Throughly enjoyed eating here, last night. Service was incredible and the lighting of the venue was amazing. Couldn’t fault the food, the taste was fantastic. Had the best time would definitely go back and would recommend to anyone who looking for a romantic dinner date.

Good menu, large portions. Good food.

Food never loses it's quality. Was fresh and really really good. Staff are also attentive. They make sure we have everything we need.

Great restaurant our waitress was brilliant.

Always a pleasure to eat here as the staff are the most polite staff you can meet. We have never had a bad member of staff look after us. We sat on table 9 today and the waitress made us feel at ease throughout our meal recommend for family or anyone that wants a fun place with good food from a good menu that caters for everyone. Oh and the deserts are a must… Ray amd Mark.

Story of 2 halves it's well presented, clean, large portions and staff are friendly we stayed in the hotel on valentines day, some confusion on the free and all 2 for1 cocktails which we are just explaining about their offersMarketing need to clarify your offers more clearly But other than that great food and great atmosphere Evening started well but soon went down hill some how we were over looked once main course was eaten. Never offered desert menu and had to repeatedly flag somebody down for drinks thus won't detract from an ok day at Smith snd Western Mr & Mr WoodComanche Room.

Great first time experience. Amazing decorations and quirky. I’m sure you would find something new each time you go. Lovely service and great food. A little bit of a shock and loud when it’s someone’s birthday but all in all it was a lovely evening. Thank you. My daughter loved the hot mini doughnuts with chocolate sauce and sprinkles.

Stayed in one of the rooms loved that it was all themed fab breakfast. Would highly recommend.

1st visit and was fab. Food was gorgeous, great cocktails and brilliant atmosphere. Loved it and can’t fault it. Our server Dan looked after us well. Not sure when we will get to visit again, but is defo on the list for when we return.

Arrived at 4.30 to an empty restaurant and by 6pm my partners food arrived and the waitress told me mine had gone through wrong and was not what I ordered so he is eating whilst I wait… some more for my food to be made. Not great and we both have empty glasses as there looks like there is only 1 waitress. Not impressed at all.

Very tasty food and good service. Only tad issue I found is the small range of drinks on offer (or atleast typical ones) as I wanted beer as it was an anniversary dinner but only 4 beers were on offer and they were in small bottles, next size up was buckets as they call them with 3-4 pints. Still, food was great as I previously mentioned :)

Lovely food but service was a bit slow after main coarse. Waited ages for birthday cake and coffee. It was quiet at time.

Ribs were amazing. Staff friendly and helpful. Ambiance was superb. Beer a bit pricey but you cant have it all. Would I recommend? I sure would.

Myself and two friends were on a day out to Royal Tunbridge Wells and we're looking for somewhere for a cold drink and a light lunch. We came across this gem of a place and will certainly be back one day. The staff were really lovely, welcoming and such good fun. We had a great laugh with them, a nice lunch and was advised on what drinks to choose. Nothing was too much trouble, lovely atmosphere, food and staff. I went there with my boyfriend last weekend. We didn’t know what to expect we came from Halling near Rochester (Medway Valley Park) anyway the staff were amazing and made us feel welcome, the food was stunning didn’t take long and the atmosphere is the best part can’t fault it at all. I’ll be definitely be coming back and bring the family up too. Thank you again Smith and Western see you soon :D.

Nice food not the best service in the world but I try to not judge people as everyone has bad days! The food is nice not mind blowing but good!

Went back a second time as the first time we had quite a wait for our food. This time it was brilliant service and the food is always good.

Popped in for a lunch after trip on spa valley railway, ordered 2 different salads and a jug of Coors light plus water, was a very warm day,. Sat outside. Staff seem to be taking in the sun. About 25 minutes late our food turned up. Very nice but still no drinks! After two reminders and two staff members telling us the barrel was being changed. Finally drinks arrived. For over £45 we expected a more prompt service, certainly was not busy at that time. Disappointing.

Came here for my husbands 40th birthday (with our son). We loved the atmosphere and decor (we love country music). When our food came out unfortunately the waiter accidentally dropped some of my husbands chips in his lap and the floor. The waiter said he would get some more sent out, however they never materialised. My husband complained. We ordered desserts too. The food is nice. We did get a discount on our bill after the mishap fortunately. We would certainly go back and have said we will try the accommodation as we live an hour away and loved the whole theme thing.

