Needs a complete refurbishment to even reach basic standards.

This hotel needs a good clean lick of paint and to be redecorated
The head boards are patching with material peeling, mould around windows and stains on carpet
It’s a shame as the hotel situation is perfect and quiet but close to city centre.

Decent sized room with a clean comfy bed. The hotel is in need of some TLC as a few aesthetic things are in need of repair (for example the toilet seat was cracked and the other furniture was a bit run down) looked like many guests had issues getting a key that worked or hot water. But all said and done it's a cheap hotel which is all you really need — you get what you pay for but not as bad as some reviews.

You get what you pay for! Nice lobby area. The rooms could do with a make over, very tired looking, holes in the sheets and carpets messy (Probably me being picky). Good sized room and hot water. Nice staff and very handy location.

Where to start. Can I firstly say this place looks nothing like it's picture on hotel sites. It is very dated and dirty looking. The car park is overgrown with bushes and weeds. The decor in the lobby is below average and the rooms is just terrible. No ventilation either and the rooms at the back of the hotel in the summer hit 30 degrees. Room cards need 'recharging' daily if you want to get into your room?! Yes it's cheap but it's certainly not cheerful. Depressing place. Avoid if possible.

Hotel seems to be really quite run down and not very clean. We was greeted with a plain piece of paper to sign as the printer was broken, we was then handed the key to the "suite" which was like an old car key with a label stuck to it — no keyring, nothing. Really weird. We stayed in the "suite" which was a good size but absolutely stank of cigarette smoke, it was really bad — the bathroom really needed updating too. Shower was lukewarm and had very little pressure, staff were mainly absent or completely useless. Horrible place.

Must be the worst Hotel iv ever stayed. The Rooms were so Dated! very Dirty! Staff unprofessional They charged us a full week against my Bank card when we only had 1 day outstanding. £315 and 3 weeks on they just pass us around when we phone saying the managers not available. We've sent emails a made in exess of 15 calls. And to think Stoke university Hospital recommended this Hospital to us. Quite obviously not a good idea when we were in a Bad place with our son in critical care.

I can't explain how awful this place is. The events manager is the most unprofessional person I have ever experienced. The food is terrible and most of the staff don't understand English. Don't expect any sort of refund or apology from owner. Total scam merchants that's probably why owner drives a Red Ferrari! AVOID at all costs.

Never actually stayed here but booked the venue for a wedding blessing next year. Paid £500 on 17/09/15 and arranged to meet the events manager on Friday 25th September at 1pm. When I turned up I was advised that they were short staffed and wouldn't be able to see me that day. I wasn't happy about this as I had made a purpose journey. A phone call could have sorted this out. Sent a message stating this and the excuses came and was rather rude. My husband tried to call and talk but was told she was suddenly unavailable, but would call back. He called back and asked to speak to the manager who was also conveniently unavailable. Tried all afternoon with no luck. My husband even called to the hotel to speak to the manager and get a refund. They are avoiding contact and won't pay us the money back that we want so that we can book another hotel that has much better customer service. Avoid booking any type of event as you will never be able to get hold of them unless they are having money from you. They have poor communication skills and are very unhelpful.

Left this dump on thursday the 9th july and still waiting for the 50 pound holding fee which we wasnt told about when booking… 5 days later still not there so after 5 phone calls and no mangerger to speak to still not sorted… they said the 50 pound would be transfered back in once bill settled … there was no bill as everything was paid in cash… Beware Stay away… cold breakfast … staff over run only saw 3 staff in 2 days which they ran everything from breakfast to bar to reception … on arrival the receptionist threw this form at me saying fill that it… attitude dont come close… as my replie was PLEASE…

Even for the cheap price it wasn't what you'd expect. Tv hardly worked, water wasn't hot, no manager to speak to and my biggest issue, the 'family room' was a double bed with a fold up camping bed in the wardrobe. Not even nearly suitable for a child, I was waiting to hear it snap shut while I was sleeping with him still in it. I might go home and sell my 2 bedroom house as a 4 bedroom, there are sleeping bags in the cupboard after all. I complained about the bed, they said they'd change it for a new one in case that helped. They turned up to change it after 8:30pm, the child is 3 so was already asleep. Finally, the tea, coffee and kettle are hidden away in the cupboard which I didn't find until the morning, I wouldn't be surprised if this is intentional to avoid you using it.

Poor even for such a cheap hotel. Room was not very clean with a large wine stain on the carpet, staff were ok, breakfast not great. Better to spend just a little more and stay at a B&B.

Hotel looks good. But thats were it ends. The TV system doesnt work so make sure you take your own TV and ariel. Although the bathroom looks good dont be expecting a hot a shower, cause its luke warm. And that goes for the cold water too. Its luke warm. If your thinking of booking here, dont bother. Get a sleeping bag and sleep in your car. You will be much more comfortable and you will at least have a radio to listen to. When I complained about the room there reply was "there all the same" and just left me in it. I also had to get the key reprogrammed each day too. Hassel you dont really need after going all way to your room to have to go all the way back to reception, just to stand therr for 15 mins cause there isnt a member of staff in sight. This hotel is a JOKE.

Do not book with this hotel, alot of hassle and no manager to talk to. My name is marc morgan I booked a room at this hotel and they cancelled the room 1 day before and would not sort out a alternative, the service I received was very poor and the attitude of the staff was abusive, then they have charged me for the two rooms and 3 days on I still have not had a call back off them and cant not get hold of any one to sort this out, they are not part of great national as they have been suspended from there accounts and are not part of remarda either as they was not happy with there service as they told me to complain to them so I phoned them up and they aint even part of the hotel.
