Me and my gal pals attended the 80s disco night last night. At £25 a ticket we couldn’t go wrong! The staff were absolutely brilliant; welcoming; positive; helpful; friendly. We all had an excellent time.

Very friendly chap on Reception when we checked in around 7pm. Disappointed to hear pool was open until 9pm but couldn't go in past 7.30pm. Room on first appearance looked great, in lamp light. Then… Walls are terribly thin. Woken at 7.30am on sunday, by the sound of neighbours alarm going off across next door. This went off for 25 minutes before going off 😵‍💫 sounded like it was in the room with me! How anyone slept through 25 minutes of that, I'll never know! Next minute, cleaner tries walking in the room before 9am — so pleased other half had put the latch on so she didn't fully walk in. Could have been embarrassing. They also weren't very considerate of how noisy they were either. Shouting down corridor to each other, banging vacuum against walls/skirting boards. No chance of a lazy Sunday morning lie in here 😐 Opened the blind and saw how grim the room looked in daylight. Curtains are dusty and full of cobwebs and there were some very questionable stains around the velvet bed frame 🤢

Food was excellent and fairly priced.

Brilliant stay excellent service would definitely stay again.

Purchased an E-Voucher for a Christmas gift, Bronze overnight stay, purchased it on 14/12 payment came out of my account, on 14/12 I have yet to receive it after numerous emails to them and very few back, still nothing, you can’t speak to them on the phone and are constantly told they will respond in 48 hours but… still under investigation, E-Voucher, they can’t blame the post so it is the high volumes of complaints and Covid, high volume of complaints? Wow!

I must admire your ability to send to a young lady to my table with a £98 bill after serving substandard food not worthy of a wetherspoons. Overcooked burgers, small portions of curry. Clearly trying rinse company expense accounts, if I was paying for it with my own money I'd of sent that awful food back numerous time.

Usually I would recommend but sadly this recent visit no. We knew there would be changes with covid but I feel they have took advantage of the situation by taking all tea and coffee making facilities out of the room, and not replacing with bottled water but instead charging £4.50 for a bottle of water. Then if you want a coffee you need to go to star bucks.

Great hotel rooms fantastic. However the place could do with a make over. Ripped table cloths. But staff can't do enough for you. I would definitely return.

Food in Italian restaurant ok but hotel generally quite poor by comparison to others. Two cracking courses enjoyed by our large group let down by terrible deserts, wrong drinks 3 or 4 times at least. Hotel room quite shabby. Light hanging from wall. Air con broke. Tiles in shower were black. Shower screen faulty. TV random whether it works or not and this was only one room. Hotel offers pool and spa but did not have time to use these. Breakfast was distinctly cheap and poorly presented on hot plate. Cold options available but not sampled. Some very good staff and some which need 'development'. Cinema nearby among other things to not do in hotel. Glad I didn't pay, wouldn't opt to return again soon. Former experience as hospitality manager may make me over critical but if things are broken the room should not be let. Rather there be no experience than a bad one.

The room I had was lovely and spacious. Also had a little coffee/tea machine in the room. Food was very nice from the bar. There was a good choice at breakfast. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful.

The base rooms have no air conditioning and it is quite difficult to find an outlet. The rooms are large, even the baths are set, not showers. I liked it.

Lovely hotel but found lighting a little too dark. Food very good but not enough choices for vegan for main meal. Breakfast was pretty good and service was excellent. Although no vegan sausage the chef kindly offered to get some in for next day. Unfortunately we were leaving. Overall very good and would definately stay again.

Nice laid back atmosphere hotel needs brightening up very dark from top to bottom staff were really nice and helpful. Food was terrible in both Restaurants cheap food expensive prices not a very good combination very poor. Pool and sauna lovely I would recommend a massage. Not sure if the village hotel is a pub, health club or a local sports centre.

Wow! Our stay was incredible! The staff was friendly and always helpful! And they even surprised us with a free room upgrade as we enquired about it for our little man to have his own sleeping area in our room. Would definitely recommend this hotel. Will most likely be looking at stay at village hotels moving forward.

For what you pay this place is not good enough. Toilets block, lights flicker, no hairdryer, shampoo only (pump didn't work) and so many more little details when you look beyond the surface. Such as the toilet roll holder falling off the wall and how the overkill of stripes in the decor makes you feel nauseous. Bar ran out of espresso martinis and would only accept cash. Cashpoint machine not working! If you want to use the pool or spa there is a 1hour window without kids lessons.

