We recently attended the ladies day afternoon tea so decided to stay over as well. We had a wonderful time, everything was so well thought out. The staff were brilliant and attentive. The food throughout our stay was excellent. We enjoyed ourselves that much that we booked for next year before we left.

Our daughter Eleanor and son in law Aaron Sparrow we’re married on the 11/02/23 from start to finish the staff were absolutely brilliant, professional and friendly The venue was set out beautifully and just as they wanted Special mention to Hannah and Alex for all the arrangements the whole day went smoothly Jamie on reception was a starRestaurant staff were fantastic Couldn’t have wished for a better day.

I visited for the Murder Mystery evening yesterday and the meal was brilliant but the acting out of the murder was pathetic. We got a sheet of paper listing the suspects and a description of them and then we got a 30 second acting out of a row with two of the actors. We then had our main course the actors then did another 30 seconds of a row. We were then directed outside to a table with clues. The actors then came to each table to be questioned but we didn't know what to ask at the interrogation as nothing much had happened throughout the night. There were ten suspects in total and we had hardly seen any of them, so how were we supposed to interrogate them? I would also like to add that it was rather difficult to hear what was being said because the event was held in a rather large room, even the person I visited with struggled hearing and she is 21 years old. The interrogation stage was after our three courses and this is not how a Murder Mystery usually works. From my experience of these events, things should happen throughout the night which informs your decision at the end of the night. It got to 9.30pm and we left because nothing was happening and we became very bored. If we did stay and select a suspect it would have been a pure guess as there was little evidence and clues. But we would happily visit again for a meal — just not a murder mystery.

Our daughter and her husband had their wedding reception here on Friday. To say it went perfectly is an understatement! There are not enough words to describe how fantastic it was. Nina was just incredible to have as a wedding planner and from start to finish nothing was too much trouble. We had everything we wanted and more beside. Lauren and Tony were on hand afternoon and evening to help with anything we needed. The food was served quickly and seamlessly with nobody waiting whilst others ate. There were many comments about how impressed guests were by the standard of food and service. In the evening Guy, the resident DJ was lovely, very accommodating and created a fantastic family party atmosphere. The setting is just glorious and with the lovely weather we were blessed it was stunningly beautiful. Very happy with how all our wedding stuff was tidied away by staff and stored away ready for us to collect the following morning and even then we were not rushed out. We all enjoyed a family breakfast together after a very comfortable night and waved the bride and groom off on their honeymoon in a relaxed manner even though the staff were now extremely busy preparing for another bigger wedding that day. We true grateful to them all for making the wedding day as amazing as it possibly could be. Thank you so much to everyone involved.

Well we’re do I start, we had our Wedding Day there on Saturday, it was absolute perfection from start to finish, our Amazing wedding planner & Team was sensational, All the staff are so friendly and helpful, we could not recommend it highly enough. Me and my partner had booked a Valentines package which included spa treatment, leisure access, a meal at Vardons restaurant and an overnight stay with breakfast. Our experience was excellent from start to finish. All of the staff are so friendly and cannot do enough for you. We cannot recommend Shaw Hill enough and we are even willing to travel down again just for a meal because we were so impressed with the restaurant. Some of the best service and food we have experienced (and the best scallops and chocolate fondant pudding I have ever eaten! ) thank you to everyone at Shaw Hill. You made us feel really welcome and we loved our stay with you in the beautiful Wentworth room ❤️

We had our wedding here and from start to finish there is nothing bad I can say. Nina was brilliant, they accommodated 2 date changes with no issues and made our special day one to never forget.
The food was fantastic, all the staff were friendly (especially the night guy putting up with 10 drunks haha)
I would recommend Shaw Hill to anyone planning a wedding, good links to all motorways and excellent scenery for pictures.
We will definitely go back as golfers, spa users and for a meal and overnight stay Paul & Carole.

We had the most perfect day for our wedding at Shaw Hill on Sunday! All the staff went above and beyond to make sure the day ran smoothly, and nothing was too much trouble. We received such a brilliant service, even from our initial consultations with Nina (who was amazing! ) and with Lauren coordinating on the day, to the amazing waiting and bar staff throughout the evening. The quality of the food was absolutely amazing and cooked to perfection! We can't thank you all enough for helping to create the most special day ❤️

Sorry to say we wouldn’t recommend your afternoon tea. While staff where very polite unfortunately we feel there wasn’t enough staff to give good service. Ordered tea coffee didn’t arrive couldn’t find anyone to ask then someone asked if we would like some more but not had any. Ordered water didn’t arrive. Didn’t ask preference on sandwiches mum only likes ham or egg wasn’t given.
A choice even white or brown bread. Did ask for just a ham say but did take quite a while to arrive we where on cack by then. Would like to think this is all due to Covid and skeletal staff noticed they where serving out doors too. On a plus side the soup cheese scone and sausage roll started as a good course. Might be time to up date the afternoon tea. Sorry staff very apologetic but we all felt it wasn’t worth the money shame as it was a present for mum,

The Spa is a lovely place to visit. Good choice of treatments and comfortable environment. Staff are very pleasant.
