Well what can I say… I’ve wanted to go to the Titantic Hotel for a long time and last night I finally got the opportunity to visit. I was a little worried that I had built it up too much and that when I got there it wouldn’t live up to my expectations… but I couldn’t have been more wrong. We drove into the cobbled car park and I immediately became very excited at seeing the sign. We collected our bags (I think I packed for 3 weeks) and took them into the reception where we were greeted with lovely hospitality and smiles. It was a quick check in and up to the room we went. The corridors to the room were incredible… I mean who says corridors are incredible… but they were! The ambiance started straight away. Dark with lovely lighting. We were right at the end of the corridor, and I was very excited. In we went… and the room was beautiful. It wasn’t even the most expensive room they have, but it was stunning. And we could here the titanic song in the background. I felt like a kid at Christmas. Stunning! Quick shower, change and then to explore. We found the spa then the bar. We walked outside along the docks and then sat for a cocktail. Delicious! Beautiful atmosphere. We were told to book dinner and as we arrived later than expected they only had 8:45 left — when we were downstairs we noticed that it wasn’t as busy so we checked and they managed to get two grumbly tummies in earlier — very accommodating. So off we popped for tea. Now, one of us is gluten free and one is vegan — as you can imagine this makes for, sometimes, a displeasurable experience if neither of us can be catered for — but we needn’t have worried. Both of us had lots to choose from, I was spoilt for choice. This made a HUGE difference to our stay to wouldn’t believe. Breakfast was the same! Incredible food. I was brought toasted gluten free bread and sausages. Vegans were catered for too, and my vegan is fussy — but he was delighted! It was well earned after a very comfortable night sleep in a dreamy, soft bed! Free breakfast we went to the spa — I must admit paying an extra £20 each to use the pool and spa feels a little expensive — it’s beautiful don’t get me wrong and I’m very pleased we did it, just seems a little much when there’s no treatments or anything. Having said this, the whole atmosphere was very luxurious, very clean changing rooms and showers and the pool looks just like the pictures. Check-out came too quickly.
After all these ramblings of mine, id just like to say a huge thank you to this hotel. It lived up to, and indeed surpassed everything I had hoped it would be. It’s a beautiful place, with very smiley and helpful staff. And silly as it sounds, for us BOTH to have been accommodated for with gf and vegan food (a healthy vegan at that) really made the experience. And that’s what you get when you stay at this hotel, an experience. So thank you. I hope to visit again very soon.