Don't ever get room 190 it is directly above the smoking area so you cannot open your windows and right next door to some sort of maintenance room where there is a constant humming possibly from an extractor fan above the front door rooms are quite dark and the lighting isn't sufficient. They do have large TVs in the room where you can access things like the HDMI connections if you wanted to plug your own things into it ironing board and iron and Kettle and drinks facilities inside the rooms as well bathrooms are nice size beds are to join together so uncomfortable if you sleep in the middle. Location is great as it is close to Pizza Hut, cinema, Indian restaurant, ten pin bowling and over the road there is an Asda supermarket, McDonald's, a pub, fish and chip shop 1 extra star for the location.

CLUB rooms are bang on. Full Sky TV. Nice gym, sauna and steam room. Decent menu for food. Good bar selection of drinks and not that bad price wise.

We had a company quiz night there and it was great. The staff were really helpful and the facilities were good and clean. Hotel prices for drinks obviously but the food was well priced. Defo go back again.

Great hotel, modern and clean with extremely spacious and well appointed rooms. Breakfast is the usual hotel fare, but good quality. Parking is somewhat limited though.

An easy hotel to get to from the M4 or the mainline station. Easy check in lovely beds and amazing shower. Good facilities pool sauna jacuzzi spa treatments. Comfortable lounge area would definitely recommend.

Came for a 2 night spa break and will come again. Great location for the MacArthur shopping outlet being 5 mins drive away. The restaurant had a set menu and they havr a few choices but all we tried were very tasty. Had the burger, the salmon and the chicken carbonara — would not hesitate to recommend them. The staff were very attentive and accommodating. Big swimming pool and nice spa treatments again with great attentive staff.

Been here twice now, everything is brilliant — food, service, gymnasium, swimming pool, couldn't have asked for any better.

The location is excellent as it is 10 mins away from the designer outlet, and there is an arcade, cinema and various restaurants opposite the hotel. The hotel itself is very modern and it has a very nice atmosphere.

The hotel itself isn't half bad. In fact it's better than I expected, the room was very nice & clean. What surprised me was the size of the TV, at least 52in screen if you need to watch anything. I personally didn't use the gym or swimming pool on site but it was good to know it's there incase needed. Note: You'll pay a little more to use their facilities. Worth a visit.

Went to the village hotel to use there pool facilities. Absolutely brilliant. Very nice pool, good size for me and my child. Spacious and cleam changing rooms. Looking forward to going again.

I loved the hotel and it was a great stay! You can book normal rooms or luxurious rooms but even the normal room is amazing-i love the set out! The reason I only give it 4 is because the swimming pool on the ground floor makes all of the rooms damp and he vents don't really work but except for that it's the best place ever! Definitely go there, you won't regret it xx.

Poor standards here. They should change their logo to "We're really very sorry" as that's pretty much all you can get out of anyone here when asking why the website constantly crashes, door keys constantly failing. However, there's a great game to play here. It's called 'find a completely cooked piece of bacon' The breakfast isn't cheap so you would expect something better than a roadside snack bar quality. Having stayed here many times over the years, the standards have slipped below Travelodge so no point in paying more for less. stay away from here!

I had a really nice stay here at the village hotel. Check in is easy using their virtual lobby system. The room was well furnished and had no problems with getting everything working. I do wish they would put a plug nearer the bed for charging though.

The staff are very professional and friendly. The rooms are a good size and clean. There was plenty of choice for breakfast and it was well cooked. When we arrived the staff on reception were very helpful with the self check in as we had not been before. As it was our 20th anniversary, we even had an upgrade to our room. If you don't want to eat in the hotel there are more restaurants nearby including Pizza Hut and Taj Mahal, a lovely Indian restaurant. The designer outlet is nearby too. Would definitely stay there again.

I was there for a work do. Overall the village is nice and clean and the decor is modern. The 3 course meal was ok, not the best I have had but not the worst. Over all I had a nice time but I would not choose to book this venue for myself.

Positives. The staff here at The Village Hotel are just so friendly and helpful. I don't think anything would be too much trouble. Plenty to eat in either the Pub or the restaurant in site Starbucks in on site although doesn't take your rewards card Swimming pool look okay too Upgrading to their Club room is a bonus but not sure the extras are worth it. These include coffee machine and Sky movies Negatives There are no bathrobes or biscuits etc things you might expect with a CLUB ROOM. Swindon has plenty to do with bowling and a cinema across the car park and a Pizza Hut, supermarket and trampoline park. Also very close to Swindon Designer Village Great stay and would definitely do again.

Nice hotel. Handy for the outlet centre. The room was exceptionally hot. Turned the heating off and opened the windows, and had the fan on and still woke up sweating. Stayed in early November. Breakfast was good.

Rooms were okay, tidy enough to be comfortable but there was noticeable grime and lack of attention to detail. Bed was comfy and firm, only 2 pillows provided however. Restaurant was very poor, menu choices were extremely limited and food was to a poor standard, I left most of my meal. One of my colleagues fell Ill with food poisoning, I would avoid this restaurant.

