Great hotel. Its right next to the airport. You can hear the planes taking off, but from my room it was very muffled and I had no troubles going to sleep. They gave complimentary herbal sprays to spray on your pillow to help increase the rate you fall asleep. They also have a scale to weight your bags. It costs about 2 pounds, but it will weight for around a minute, so if you have several bags get them on and off quick. Breakfast is very overpriced though, so just grab something at the airport.

Great place to stay en route to exotic climes via Manchester airport. A very efficient, if ultra busy, Reception desk processes guests in a timely courteous manner. Helpfulness appears to be the hotel's mantra. Very good atmosphere in the excellent bar. The food is very tasty and plentiful in both restaurants and the bar. Crowne Plaza also operates a Club Service for guests wanting a little more privacy. On-site and off-site parking is also available. Conference facilities seem to be much in demand. If you're travelling to and from Manchester Airport the Crowne Plaza is a great place use as a "staging post! "

Best part is the airport and train station hotel shuttle/coach. In fact the hotel is in walkable distance from T1 and train station, but with luggage as confusing roundabouts you should call the shuttle. It's easy, you need to dial a 4 digit number from the airport phone. Rooms are small. Bathroom orientation is not proper. Have to lean over the toilet seat to reach out to the magnifying mirror for shaving as the mirror and wash basin are on either side of toilet seat. Beds were not made properly. Staff were polite, but the reception is always busy. I tried ordering room service, tried calling the room service number and reception for almost an hour. Had to give up and walk down to restaurant to eat. Wanted to talk to reception about this, but there was queue for checkin/out.

Good hotel Close to airport. Reasonable prices. Good food. Loads of parking. Corridors dated. Decent sized rooms.

We opted to stay after a very late flight. I was amazed that the room was so quiet. We got a very good night's sleep and didn't have to check out until noon. The staff were great, the room was large and comfortable. Great value for a one night stay including one week parking.

Car parking improved from last time we stayed. Comfortable room good good and drinks used restaurant before driving home also. The only slight issue was on our return was the driver stopped outside in rain instead of under canopy so we got a soaking retrieving our bags… slightly baffling.

This hotel is convenient for Manchester Airport. They say you can walk to the terminals but due to all the complicated junctions and roadworks then save the trouble and take their shuttle bus. Parking is easy. Rooms are conformable and we'll sound insulated. Sampans Oriental Restaurant is excellent and a credit to the hotel.

Stayed here many times over the years. Never disappoints. Ideal location for overnight stay at the airport, plenty of Parking space. Staff are friendly, welcoming, helpful and professional. Excellent facilities, plenty of dining options and 2 bars. The Irish pub does great bar meals and the grill serves good quality, well prepared dinner. Sampans serves authentic great quality Asian cuisine, I usually can't resist eating there, my favourite. Rooms are comfortable, clean and well appointed. Tea and coffee making facility, decent TV, well stocked bathroom, which was clean and in good working order. All the things you'd expect from a Crowne Plaza. Free shuttle bus to terminals and close enough to walk if you prefer.

Ideal transfer hotel at the airport. Unfortunately the room is very cold.

I honestly do not have a bad word to say at all. We received a lovely welcome from reception from Paulina. The room was great, we have stayed at the hilton before and this beats it hands down. Even the little amenities in the room are amazing. The bar staff were superb the manager Andrew was on with a young lad and even their relationship was great. The wait on staff in the grill restaurant again super friendly and very helpful. I would definatley recommend this hotel. The staff honestly make the place.

Lovely hotel stay prior to flying, room well furnished, nice standard of decor, good tea/coffee facilities including cookies and chocolates, I asked for a room with a view of airport and this was not a problem for them. Very polite and helpful check-in staff, my only gripe is that they don't provide the original remote for the TV so you cannot access the AV channels if you want to watch your own movies by USB, you can only purchase movies from them. Other than that I would highly recommend this hotel.

My wife and I stayed at this hotel on the 22.3.18 we cant thank the staff enough. The receptionist was very helpful (Ellie) the men who picked us up at the airport and took us back where so helpful (Jacob & Ben). We will definitely recommend this Hotel and come back again. David & Marie.

