Lovely clean rooms, quiet location, hosts are wonderful, really enjoyable stay would highly recommend.

Absolutely lovely guest house. We were welcomed by a lovely & most friendly lady who took us through everything. Room was wonderful, clean and the most wonderful bed. We would highly recommend them.

We stayed here on the night of 28th July on our way home to France and enjoyed a very comfortable night in the spacious family room then an extremely tasty full English breakfast before our depature the next day. Despite our arrival later than scheduled and a minor problem that ensued, the owners were very, very helpful and understanding. Excellently situated for the channel tunnel and our stay here made a long journey home much, much more bearable. Thanks! :-)

Loved our stay at the Wycliffe. Great breakfast and we were looked after like kings. Rooms were very comfortable. We are looking forward to our net visit (and hopefully a longer stay at the Wycliffe)

We stayed in the superior family room for two nights; it was immaculate! We all had a great night's sleep. The beds were super comfy! We were traveling with my 9 year old autistic son who is not good with new places but he absolutely loved the room! Sharon is am amazing person (unfortunately did not get to meet Trevor as yet! :) ) She made us feel so welcome and we all felt so at home straight away! Breakfast was 10/10! Would highly recommend. Great place for families! Really looking forward to coming back in the near future! :)

Great and relaxing B&B with a garden on the back end. Good views in quiet setting. Lovely home with guest lounge and honesty bar. Room was comfortable with en suite facilities!

Stayed for two nights, very clean and well maintained guesthouse. Owner was very friendly and attentive. Off road parking was a bonus. Enjoyed the full English breakfast. Highly recommended.

I don't have much experience of guest houses so I don't really have much to compare it against. However, we arrived at Wycliffe and were given a warm welcome and shown to our room. It was a family room with a small ensuite and basic tea making facilities. We found everything to be in order and the lounge downstairs was a nice cosy place to unwind and relax after a long journey. No complaints at all.

Very nice B&B. Cozy rooms (at least mine). My family had a nice sleep. And which is important it has rooms for 4 people. So it is perfect for families. You don’t have to worry about dinner — because there is plenty of restaurants in 15-20 walk from this place. I recommend Luben’s Pizza (separate review). There is also small parking place so there shouldn’t be any problem with car. I can recommend this place for weekend trips with clean conscious.

Stayed there one night in march. Sharon was very friendly and changed our room for the family room for no extra cost. She heated baby food for us and let us check in early. The guesthouse is clean and tidy and very well organised. Due to the time of year it was a little cold in the room during the night as it had been snowing in the area. I would definitely go back and stay again. Great full english breakfast. Thank you.

Good price, lovely rooms. The house is pet friendly, there's a private parking. The location is good also — easy access to Channel tunel, Dover ferries and town centre.

I recently had the pleasure of spending a Month at the Wycliffe Guest House, in Folkestone, Kent. This beautiful 1890’s Victorian Building, with its ‘For Residents Only” private park alongside the Wycliffe’s pretty little garden, was a peaceful place to 'come home away from home' to. My spacious bedroom with its neat little en-suite bathroom, was very comfortable and spotlessly clean. I particularly appreciated the hospitality tray and the well thought out Welcome Folder in my room. The bed was one of the best I've slept in. The guest lounge and pub (with working Pin ball machine :) ) are great places to enjoy a sundowner and be sociable if you so choose. The airy Dining room was most inviting. The delicious full English breakfast was something I looked forward to, every day. (The good idea of filling in the breakfast form the evening before allowed me to choose what I would prefer and have it served hot and ready on time. ) The new owners, Trevor and Sharon, are gracious, friendly hosts. Any inquiry, concern or need (like fresh milk for my hospitality tray), is promptly and efficiently attended to. The Wycliffe is close to all Public Transport but for anyone who enjoys walking, it’s not far to walk into Town, down to the harbour or along the famous Leas. A fascinating town for its World Wars history. Good value for money and a great location.

Lovely. Super-clean very helpful owner, really customer + dog-friendly. TV, free Wi-Fi, coffee and tea in room. Offroad parking. Only 5 mins' walk from beach. We had Room 4 with lovely view out the back.

Wow, new mattresses, sheets and towels throughout, new cushions on the bedroom chairs and the foyer, pub and stairs to the first floor have all been recarpeted. All this in addition to the the tasteful refurbishment of the lounge with it's pretty new curtains and a new bar, bar stools and working pinball machine in the pub. The new owners are so efficient, friendly and helpful, the breakfast was hearty and delicious, especially the tasty sausages and a good stay was enjoyed… by all. Will definitely be back — hopefully often.

Friendly enough place, with proper full English breakfast available. Limited dining times. Pet friendly. Basic rooms and possibly the smallest bathrooms I've ever seen. Great stop over for anyone looking to go early on the Channel Tunnel.

Small room. No cleaning service. Owner lady is gridy.

Victorian hotel very nice near the center and where pets are allowed. It is not possible to leave them alone in the room and no elevator available.

Cozy enough and a reasonable price. Was out too early to eat breakfast so cannot comment on the food there.

I spent a night in this B&B or hotel whatever u call it. Very bad experience. 1. ) rooms lights were not working 2. ) bed lights not working 3. ) water pressure in tabs was almost none 4. ) very very small bathroom 5. ) bath door broken, hanging 6. ) bath tab was not working, very low pressure 7. ) very old TV with 5 channels 8. ) no access to any microwave 9. ) no place to iron cloths. 10. ) narrow parking place 11. ) host was not friendly do not even consider spending £45 per night in there.