A really lovely, welcoming hotel. Staff all very friendly. Had a meal in the evening which the food was well presented, very tasty. Thoroughly enjoyed. Reece, our waitress was lovely. Recommended a the Cajun mac and cheese which was very nice. This is our 2nd stay. Highly recommend this place. Within walking distance to a variety of did and restaurants.

It's hard to describe how awful this place is. It's Western themed so all the waiting staff are forced to wear cowboy hats. Horrificly cheesy country music plays on a loop. Even the toilets are labelled "Buffalo Bills" and "Buffalo Jills". I was with my American sister-in-law who also remarked that the stereotyped Native American décor would be considered highly offensive in her home country. If you don't like your food deep fried and swimming in grease, you'll struggle to find something on the menu. In the end, I just ordered some curly fries. When the food arrived, the waiter accidentally dropped a glass of water over my food. To be fair, he apologised and offered to bring me more food, but to be honest I just wanted to hurry up and get out of there so I decided I'd rather stick with my soggy chips. At least they were slightly less greasy after their rinse! Really, I don't know why you would come here unless you were having a children's birthday party or something. I honestly can't think of a single redeeming feature about this place. Would give zero stars if I could.

Great western themed restaurant. Had lovely staff and gorgeous food, couldn't fault it. The cocktails were also lovely. Had the sharing pudding which was divine although 3 of us just couldn't finish the whole thing!

They were very helpful especially with the grandchildren. There was a duo playing which was very good. Provided an extra atmosphere.

Had a lovely meal with friends, the food & the atmosphere was great. Loved the sadle bar stools! Could have sat at the bar all night! Lol. We was well looked after by our waitress, we never felt rushed which was lovely. Definitely recommend it x.

Been here before and it was ok. This time it was awful. Cold. The music is so loud you cant hear anything so having a conversation is out of thw question. Hubby had chicken with cheese on and bbq sauce said it was ok but nothing special. I had nacho platter I had this last time and it was alright this time it was awful. Looked good but yeuk… old nachos burnt horrid. I did complain and the waitress took it to the kitchen who agreed and took it off our bill but I was left having had no dinner. Wont be back again.

The food when it finally turned up was lovely, the service on the other hand was terrible. Had to ask 4 times just to refill the drinks. Got the food order wrong. Then not even an apology when we brought this up at the bill.

Love the food here. Great portion sizes at a reasonable price. Also they make a fuss if it's a birthday or special occasion.

The food was lovely, however, waiting for our table to (just) be laid for over 20 minutes (there were about 6 free tables we walked past to our table, after the barman chased our table up for us). We were then given our menus, another 20/30mins past where we were asked what we'd like. We got our meals about an 1hr10 after initially arriving at the restaurant. In total of arriving and leaving (after 2 course), we had been in there for approx 2hrs30 — we weren't asked if we'd like more drinks, which were finished before our mains arrived and didn't order anynore due to the extremely slow service. This was our 1st visit and unfortunately will be our last. Sad as the restaurant has huge potential.

Great hotel and really helpful staff. I was very ill (not related to this stay) whilst staying here and the staff were really helpful and agreed a late checkout time with my husband so that I could rest for longer before travelling.

Gorgeous room, central but not noisy. Lovely breakfast. Will definitely return soon.

Great decor, friendly staff. The place was empty but still had a long wait for food. My jacket potato was still raw, by the time I had my meal back every one else had finished eating. The food was okay apart from that. Found it slightly expensive.

We fancied going here as it looked like a bit of fun and not to fancy for taking a small person. Staff were very nice and friendly. The restaurant seemed very clean and we enjoyed the western theme…! Food was good but thats about it — didn't find it overly special or overly different from some other places we have been. Also found it was perhaps a little more than we would usually pay. Conclusion — glad we went, dont regret it but prob wouldnt rush back.

A great western themed restaurant with standard food. The two times I have been I have not been disappointed but the food was not overly impressive.