This is my first stay in the Crown Plaza Manchester Airport. Normally I have stayed next door in the Clayton. I have been welcomed and served to an excellent standard. The staff on reception were polite and the bar staff are equally good at offering great customer service. The rooms are standard but spacious and offer what you need. I would happily stay again.

Not up to the usual CP standard. Usual good facilities and bed marred by vacuuming outside door at 6:30 am — the room had very thin walls. Thought `might as well get up then and have a nice hot shower`. Not happy when this was luke warm at best. Hot water from other taps was extremely hot.

Great location, the oriental restaurant is fab, good service and amazing food. Free shuttle from airport and railway station. Self service breakfast. Pay Parking facilities. Complimentary water and tea coffee facilities in room. Room is spacious and provide complimentary good sleep oil and spray. A bit noisy due to being so close to the airport. Overall good experience.

Love this place. We stay here once every year before we fly back into the states. The staff has always been wonderful and very accommidating.

Simply put a great stay at a Airport hotel. Service was great. I didn't have any food so I couldn't comment on that.

Stayed one night before flying on holiday. Swift check in and great staff. The room was large and had all that you need, only downside was our room was the furthest from the lift (not great with a child and suitcases). We had dinner at the grill and the staff here were some of the friendliest and helpful that I've seen, they could not do enough for us. The food was really nice and the fact it was included in the room price was a bouns. Would stay here again.

Comfy bed. Spacious room. Bathroom has a bath and a good shower. Wardrobe has ironing board and iron. Staff are friendly and helpful. Sampans restaurant in the foyer offers a nice mix of Chinese and Thai food and is very tasty.

We had dinner at the Sampans Oriental restaurant. The food was some of the best Asian food I'd had (outside of Asia) in quite some time. Very impressive, especially for an airport hotel!

Hired a meeting room. Excellent service, food and facilities. Most helpful, friendliest guy meets you at business lounge. Recommended.

Nice to be back here again. I think it's the nicest airport close to Manchester Airport. It's always very clean. The rooms are a nice size and whilst the bathrooms are well stocked with lotions and potions I do find the Bathrooms and little small. The Thai restaurant on the ground floor is excellent although quite expensive. If I was being supercritical I would asked that they put all of the Freeview channels in the room because they are free.

Excellent service, clean and comfortable rooms. Location is extremely convenient to the airport and has a shuttle service to all terminals. Food in the onsite restaurants were surprisingly good (especially Sampans).

Wonderful hotel. Staff were great upon arrival. Room was a comfortable and clean. The in-house grill restaurant did some great fillet steaks for us. Great over-nighter experience before getting up at 3:30am for an early flight.

It's an old hotel. It has certainly been luxurious before but unfortunately this is no longer the case. Very "year 80". But we sleep well so for a night do not hesitate, it is 10 minutes walk from the terminals of the airport.

This review is for the bar alone as I have not sampled the hotel rooms nor facilities therein. A separate bar-cum-nightclub, Callaghans Irish Bar exists too. This opens at 1630 daily. It offers Jennings Cumberland Ale on cask as does the main bar. This is quite adventurous for a major hotel group to offer cask, so congratulations to them. The main bar is adjacent to the reception and doubles as the breakfast and dining area. Convivial, comfortable but nothing beyond the ordinary.

Great place to stay, clean and comfortable rooms, food amazing for what you pay. Staff extremely helpful and friendly. Stayed here many times would strongly recommend.

Seriously this place is like stepping into a time machine and travelling back to the 1990's. It's nearly as bad a Brittania but not quite. Only stay here if you have something positive to look forward to after… like a holiday or overseas trip otherwise a visit might tip you over the edge. Do make an effort to marvel at the exquisite craftsmanship in the 'Irish' pub. An electricians attempt to recreate the Sistine Chapel ceiling via plug afterthought awaits!

Attended a health and safety training course. The service and facilities were excellent. I would recommend this venue.

