Red Well Inn Hotel

Won't be revisiting. Was fine up until the fella thought he would criticise us leaving the dogs alone for a few hours while we popped to get some food and something to eat. Very rude behaviour. To think we have paid so much to be talked to like that is disgusting.

They need to screen the garage come work shop off from the apartments its something you dont need to see when sat just out side, also needs fishing lakes updating not much depth in a lot of places fishing not so good. The apartment was very good had every thing you needed and very clean. The three stars are mostly for the mess you see from the garage/workshop next door, ken was very helpful the gentle man that runs the fisheries.

⭐⭐⭐Just came home from a wonderful and very relaxing break away with friends. The lodge was amazing an very homely with everything you need from coffee, plates, towels, iron, pots and pans. The Hot tub was soo nice, the view was perfect. The lodge its self was very clean and the people who are on site are very helpful. Thankyou again for a lovely stay and we hope to come again soon! ⭐⭐⭐ (plus the pub is only a 5 min walk away which is perfect! )

Just a two night break and very easy to find this place just off the M6 Jnct 35. Good clean and comfortable accommodation (we stayed in the Mallard Lodge). Spoke with 3 of the team members and all seemed okay and helped us with information where appropriate or enquired for. Cold wind and the fishing was tough to be fair. Grounds are good even though there is a lot that is probably being continually improved. Great meal at the Redwell Inn just walking distance away so cannot fault the location for what we wanted during our short stay.

Lovely couple. Very welcoming. Very helpful. Fantastic location. I liked that they were very tentatavive, prior to my arrival Ken contacted me to see if I needed any information. They ensured we understood the safety procedures for the hot tub. The hot tub was checked daily and chemicals added where needed. And… my little parsons terrier was most welcome. That chilled and lovley Im booking again for September andvtaking my folks.

Worst holiday I’ve ever been on.

Do not waste your time or money. This place doesnt even deserve one star. I took my young boy fishing here today however we didn't stay. We had tried calling several times this morning to see if they were open and had space however they never answered. We hadnt tried this lake before so drove down to reception to see if we could fish. We knocked on reception but no answer and no one seemed to be about. Just as we decided to leave the owners partner came over and was lovely she explained we shouldn't be parked there so I apologised and said we'd move the car. She said it was ok to unload our things first. We had quite a lot of tackle and I'm only a petite woman and it's a very long walk down to the lake from the car park. The lady went off to get our change. The owner stormed out being incredibly aggressive shouting abuse at me about our car being there. I felt very intimidated as he was shaking with anger. I tried several times to try to explain that id spoke to his partner but he just continued to shout over me. My poor boy was terrified. We quickly left and will definitely never return. We went to clear waters instead just down the road. £2 cheaper and we received exceptional customer service.

Stayed in a lodge here and was beautiful.

Nice place but not very helpfull.

Plenty of fish. Quiet, peaceful, keeps the wife happily catching lots of fish, bream get in way of carp but who cares.

Had to call as couldn't find the place to fish. Didn't seem interested as we weren't staying and just wanted to fish for the day. When we arrived the reception sign was worn out so hard to find. Finally knocked and the guy answered but shrugging his shoulders. Very unfriendly person. Also no tackle present. Wouldn't recommend and 100% won't be back!
