Fantastic home cooked food, great service and a lovely warm atmosphere, the staff are well mannered, good portions and very reasonably priced, we will definitely be returning, its our new go to pub… oh and the gravy was👌

Stayed here for a weekend away and while visiting family. The landlords could not have been more hospitable and friendly, the pub had a very welcoming and relaxed atmosphere. We stayed in room three which was immaculate and very well furnished. Its a good base to visit the surrounding area and there is bus stop outside which has a by the hour bus ride into bath which is only 15 mins away. Thankyou for the 10/10 stay and making us feel so welcome. We will visit again at somepoint in the future. Jack and Ellie.

Great service, treated everyone as a guest and adapted to meet needs. Took elderly parent and grandchild and they really looked after us. Nice to see birds in the aviary.

Had a very pleasant lunch at the Rose and Crown today. Food was plentiful and of a good standard. Service was good. The staff happily cartoned up left-overs for a lunch tomorrow. Recommended.

Booked last minute for lunch after several years since last visit very impressed with interior, comfortable and a very friendly host, always an asset to any establishment. Menu is good, fab salt & pepper squid & salmon & crayfish starter. Mains all excellent, burgers superb as was the fish & chips, our only comment was the chicken curry a bit bland and undoubtedly made quickly with little time to simmer and get flavours, but all excellent and will return.

Really friendly staff, sensible Covid 19 measures in place which are fully explained and clear, food was delicious. Lovely seating area outside.

Excellent food and hospitality. Have visited numerous times and have not been disappointed. Not the cheapest but trust me that the Sunday roast is one of the best I've had. Highly recommended for a treat. If I were rich then I'd eat here every day.

Excellent lunch time meal, wide range of options from light bites to full plates.

Food was very tasty, service has been great, and it has been a very comfortable and calm place for a light Saturday lunch. Not the greatest selection of lager on tap, but the Bohemia is not bad.

Michael & Vicky were very welcoming. The rooms were spotless, the breakfast was delicious. Michael even went out of his way and gave us a lift to our venue for the evening and picked us up. Overall a five star experience, highly recommend. Debbie & Collette (Greycoat Lumleys)

Lovely little pub/ restaurant. Fair selection of traditional pub food with friendly service and cozy atmosphere.

Decent local, good drinks. Has a car park, outside drinking area. Interior decor is cozy.

Visited for lunch. Service and welcome was brilliant, and the food was first class and generously portioned.

I went with my sister and our kids they had overbooked on the night we had booked. So instead of all five of us in two rooms we were all cramped into one with someone on a camp bed.

Very friendly with helpful & welcoming Staff. We sat outside with our pre meal drinks in the sun at tables & benches provided whilst we chatted & looked at the Evening Menu. We were also offered a Menu on Specials for the Day. The Main Menu had many choices. The weather being usually hot I chose a Beetroot & Advocado Salad. With a side of Garlic Ciabatta. My Salad was good but I'd have preferred less orange oil dressing on the leaves. I chose Warmed Pear Tart with Ice-cream for Dessert. Again this was good. All excellent value money & a lovely venue. With no intrusive music! We all enjoyed our evening.

Absolutely loved staying at the Rose and Crown, the owners Jackie and Raj made me feel comfortable and welcome. The staff were happy, smiley and helpful. And the food was absolutely brilliant! Id recommend their signature crown burger!

You know it's not the best pub when the rest of the village are in the other one and the staff outnumber the guests. Food a bit pricey, a little undercooked and not the best. We won't go back.

Great staff, friendly welcome, easy bus routes great food and service, can't wait to come back again.

Popped in for a quick pint after a dog walk along the river. Really nice garden and old fashioned bar.

Lovely old style pub, with proper pub grub would defo go again.

Quick time between order and meal and waiters are friendly and helpful. Good menu with well cooked food.

I say my wife and I went to this pub I walked in to a bar and got a black eye. It was a metal bar.

Went for a family meal last night. Could not fault it in any way. The staff were so friendly. The chef was lovely… We had a lovely evening and would recommend it to everyone.