Stayed at this hotel for 3 nights. If we had not prepaid we would have left! Small DIRTY rooms. Had to change rooms due to malfunction of safe and lack of clean bathroom. Second room was as dirty as the first. Bathroom had hair all over the floor and slime in the tub. Counter tops in the room and bathroom had not been wiped. When we returned to the room on both second and third nights it looked as though the room had not been cleaned. The bed covers were thrown onto the bed and dirty cups and glasses were still on the desk. Asked for a wake up call to catch a flight — DID NOT RECEIVE IT! Pretty serious for an airport hotel. Wrote to General Manager and Operations Manager — no response! They don't care! Busy because they are at the airport BUT there are other hotels at the airport which are cheaper and MUCH nicer/cleaner — Hilton or Blu! Now I know why they were booked up and this one wasn't! NEVER AGAIN!

Efficient check in and check out. The room was clean and spacious. And the room service came quickly and warm. I have no complaints.

Lovely rooms, parking is good, very reasonable room rate, only real reason to mark it down is food and drink prices are a little high (captive audience). Best way to travel if you're using Manchester airport in my opinion.

Good location at the airport in the middle of 3 terminals. 5 minutes walk to t1 n t3 n 10mins to t2. Got nice parking space too. Very nice and modern style rooms. Park n fly facility. Transfers to airport both ways.

Seriously the worst customer service ever! Their lines were down all day system was down after hours when I finally got through they didn't take me seriously kept passing me around and then would cut off the line all over a simple reservation date change! They don't care about their customers at all!

Had a lovely overnight stay before an international flight out of Manchester. Arrived by train and the hotel shuttle was quick to arrive, as well as convenient to get to the terminal in the morning. Nice hotel, comfortable room, restaurants on-site.

Room was clean, presentable, well located. Service was excellent and it was no trouble for the maid to return to the room to put on missing pillow covers, this was done swiftly and the maid was apologetic. Breakfast was wide ranging and covered all bases. The airport shuttle run was efficient, well managed and easy to use. Car parking service I also would recommend. We have visited before and will return.

Hotel inside was really nice. The room compact, clean and visually pleasing. I left my laptop in the hotel, and only realised once at the airport. Was able to return to the hotel using the free airport transfer minibus. They dealt with the matter in an efficient manner. Many thanks.

Perfectly fine for an overnight stay before a flight. Very close to the airport with a free shuttle service operated by the hotel. The decor seemed a bit old and could do updating — the hallway on our floor smelt like it perhaps used to be a smoking hotel but it didn't really bother us. The beds were comfortable and the Malaysian restaurant at the hotel was really, really good. Highly recommended.

Staff were very polite and professional throughout the hotel. The hotel and rooms are to a good level of cleanliness and have good amenities. The only negative point of the hotel is the Grill restaurant which we ate in one night. The staff are very slow in serving, the restaurant was empty and they still struggles to serve us in a timely manner. The other let down is the price of the food. It's very overpriced for box standard food. Personally I would recommend people to go and eat outside of the hotel. All in all though the hotel is good.

Location was easy to find from the airport. Staff were very friendly and gave us a complementary pass to the executive lounge as they could see we were tired and needed drinks after a long trip. Room was very good with a comfy sofa bed and great bathroom facilities. Overall a great stay.

The hotel is quite difficult to find by foot and also you can tell it's a bit old despite their effort to make it look nicer.

As always staff were friendly and attentive … greeted straight away with a lovely warm welcome. Room was clean and amenities were nice. Being and IHG member would have liked the staff to upgrade my room as a reward as I stay there frequently. Food is great and at a nice price. Would like to see more channels on the TV but having free Wi-Fi is always a bonus.

Asian Restaurant is lovely went both nights of my stay. Staff very friendly. Would definitely stay here on business or leisure again.

Stayed for a night on check in the jacuzzi room allocate had not been serving ed so had to go ba k and be realized ete another one. Ot a good start to my visit.

Good quality airport hotel. Nice pub and bar. Fantastic Asian fusion restaurant. Rooms are decent quality but not great lighting if you're looking to work from your room in the evening.

Great venue bear the airport with a good selection of food and very friendly but professional staff. The food was slightly pricey, coming in at £44 for 2 main courses and 2 drinks but its not overly unfair and the food was very tasty.