Very comfortable room with superb bed and giant TV. Fast Wi-Fi. Lots of free parking. Plenty of off road trails for jogging if you wish. Close to shops, restaurants, cinema and bowling if you need them. Easy to find for visitors. Good centre for tourism.

We went to the bar for the Friday night offer of cheap burgers. The burgers were amazing and incredibly well priced. Drinks were lovely and so were the staff!

BBQ pizza was amazing and we went for the cheap burger deals on a Friday which are great value. Staff very friendly and made sure we were enjoying our meal. Thumbs up all around!

Upon arrival we were very disappointed with the original room due to poor cleanliness, however when we complained and asked to change rooms the staff were very accomodating and upgraded our room. Second room was very spacious and clean, very comfortable bed. Lovely dinner in the Italian restaurant on site.

We stayed for one night and was very disappointed. Our room was extremely hot and stuffy, the Air Conditioning did not work which made for a very uncomfortable night. I was not the only guests who commented over the temperature, not only in their rooms but also in the public areas of the hotel. When I complained to staff they told me they were aware of the situation, but there was nothing they could do about it.

Attended the 80s Disco night which was great fun. Drinks not to bad on price. Food was good. Great value for money.

Hotel rooms and gym facilities were nice. Good location with lots of places to eat in local vicinity but the plumbing in our room let the hotel down. The toilet did not flush properly and it would then fill with soiled water shortly after it was flushed.

Hotel was great, staff are super friendly, the room was massive witha very comfortable bed. The down side was the restaurant, the food was tasty and the staff friendly, it just took too long to get the food. For this I would only give this a 4 out of 5 start reading. Would I stay here again, yes I would and I would even give the restaurant another go to see if it got better.

The hotel is quite nice. We stayed with two adults and a child, and the room was definitely big enough. They made up the sofa bed for us, and while it isn't the most comfortable, it suited our needs. The staff has been wonderful as well, we got in early, and the man at the front desk chased down the staff to let us know when it would be done. The location is a bit away from most stuff we've seen so far, but it is close to food and a few things to do. I have enjoyed my stay here and would definitely stay again.

The Hotel was very nice but it was very clean and the bathroom was very good.

Location great and comfortable rooms but service not great. Told room service that we were didn't require them but within an hour we accidently tipped sauce all over the bed! We saw room service a few doors down and explained what had happened and asked if it would be ok to have new bedding. We were told that she didn't have time to help and reluctantly handed us sheets to do it ourselves! We then had to go back to the room to change our own bed! Unbelievable! Had a bath and glanced over and the toilet seat was up… the absolute filth under the seat was absolutely disgusting. It ruined my bath (which is my favourite part of a hotel stay) as it made me feel sick. Totally unacceptable. Went to go for breakfast in the morning and it was £30 (£10 adult and £5 per child). My children are preschool age but I was told I still would be charged the full amount even though they probably wouldn't finish a piece of toast. Not the best service and would not stay here again.

My boyfriend and I spent Valentine's day here, and the whole experience was just wonderful. With the Pick and Mix package we received; afternoon tea, a treatment each and full use of facilities, which were all equally as good. The staff were lovely, the gym was huge and included everything we could ask for and the spa was beautiful. Overall, a wonderful day to spend Valentine's day!

One of the best hotels I've spent my time with.

Absolutely beautiful hotel with a good range of different things to do. Not only on the other siDe you have cinema and that fantastic ☺

The best thing about this hotel is the leisure complex. Although the pool is quite small there's a large, well-equipped gym and a sauna, steam and jacuzzi. All very good. The rooms are good, but as has been said in other reviews, are let down by either a lack of cleanliness or shoddy fittings. First room I stayed in had no cold water in the bathroom. The second time I stayed there was so much congealed food in the sink wastepipe that the water didn't run away. It's a shame, as other than this the room was really nice. Another area of concern is the food — which seems to have the flavour completely leached out of it. So overall, it does the job, but there's definitely nothing to write home about here.

Nice rooms and facilities but bad breakfasts.

Room was well furnished although their idea of a double bed is two singles pushed together with the duvets zipped together (literally)!? swimming pool closes at 10 on weeknights but at 8 on a weekends showing a lack of management common sense. The hotel has a built in Italian and pub however the food in the pub is overpriced and flavourless better and cheaper hotels are definitely available.

Rooms were poorly maintained and very unclean, lots of mould in the bathroom. Food in the bed cover and carpet and dust everywhere. Flashing lights and no heating in one room. Fittings and fixtures loose or missing. The service was excellent and food was exceptionalexcept for breakfast. This was by far the worst I have had in any hotel and the service for this was very poor and slow. Its a shame as this could be a great hotel as the facilities are fantastic and the staff very good.

Worst food at buca, shame, soggy pizza, rip off portions, kills the hotel experience, its quantity with no quality.
