Nice quirky family run hotel. Rooms comfortable and nicely decorated, all amenities. No bath in my en suite but was made aware of that. Easy walk from the train station. Only real disappointment was at breakfast (granted it was complimentary) however the cooked breakfast was very basic and not the greatest quality. Poached eggs in particular were a huge let down. Would recommend though!

Has allot of emergency housing in there when I was there. Nice enough people but I feel they have lost the guest house feel due to this.

We stayed 3 nights in Sept 16 and felt Blorenge House represented good value for money. Pleasant, helpful staff and comfortable spacious bed.

Staffs nice n helpful, rooms, beds everything ok, except they said they will do the cleaning n refill once a week, we stay there for 2 weeks, they only do the cleaning on the first week, besides they don't have lift, if u r living on 1st or 2nd floor, u have to get ur heavy luggages up n down.

Absolutely revolting! The hotel doesn't mention that it takes homeless people in, the state of the place is vile — There's dogs barking at all hours, I stayed here a few weeks ago. I had booked the week, I stayed one night! It's more of a hostel than a hotel! BUYER BEWARE!

Very close to the center of Taunton. The rooms are nice and good size. Full bathroom with shower. All nicely decorated and very clean. The staff is very friendly and servcial.

Lovely, warm & friendly. Spacious family room, nice pool (although outside & not heated). Great breakfast selection.

Have been staying here for a few years now, a few trips a year. In a room now. Great place. Shhh, don't tell everyone how good it is!

Almost everything was great, the rooms were nice and big, breakfast was included and it has a nice pool. The only problem was that the Wi-Fi was inconsistent and would constantly cut out.

An excellent place to stay. Very clean and comfortable rooms. Friendly staff and a good breakfast to get you on your way.

There is always a warm welcome and rooms are spacious and comfortable with lovely breakfast in morning.
We stay there regularly and it's a short distance from the town centre.

Thank you for a great stay again last night. We stay here twice a year when we get together for a school reunion and always receive a warm welcome. We often stay in a large 4 bed in the top of the hotel, it is always spotless and lovely and cozy. The breakfast is varied and very well cooked and sets you up for the whole day. Look forward to the next time we visit! Can walk into town 5 mins.

This hotel is good-value: clean and hospitable. The downsides are the inflexible and early breakfasts — it is nice to eat later than 9am when on holiday — and that our room has a terrible shower which not only leaked but which didn't drain properly. That aside, I would stay there again.

This hotel gives a very good breakfast indeed and unusually it provides a most convenient hotel taxi service. The staff are friendly and helpful. I had a good experience.

I love staying here. My favourite place to stay in Taunton, they have a really good english breakfast, the rooms are charming, staff our polite, and I would defiantly recommend.

I stayed there for one night for a business event in Taunton. The building is charming, a Victorian house set in a nice street near the town centre, so very convenent. The intereior is clean but a tad shabby and in need of updating and I'm surpised that this along with my experience has earned them a 4 star rating from the AA. There is no bar or restaurant which was disappointing for the price. There is also not reception — you have a ring a bell to get service. There was no welcome either when I arrived, I was simply showed to my room and given the key and left to it. But the saff were helpful when prompted. I stayed in room 3. A nice size space, with huge window and ensuite. The furniture was again a tad shabby — old pine — but it was clean. What really did let it down however was the bedding. Very old and thin sheets, worn and faded with so much washing, plus a duvet that was also v thin and smelt dirty. The pillows also smelt musty and dirty and I had to ask to have them changed with newer ones. I must admit I did not sleep well as I was paranoid I'd get bed bugs as the bed just felt so unclean and in fact I laid spare towels on the bed as at least they were clean and smelt fresh. The room was also poorly soundproofed — a nearby room had the TV on until about 2am so this added to my sleepless night! On a more positive note, the breakfast was good — basic full English fayre.