Mixed experience. No reception so the bar man checked us in. Room was fabulous — spacious, very well furnished, lots of small luxuries, and a lovely bathroom with exceptional spacious shower. Then there was the inclusive breakfast — our whole breakfast experience was probably the worst I have ever had in a quality hotel. It got off to a bad start, with a powerful smell of polish. A cleaner was polishing parts of the breakfast restaurant. In addition another cleaner kept walking past us with her bucket and mop attending to another part of the restaurant. Why was this being carried out whilst guests were eating? The food and service was atrocious. A small coffee came, with no sugar — I asked for some and 3 small sachets were provided. Milk for cereal was labelled honey, no butter for toast or marmalade either. The full breakfast arrived — bacon so thick, cold, and tasteless I could not eat it. One fried egg, supposed to be flipped over but wasn't, and hard yolk so inedible. Baked beans tasted cheap own brand type, and mushrooms were sweet, so inedible. No one available to complain to as the one waitress was hardly seen. My partner's meal also a disaster. She has some dietary needs and cannot tolerate dairy products — she asked for mushrooms on plain unbuttered toast, making that very clear to waitress — buttered toast was served.

Food was very nice, ribs tender and feel off the bone. Cocktail was really nice. Our waiter Rob was nice and made sure everything was ok, nothing to much of a problem for him. The ice cream sundae was huge. Overall a very good experience will definitely be back soon.

A cowboy themed restaurant and hotel, with excellent choice of American style food. A word of warning though… The portions are huge. While this offers excellent value for money, don't go large unless you can eat several pounds of food, and the starter sharing platters for 2 will EASILY feed 4 as a starter or 2 as a main course. I didn't manage to get to the desserts, but the ones I saw were equally massive. The western theme and decor is very good, but the spot lighting is rather harsh. The staff are friendly, attentive and very helpful. Overall an excellent experience, though I could barely walk by the time I left even though I didn't clear my plate. Next time I'll skip the share platter starter. :)

For an American restaurant in the UK it's not that bad. Good for kids and famikies.

Poor service long waits between courses. Staff could be more attentive, had to go and get our own drinks twice! Food OK' ish! When I complained told they were short staffed! Not asked if we would like coffee at the end, and had to go and find someone to pay the bill! All in all not good.

Great atmosphere and decor. Excellent bar. Excellent choice of food — very well priced. Only missed 5 stars as the quality of the burgers aren't as good as the price would suggest, but the platters are extremely good value. Definitely try the extremely well priced nacho platter! (For sharing).

The place has a very good atmosphere for sure. We went for just a coffee but it was not priced to make us want to go back.

Previously gave this a five star but quality of food and service has declined. Unfortunately the prices have stayed the same.

Fantastic steaks, the filet is one of the best i've had. Well worth the price. They also have friendly staff and it's a great place for dinner.

Another visit, another great experience. Ribs and chicken were superb, and the spicy onion tower HUGE. My children love the atmosphere in here.

Been many times before as it's very close to home and really kiddie friendly but have to say today's lunch was very poor. Service was dreadful, the waitress we had was either hanging around like a bad smell when I wanted to get on with my food or nowhere to be seen when I wanted to order something. My husband ended up helping himself to the mayo and vinegar that we asked for and never got. My burger was cooked within an inch of its life and was very dry. Chips were cold for all of us and husbands chicken was also cold which was I guess no surprise when it took so long to come out. Overall very dissapointing for the price. We chose s&w for a cheap and cheerful Sunday lunch cos I couldn't be bothered to cook but I wish we'd gone to one of the gastro pubs up to road. Would have cost about the same. Also worth adding that the menu has not changed in the 5+ years we've been visiting just the prices going up to the point of obscenity for what you are eating.

Appalling service overpriced rubbish.

This is not haute cuisine but my kids love this place. Best ribs in TW — not cheap but worth it. You either love or hate the cowboy theme. My advice is relax and go with it to get the best from your visit. Staff very friendly.

Cute place, with a staff that went above and beyond to be helpful and friendly! I talked with the bartenders over a single beer for an hour and half about the differences between the United States and England. They talked about crumpets, and when they found out my family and I hadn't had them yet, they brought us some for breakfast the next morning! They were delicious, as was all the food we had there. ABSOLUTELY recommend this place! The decor is so charming and the service is incredible.

Service was fine, but food very poor, ceaser salad was soggy with salad cream and not ceaser sauce, burger was over done and dry, onion stack was over cooked, all in all not worth £10 let alone the £100 paid. Not returning.

Had an evening meal here and it was average, but the service poor. Tried a breakfast and basically paid £8 for "American" pancakes that I could have bought at the Sainsbury's next door. It was a very small amount of food for the money and they charged £1 for the temerity to ask for another rasher of bacon (again, regular shop bought English bacon). Addressed comments to staff, quite politely and they were uninterested and facetious. Disappointing experience.
