Fully recommend this great hotel, Richard & his lovely wife made our family feel very welcome. The room was beautiful has great character & well thoughtout regarding amenities also the breakfast was outstanding
worth every penny and we will be staying again 10/10

Stayed overnite when we had a party to attend. Lovely quirky place the lady that owns it very pleasant and helpful. Will definitely stay again loved it.

Very nice old building, some noise from boy races at the front. Building shakes when lorry or bus goes past. Service and rooms very good.

Advertised as parking when there actually isn't any for anything bigger than a Mini. Owners didn't greet me when checking in and took 20min for them to answer the phone. Hotel is ideally situated and room was satisfactory.

The cottage we hired was clean cosy and comfortable. The owner was very helpfull and charming. Would go there again, as its a good base to explore the area.

A stylish hotel, over 300 years old building, unfortunately, no lift, limited parking. There is a bar, but it was closed when I was there. The bed was comfortable, warm room, but a little problem with toilet, fair price. The owners are very nice and friendly.

Lovely couple running the hotel Food was great Any problem where dealt with quickly and very satisfactory (my TV was acting odd, new one replaced it within minutes) Would definitely recommended to others.

They say that after you go away that their is nothing like getting into your own bed, that is if you have not had the best sleep of your life in the mansion House hotel's amazing beds.

Lovely. Unique rooms in a beautiful, historic mansion. Cosy. One of the best nights sleep we have had in a hotel, super comfortable bed and quiet surroundings. Delicious, full breakfast. Wonderful hosts … what more can you want? Try it if you are in the area. Recommended.

Big, two floor cottage. Neighborhood feels dodgy. Next door is a permanent resident, who is a real jerk. Bathroom is a disaster. Literally the worst shower I've ever used. Only redeeming quality is the price.

Lovely staff and really helpfully would fully recommend with great bar.

Lovely clean old style rooms, lovely beds, friendly staff, only problem is you have to be verticality challenged to have a shower. Apart from that … all good.

The food and service in The Mansion House Hotel is second to none. The staff were polite and friendly, the bar in the basement was lovely. If I lived nearby. It would be my local! Hoping to book for Christmas Meal. Absolutely lovely place. No complaints.

Very nice property. CLose to local ammenities, and kebab shops for the late night drinkers. Ideal location for honeymoon, weekend away or just a passing pint. When we stayed there we saw a fantastic band there called Evolution. beer on the pricey side for locals but to be expected in hotels.

Having just returned from a weekend stay at the Hotel my wife and I were dissapointed to find that the hotel just did not live up to its description as far as accomodation is concerned the description says that the hotel offers a high standard of accomodation — the double room was small with tired furniture the "ensuite facilities" consisted of a toilet with one of the smallest hand basins I have ever seen and a seperate shower which opened out into the bedroom each had obviously been fitted into the alcoves either side of the fireplace for the price of the room I would have expected a bathroom, the accomodation as basic to say the least, We did not sample the cuisine other than the included breakfast which was good but the dining room menu seemed over priced, driving a large car and arriving relatively early was a mistake, the car park is a nightmare the following morning it was necessary to reverse 15 metres along the side of the hotel between a wall and other parked cars with very little room to spare and wing mirrors folded in, (if you do go to the hotel unload and park in a car park it is easier. ) Sorry to say it but this is a standard B &B which has aspirations of being a hotel, the owners have worked hard at it but this is definately 2 star not 3 and over priced for accomodation in the area.
