We had a lovely stay here, our room was in the front tower and had a beautiful outlook onto the pier and shoreline. Would recommend this hotel to anyone, I had the best sleep I’ve had in ages here!

Lovely hotel and staff very pleasant very welcoming here visiting family and Cowal games.

We called for a drink yesterday afternoon, on a bus trip, both disabled, we're told be another customer if we went in and ordered staff would bring the drinks out which we did, a very rude woman brought them out and abruptly told us no table service for drinks, so wouldn't recommend at all! manners cost nothing.

Food! Ordered starters and a main course Both arrived together Scampi! Disgusting cheap rubbish food Assistant asked if everything was ok I replied with my opinion! She was going to tell the chef but never returned to us Avoid this place £46.50 for 2 starters 2 mains 2 drinks.

Beautiful room. Nothing but kindness and courtesy from the staff.

The room was terrible, really bad damp on the ceiling in the bathroom and a dirty room. The hotel is tired and needs updating if your going to charge £110 a night. Won’t use again.

Booked Xmas dinner for this year and arrived to gorgeous room tables well decorated. Food service was absolutely shocking kids had no started because there soup never came in delivery and didn’t think to let customers know. Main meal you got a kids portion one slice of turkey 2 Brussels and one roast potatoes and a dollop of mash carrots were hard. For £40 per person for adults I was highly disappointed although the staff did try and help but the Xmas dinner they served yesterday was shocking had to go home and cook a dinner next year will be going some where else.

Friendly polite staff,. Dog friendly, a port in a storm. Out of the pouring rain for lovely lunch.

Hotel staff very welcoming any problem s were delt with immediately.

Lovely atmosphere and very helpful staff.

Wonderful check in experience. Staff very friendly, helpful and patient. Room was nice but quite tired, needs a little work throughout the hotel. Views over the bay were excellent, lovely to wake at dawn and just sit with a cup of tea. Food very good at the Rio restaurant attached to the hotel. Again nice staff. Would definitely recommend, and will be back again.

Fantastic rooms and staff \management everyone very attentive and all give 100% I would recommend the Argyll hotel to everyone meals top class well done everyone.

Can't really give a proper review as even though we had reserved a room a month in advance we were turned away. Apparently there was some issue and we were sent to another local hotel. No reason/explanation or even an apology was given. Staff seemed somewhat dismissive. Honestly one star seems optimistic.

Very lucky to get that 1 star! We suffered a condescending attitude from the barman and we were ignored by 3 members of staff as we attempted to order a lunch. One member of staff apparently no understand English and the other two took no interest in us. My partner complained at the desk and was just given a rather insipid sorry. I would like to add to all the sceptics out there that we are both polite and have manners because we like to treat people as we would like to be treated ourselves. I do not like to be treated indifferently as we were at this establishment. I should also add that my partner is from Glasgow, and was embarressed by this fiasco.
