Nice welcome, clean rooms. The rooms are very spacious even the rooms floor 6 persons. I would recommend this to stay again.

As a group that booked way in advance we asked for a change to our booking as we had originally booked for 10 people but in the end only 7 could make it, this was before the cancellation period ended. The guy on the phone said that was no problem and they would give us a smaller room or if not reduce the cost. On check-in day the guy (sounded like the same one from the telephone call) pretended that no call had been made and they were not going to change our booking (if we knew this then we would have cancelled and gone elsewhere) but he sounded so reassuring on the phone, clearly a liar. Felt disappointed and will not return. The £20pp deposit is also misleading and not made clear before you arrive.

Terms and conditions are clearly NOT stated on any of the booking. Com website I had booked, no mention of a £20.00 pp security deposit
Hotel had robbed us if £20.00 on the morning
I will not allow myself and promise most certainly never to recommend this accomodation to any of my family or friends.

When arriving at the hotel we noticed the room was dirty, there was a bug on the bed and there were crumbs and hair on the floor. We immediately asked for a refund so we could go elsewhere and that is what happened, we were told that we could have a refund as we were unhappy with the cleanliness and we went elsewhere. When I arrived at the other hotel I checked my bank and realised the full £400 of the stay had been taken from my bank after I’d received my refund. I spoke to the hotel who told me to speak to booking. Com and after 5 phone calls to booking. Com over the course of a few days I was told that the hotel were refusing to refund me as they’d taken a £400 cancellation fee as stated in their terms and conditions, however the hotel had not told us this and made us believe we could leave with a refund free of any additional charges. Talking to the hotel is impossible as the staff are rude and put the phone down when I tried to call and resolve the issue. Booking. Com have said there is nothing further they can do as the hotel is refusing to refund now. Honestly disgusting — I’m now £400 down and have been left with not enough money in my bank to pay my mortgage next week. It is fraud what they have done and I would honestly urge you all to think twice about booking this hotel. We ended up going to another hotel called easy hotel which was nearer to the city centre, cheaper and much better.

As soon as we arrived in our room it smelt of mould in the bathroom, beds were dirty, floor was dirty. Offered another room which looked better but then noticed bugs on the bed. We were all refunded, then when we got to our new hotel they took £400 from my nieces bank account after refunding us. Avoid at all costs!

Upon arriving I was a bit concerned of the area, but I had nothing to worry about at all (see below). The hostel will catch your eye, it's bright and welcoming from the outside, it's very modern inside. The staff were really informative and helpful, they do take a deposit but it is refunded when you leave. The room I stayed in had 3 bunk beds with 6 beds and a shower bathroom, there was a common room with a TV and kitchenette. Outside there were 3 takeaways and it was a.

Stayed here on a Saturday night for a friends stag do, upon arrival I was slightly concerned as the area in which the sleepdorm is located looks a bit dodgy, it looks like its located in a council estate. However once we had checked in I was pleasantly surprised by the room, the bunk beds were great, bigger than a single but smaller than a double. Very clean rooms and modern bathroom which are on the smaller side but more than adequate for a weekend away with the lads drinking. Its about 10 mins walk from the city center if you know where you're going. Lol I would definitely use again.

Nice to come back from a night on the booze to find used needles in the bed and then for the man at the desk to accuse someone in our group of using.

Great place to stay while exploring Newcastle. Very clean with amazing Staff. Enjoyed my stay and will be back. Modern simply and fresh. Room was good size. Great shower. Great bed. For the price it was fantatic to be honest.

Awful experience. Turn up and they insist it’s card only, then the member of staff is rude at reception accusing us of trying to freeload. Rooms were shoddy, all round terrible stay would not recommend to anyone.

Great place lovely beds and t. V in rooms, has kitchen with kettle and microwave and a common room with xbox. Bit far from town centre however.

If you are considering staying here please read my review… My girlfriend and I had a shocking stay here and it is very difficult for me to put into words about our experience. Firstly we arrived at around 10pm and found somewhere to park. When we entered the hostel, there was a gentleman behind the desk and he presented with red eyes and quite slow to respond to our questions. Initially, we were unsure if his lack of attentiveness was due to a language barrier. He asked us if we knew how much we were meant to pay as the "computer was not working. " I asked him if it was ok to park behind the back of hostel during our stay, he seemed disinterested and said he did not know. He accompanied us to our bedroom which was freezing both in the bedroom and bathroom. He did not give us a tour of the hostel and we had to specifically ask him to turn the heating on but I will come back to him later. We went to prepare dinner in the "kitchen, " which consisted of a microwave and a kettle despite being advertised as "guests have access to a shared kitchen for self-catering. " The price, location and access to a kitchen were our primary reasons for booking this accommodation. We then tried to prepare our food but were not able to even open our tins of food as the "kitchen" did not even have a tin opener — I do not consider this to be adequate facilities for self-catering.

Rude and unfriendly male receptionist. Felt uncomfortable on arrival. Arrived at midnight and dodgy looking area. Bedroom was freezing "Kitchen" was only a microwave. Generally a very uncomfortable staff. Would not stay again.

Stayed with 3 friends and what an appalling roomit was. Rude staff. Broken beds, no heating and they gave us an electric heater that wasnt safe as the heat came from the bottom with no stand so couldnt have it stood up otherwise it would of burnt he dirty carpet. Shower was broke. Damp on the window. Room too small for 4 people. No towels supplied. Hair in the beds and bathroom tiles. No room service. Wouldnt even date recommend anyone to go there especially after my friend had some sort of bite on her. 100 pond for one night is disgusting. Reported everything to the man at the desk and he did absolutley nothing not even offered any refund… DO NOT GO THERE!

Nice clean and cosy place to stay, I will be staying again. No problems at all. I asked for 2 extra pillows and extra tea and sugar and they were brought to our room in minutes. It was a bit noisy but that is understandable for the type of hotel it is.

I stayed here on Saturday night with my 4 friends celebrating my 21st birthday and we absolutely loved it! Heating/Radiator were on upon arrival until we left (it even got a little bit to warm every so often), perfect location as its only around £3 in a taxi to town/bars/shopping center. Would deffinatly recommend it to anyone especially groups, its cheap, you get your moneys worth and all of the staff are very friendly and lovely to talk too.

Absolutely loved it here and would recommend it to everyone! The hostel was very clean, the shower was powerful and was always hot! The staff were very helpful and friendly! Check in process was made easy. The kitchen was spacious and that's were everyone went to pre drink! Could easily walk to the centre of town in about 20 minutes but a taxi is only £5!

There was a kitchen where we all pre drink in (saves room getting messy) and a games room where you could chill out. A special mention for Amu or Anu (can't remember how to spell his name) but he was the most lovely, helpful receptionist! Deserves a pay rise. Would recommend staying here, £5 in a taxi to town walk in about 20 mins.
