Beautiful beer garden, lovely food and friendly and polite staff.

Attended the ilchester arms tonight for a birthday meal with friends and family. Lovely warm welcome from the bar staff amy and Laura. We were seated in the floristry room beautifully layed out tables. Lovely warm atmosphere the service was amazing and the food was stunning. Well done to the chefs and all the staff you done us proud everyone loved there food will definitely be back ❤️

Thank you for a wonderful 4 night stay! Fabulous attic room, great breakfasts, lovely staff we loved it all. A special thank you to housekeeping for retrieving my sons game console and staff who then posted it to us after he left it behind! We are so grateful. — excellent service all round ❤️

My daughter & I just had a fabulous meal in the Ilchester Arms. The restaurant is decorated beautifully & the service was, as always, exemplary. We both had ribeye steak as our main course & it was cooked to perfection.
How lucky are we to have such a top notch restaurant on our doorsteps. Thank you Brendan & Lucy xx.

Great evening on Saturday, good selection of drinks, good service and delicious food. Will definitely visit again.

We have been stopping off here for many years and it never diappointed. Today we were driving past and stopped for lunch. The other half asked for a brie and bacon sandwich which was not on the lunch menu but they made it anyway with lovely bread. I had hake with a cream tarrogan sauce and creamy mash which came with 6 vegetables and was completely delicious. This is worth turning off A303 for a brief detour. Simply makes our day.

Exactly what we needed for a one night stay. Nice clean room with exactly what we needed. Breakfast was plentiful and tasty too. Cody the pup approved of the room too!

A run of the mill hotel/public house. The best part is the food especially steak night.

I booked my mums 70th Birthdsy party here and it was brilliant! The staff are amazing especially Fleur and Niamh who were stand out stars on the night. Good value for money finger buffet and a great function room and private patio made the evening everything we wanted… I eat here regularly too as I’m local and the food is always to s high standard! We were recommended the pub when visiting the Fleet Air Arm Museum. What an amazing place — staff were fantastic — I mean fantastic. The food was equally amazing — fillet steak cooked to perfection and my wife’s chicken dish was to die for. They were immense with outlet two children and had some toilets and games to play. I can not recommend it enough.

My favourite place to stay when visiting the area. The hotel is clean, warm and welcoming. The food is great (catering for food allergies too) and the staff are very friendly. Love this place!

Food is always good here. Service can be a little random at times all mains out then sides arrive in reverse order but it's normally still hot and tasty.

Arrived late (22:15) cold, wet and hungry after watching Glastonbury Carnival, given warm friendly welcome and even fixed up some food for the family even though the kitchen was closed. Room was tidy and clean, beds comfortable. Breakfast was excellent. Will stay again.

Great place! Been here quite a few times now, always have their Cajun Chicken wrap for lunch. Dropped a star because they seem to change management quite often and whilst that's not bad in itself, the most recent cohort are actually pretty bad. My order took an hour because they 'couldn't find me' and then they just Microwaved the Wrap and gave it to me… there was no Salad (that's part of the meal) and when I came to pay she asked if everything was ok, I explained that actually no it wasn't this time and she did nothing about it, not even an apology. I'll be back, because it's a nice place, but I'll not be back because the people are nice anymore.

We stayed in a family room — 2 adults, 3 children. Plenty of room for all of us. Lovely clean room and bathroom. Great breakfast this morning too. Very friendly staff too.

Staff were friendly, nice location and decor. Only had drink so can't comment on food. Beer garden is more of a patio area than garden but very pleasant. Would recommend.

We had booked a small double, but the room we had was far from small. Very comfortable and great facilities. Impressive evening meal. Fillet steak gorgeous and lamb just as good. Would heartily recommend.

Very welcoming team, great food and service. Rooms small but ok, unfortunately my bed was not in the greatest condition, on discussion with the team they have assured me that the rooms are all undergoing a refurbishment. Hope this goes well and the rooms meet the standard of the rest of the hotel.

Great service. Lovely place. Friendly staff. A warm atmosphere full of local people in a great spot. Out room was spacious, clean and all the comforts we required. We walked locally across the fields needed Er far from the A303 but we enjoyed our walk nonetheless and the convenience of the A303 makes the Ilchester Arms an ideal stop for us).

Was recently visiting family in the area and stopped for a drink and food several times. Food and service was always spot on! Cozy atmosphere and friendly staff. Would gladly go back again.

Really nice venue and staff are polite and friendly. Food is OK too. Restricted parking to the rear but more over the road opposite.

The location is good on the main street but the car Park is inadequate at the rear. I did not stay the night so did not see the quality of the rooms. The food in the restaurant is usually very good however the Christmas menu this year was disappointing! The service was good.

I have been here for both lunch and dinner several times. Always a warm welcome from friendly staff and good quality freshly made food (locally sourced where possible, I'm told! ) to suit all appetites. Extremely good value for money and a decent wine list too! Definitely worth travelling the extra few miles to eat — give it a go, you won't be disappointed!

Nice friendly place to stop. Got there by accident, but really glad we did. Rooms are clean, and the food was great. Overall lovely place for an overnighter.

Ordered cod, got scampi. We were the only people in the place but it was a weekday lunch. Good portion size, food is good value for around £8 each. Toilets were clean. Overall decent enough place for a quick stop.