Rooms are mediocre. The shuttle from the train station has taken >20 minutes my last two trips here, even though I can walk there in ten minutes. The toilet in nearly every room I've stayed in doesn't fully work. The real tipping point for this 1 star is I am so tired of being extorted to buy "Premium" internet because the "Complimentary Wi-Fi" (even though I pay $$$ to stay here) cannot stream a YouTube video or hold a web conference call. Very frustrating when trying to do business here. The free Wi-Fi is slower than your wireless connection when you're out and about.

Great service and food, rooms are nice but shower/air con could do with an update. Wi-Fi is a bit slow but overall a pleasant stay.

The hotel is in a great position with a free shuttle bus to all terminals. We had an executive room and whilst the room was good with all the usual amenities, the executive lounge was a bit under stocked. We didn't sample the breakfast as we had other plans but the lunch in the bar was very good for a quick bite to eat and drink. We will be staying here again.

We had a faultless stay here. Everything was prefect. All the staff were friendly and smiling and we're eager to please. Definitely coming back here.

I really like the restaurant here and the staff always remember me. The rooms are very mediocre though so I have to give this only three stars. One time the bathroom had a dirty pair of women's underwear still in it! The last time I was there the hotel room toilet didn't flush. If I hadn't made friends with the restaurant staff I wouldn't stay again.

This hotel is not even worth a star! They treated their customers like refugees. They asked us to pay before they served a glass of water. That is so much different than in U. S. The rest, I don't want to waste my time to say it.

This property can learn a lot from the Crown Plaza at London Heathrow! During check in I asked the front desk clerk if I had excess to the club lounge and he informed me I did not as my rate wasn't booked with the club access. I totally understood as I know it’s up to each property if they want to give you club access. This is a plus one for the Heathrow property as I have gotten it every time. The next day when I was checking out I saw I was charged for internet and asked them why I was charged as this was a guaranteed amenity for platinum guest. The front desk staff proceed to tell me I had to select the free internet service and not the high speed. So let me get this straight a regular guest gets that SLOW internet for free and a Platinum guest gets the same internet for free not the high speed. While he is telling me this its pure attitude the entire time. He did eventually remove the internet charge after words so that was a plus. But non of this should of happened at ALL. Recognize the difference between a standard guest and someone that's part of IHG! Oh I forgot my amazing gift of 600 points for being platinum WOW (sarcasm). What a joke of Crown Plaza. Worst one I have ever stayed in and I have stayed in few throughout UK. They should ask the GM of Heathrow to come over and teach them what customer service is. Would I recommend this place, it’s a big fat NO.

Despide of asking for transport from the manchester airport to the hotel my friend, who doesnt speak any English was left at the airport, at night time. All arrivals that day were at T3, as usually.

I've stayed in the Crowne Plaza a number of times and have always been impressed with my stay. Whilst the location is nothing to write home about (is any airport hotel? ) the staff have always been friendly and attentive. Whilst I've had a few minor issues, any problems I have had have been dealt with quickly, friendly and efficiently. There's 3 different restaurants within the hotel and I've generally found the standard of food to be a cut above average hotel fare, albeit like most hotels it's not particularly cheap. There are decent facilities including a well kitted out gym. Most importantly the rooms are spacious and clean, the bathrooms are generally nice and large and the beds are comfortable. Sky Sports 1&2 on the in room TV's is also a definite bonus for sports lovers. If you need somewhere close to the airport to stay overnight you could do far worse. Recommended.

Been here for several days finishing up some business loose ends before returning to Chicago. I have enjoyed the hotel. Nice room. Great desk for getting some work done. Close to terminal with shuttle every few minutes. Not 5 stars, but definitely 4.

I had a 4 night stay here as my company was using one of the meeting rooms for delivering some training. The staff were very helpful and conference/business facilities were to a good standard. The food was also good, with a decent choice including a gastro-pub style menu and a separate Asian restaurant, which was pricey but served me the best Singapore noodles I've ever had. The accommodation was less impressive, with rather tired decor, fixtures and fittings. Having also stayed at the Heathrow Crowne Plaza this one was a little disappointing in this regard, and I'd say it's overdue for a refresh. The air conditioning system in my room wasn't able to warm the room up sufficiently, so I had to ask for a heater, and my bathroom really wasn't up to the standard I'd expect with this chain. These niggles aside, the room was comfortable and would be fine for people overnighting either side of a flight, which I guess is where the hotel gets most of its business.
