An hotel where the staff always went the extra mile for us and our friends. Nothing was too much trouble it seemed! The restaurant happily catered for our friend who is gluten intolerant and all the food was to a good standard. Well worth a visit if you are ever staying in Norwich!

Pleasant 3 star hotel on the outskirts of Norwich town center. Good quality furnishings through out the hotel and nice decor. Staff were all pleasant and willing to help at any time. Food was cooked well and nicely presented. Typical Georgian house converted to a hotel sympathetically.

This was our second stay here and couldn't fault it. Clean room, comfy bed, hot shower and good brekkie. Staff always happy and polite. Will stay again when next in Norwich.

Nice room, nice hotel, friendly staff. Dinner and breakfast really good. No air con, which is challenging in our present summer, but thankfully my room was at the back and shaded.

Lovely hotel, beautifully presented from the outside. Small reception area, but checked in and checked out easily. All staff very pleasant. Had a good breakfast in the conservatory dining area. Bedroom very comfortable, with teas made that included biscuits. Modern bathroom. No Air con, but found a fan in the wardrobe which did the job on a warm evening.

Excellent hotel, very helpful staff, clean, comfortable. Nicely decorated and lovely garden space. Couldn't fault in any way. Will definitely stay here again.

The Hotel is so easy to locate and is ideally situated for regular visits into the City by foot or bus or car. We were given a lovely welcome on arrival and found the room and facilities really first class. It is a period property which has character but not always every convenience, but the staff were courteous, friendly and above all trying their best to make your stay a really relaxing and pleasant experience. We dined in the restaurant which overlooked a beautifully sheltered water garden where you could if warm enough eat in. The menu selection was really imaginative and the food very well presented and of an excellent quality.

Beautifully redecorated. The side wing looks a bit scary from the outside. The breakfast was very nice.

It's very difficult to find anything to criticise about this hotel. It was small enough to be comfortable but interesting enough to be unusual. The cuisine was excellent and the short wine list was very good. The best part was the staff who were friendly and pleasant and could not have been more attentive. We would not hesitate to stay again.

Polite staff, slightly small room, but well furnished and comfortable. Excellent restaurant, 5 stars even without the room.

The room was quite small and oriented to street with busy road. Hotel is cosy, nice bar downstairs and very clean. Overall I would recommend it.

Very cute and amazing architecture of the hotel! The breakfast is really good! However this is an old building and it keeps creeking and making noise which makes it difficult to sleep!

Staff were polite and professional but at £72 per night (on a week night) the room really wasn't worth the price, it was small, badly furnished and had a very strong paint smell. The place is also very dated, and not in a good way.

A good base when visiting Norwich, free parking & a five minute walk to the centre. A comfortable room, well heated with plenty of hot water — an adequate breakfast — pleasant & effective staff.

Staying here for a work trip, staff very friendly. Hotel rooms decor was shocking, bathroom was very dated. Definitely wouldn't book here again, dated decor made for an uncomfortable stay.

Stayed recently and had a comfortable room with an enormous bed. The staff were really friendly and the breakfast was excellent and good value for money. Only about 15mins walk into the centre of town, too.

One of the best hotels in its class. The restaurant is underrated with only two rosettes and could be a stand alone establishment with its varied and interesting menu. Rooms are well appointed and the staff are always happy to help. We always feel 'at home' when we stay.

A good hotel, well situated for the city centre, comfortable and with good helpful staff but let down by the decor and features of the en-suite bathroom.

A group of us visited on the 29th of July and we were very impressed. Rooms were modern, clean and tidy, staff helpful and breakfast great. I am already planning my next visit to Annesley House Hotel. Big thanks to Barry for arranging my booking too!

All round good and comfortable. The staff are exceptional, were courteous, helpful and knowledgeable.

We recently stayed here for four nights and were impressed with the friendly, helpful and caring staff and the standard of food both at breakfast and dinner. The hotel has a comfortable bar and lounge and is within walking distance of the city. Were we to return to the area there is no doubt that we would also return to Annesley House.

Convenient position situated near to City centre for shopping and visit to Theatre. Comfortable and spacious room. Pleasant restaurant situated in a Conservatory.

Situated a 10 minute walk away from Norwich City Centre, it is very conveniently located. I've stayed here a few times and on this occasion was staying in a room within the coach house annex. This room was a bit small and little dingy due to its position but it was clean and comfortable. All of the necessary extras were there including tea station, Wi-Fi, TV, ironing board and trouser press. Breakfast in the morning was good and overall service from the staff was also good.

Comfortable rooms. Friendly staff. Can't comment on food prices as didn't eat but everything very reasonable for centre of Norwich.

This hotel has been wonderful to me and my family. I have had to travel to norfolk several times and each time we have recieved a warm welcome. The rooms are always nice and clean.

Great location, very quiet and just a short walk to the city centre. Great food and service. The bar and lounge area are quite comfortable. However the water pressure in the showers is really low, and it's very frustrating when all you want is a good fast hot shower. The décor in the rooms and bathrooms could do with some refreshing.

The hotel was extremely comfortable with very friendly staff. The room was large and very clean with a super comfy bed. Breakfast was also good and certainly set us up for the day.

Average room, with old school iron/trouser press in a wooden box, quite like that. Shower in the main room let's it down a little. Beds comfy & staff really friendly & helpful. Good for business or the couples.

When phoning to see if they had rooms free for the night — the person working on the desk (Male @6pm 8th September 2009) just hung up. I planned to stay in Norwich for 12 weeks — So will never spend my money at this place ever.
