like that, but it may not for all. A buffet breakfast was served in a beautiful recently refurbished dining room with views out to tennis courts (great to watch at breakfast). Breakfast was lovely with plenty of choice to suite all tastes. Excellent quiet location with bus stops, great bars and restaurants nearby. 15 minute walk into town centre and SSE Hydro. Plenty of on street parking which is free at the weekend.

Excellent 3-night stay at the Alamo. Warm welcome and very very helpful hosts. Prompt communication via email. Comfortable room. Shared facilities were clean and numerous. Ideal west end location, quiet evenings by the gardens, but close to good eating and access to bus routes downtown. Thank you!
