Lovely friendly staff. Easy parking and lots of different shows and films to watch.

This is a great local venue which currently appears undersubscribed. It shows current films, has a great theatre, is very well maintained and the seat prices are excellent value.

Beautiful building, interesting screenings and reassuring safety measures.

Visited this morning with my 4 year old and was really impressed with the safety measures in place, felt like they had everything covered. This is our favourite cinema and we have missed you since lockdown, so happy to be back! x.

professional, courteous staff, SO clean & comfortable, really well looked after & a great family atmosphere. Really impressed to see that they are environmentally aware with water in cans instead of plastic bottles & drinking straws that are bio-degradable, with recycling awareness these day a lot of other businesses could learn from this approach. … SO much better than any of the large multiplexes — wouldn’t go anywhere else!

A good carvery and grill. The parking by the hotel can be limited but loads of parking in the immediate vicinity. Worth a visit. Good staff and facilities.

Convenient and affordable place to stay in Letchworth — just 2 minutes walk from the station. Room was comfortable if a bit outdated and our double bed was fairly small. Breakfast offered everything you'd expect from a full English in a pub — ideal after a big night!

Had a good afternoon and evening at this hotel attending a wedding. Facilities good. Staff very friendly. Didn't use hotel room, although visited one room which was reasonable, although in need of updating.

Great rates and friendly welcome. No aircon but, normally this is not such a deal breaker. I rate this hotel and would stay again.

Fantastic food and very reasonable too. Service charge was added to the bill which is a shame for our server as we were going to tip twice as much … I know we could have still done so but don't like establishments to presume their service is worth tipping. This should be something a patron decides for themselves. That would be my only criticism otherwise I would have given a 5 star.

We went here as a group of 11 and had a great experience. Good selection of drinks are available (I'm a big fan of Staropramen beer), plus we had the carvery which was really tasty. You get given a decent portion of meat, then can help yourself to the rest!

I had no idea! What a civilised way of seeing a First class performance without the stress of travelling in to town. The string trio and the complimentary drink were a lovely touch too.
Will definitely be going again.

Review for the Carvery, bank holiday Monday. Just great, wasn’t very busy, food was very good a lot more meat than I was expecting. Service was excellent, really good selection of beers on tap. We will be back very soon.

This review is for the carvery that is served all day. I hate having to make small talk with the carver in a vain attempt to get a slightly bigger piece of meat only to be disappointed with a thinly sliced bit of meat that doesn't satisfy my greedy appetite. However, the Broadway is completely the opposite. You will get all the meat that you want, no matter how big your eyes are. You will need to say stop or the carver who will feel you plate with thick cut slices of delicious meat. The new chef makes all sorts of other dishes that are wonderful to try. The wide choice of veg is also cooked and maintained very well. I go here at least once a week and I have never been dissatisfied, quite the contrary I have always been very happy with both the food and the service. Don't bother with the chain restaurants visit the Broadway. It's fantastic.

If you are looking for a really good carvery you cannot go wrong here. Everything served is cooked well and kept in good condition. You will not find dry veg or soggy cabbage. The carver will carve your meats until you say enough so you do not have to try and befriend him in a vain attempt to get an extra slice. You know what I mean! So you simple choose your meat and say what you want more or less of and the carver chops away while you look on with greedy eyes. To sum up, the Broadway is cheaper than McDonald's and far better for you and you get the added bonus of great waiting staff who are very attentive and professional.

Good location 2 minutes walk to the station that takes 30 minutes to get to Kings cross (£25 return) nice room with an espresso machine in, powerful shower and decent parking facility. Comfy beds and friendly staff all in all a good book.

Delicious carvery served daily with a variety of exciting events and entertainers with excellent fine dining on a regular basis in the lounge bar or seperate ballroom. Private events catered for too.

Service is efficient and friendly. The carvery provides a good selection of well cooked meat, Yorkshire puddings are very good, and the vegetable selection is ample. Perfect for a large group.

It's okay. Everyone is really nice and it feels really homey. Beds are very old though and you can hear everything that goes on on the corridor. The restaurant is very decent and breakfast offers a large variety.

The staff are helpful and have responded promptly to any queries. So lucky to have this little gem near by.

Friendly staff. Room was satisfactory although the double bed can't have been more than 4 feet wide, bit of a squeeze for 2 people. The hotel has a bit more character than your average Premiere Inn, although not as modern — the included Wi-Fi signal was poor. The lift is very small in case you have claustrophobia, you can fit 2 people with small bags/backpacks inside. There are stairs also. The bathroom we had was spacious and clean, we were impressed. Very close to shops and eateries, and has a carpark off the road. 2 of us stayed for a night with free 'help yourself' breakfast (full-english/continental) for £50. Would stay again at that price.

I love the Broadway. We went to the live streaming of The Nutcracker and was so impressed with how the staff managed to cope with so many people in a friendly and efficient way. It is wonderful how our local venues can make Ballet and Opera so accessable for all. Thank you so much xxxxxxx we love the midweek cinema too xx.

I held my wedding ceremony and reception here on 19/11/17. Aga and the staff were outstanding! Very warm and friendly, the bar staff were chatty and the food was phenomenal! When we checked into our room, that evening, we found a beautiful bouquet and a lovely box of chocolates waiting for us. Wonderful accommodation with nice toiletries and breakfast in the morning was fantastic. My only issue, was that we were woken VERY early by a delivery. Other than that, everything else was top notch.

Somewhat clean, had a greasy spoon breakfast. Was adequate for the price and location. Staff was very friendly and professional.

The room was beautiful and clean, unfortunately the bathroom tap was so stiff when turned it off so would still run even when turned off and there were no plug sockets near the bed or even the dressing table which made it difficult to charge phone.

Meat was tasty and not dry. There wasn't any cranberry sauce on for turkey carvery though. Plus we had to wait half hour before asked what we'd like to drink. Normally not this bad here.

The Broadway Hotel is in the centre of Letchworth with ample free parking and next door to Morrisons. Our room was £74.99 with breakfast for a twin room. The room was OK, comfy beds and tea/coffee making and a good bathroom with shower. Liquid soap and shampoo provided. The room had a TV and free Wi-Fi with a couple of USB charging sockets. The breakfast was very good and buffet style with plenty of choice. Tea and coffee and juices too. Because of its location in Letchworth and value for money, I would go back and so would recommend it.

Stayed for a business trip. Room was clean, tidy and hotel is in a great location close to the station. Evening meal and breakfast were very good. Will be staying here again.

Letchworth Garden City as a place is like stepping back in time. Very quaint indeed. As for the pub. Good food reasonably priced and clearly one of tbe most popular places in this small hamlet. It gets very busy! I would certainly return here and its sure eminates value for money in this modern day and age.

Small rooms. One bedside light not working. En suite door wouldn't close properly. Dodgy lock on main room door. All a bit dated and needs an uplift. On plus side, beds comfortable and good buffet breakfast. Nice staff.

I hate carveries, and I never go to them… but on this occasion I was dragged along by the family and I'm please to announce the broadway hotel and carvery have changed my view. With a very warm local welcome by the staff when you enter was a breath of fresh air. Our waitress was very polite and helpful, but the part that has changed my mind was the chief who was serving the food. Rather than just dump the slop on the plate and pass you on, but this cheif was amazing, so very polite and actually served me with a proper amount of food and even checked to see if I was happy with the amount. Food was exquisite and I can walk out knowing I haven't had my pants pulled down with the price. I'm only rating this place 5 stars but they deserve 10. Thank you for a lovely experience guys, keep up the good work.

Polite and helpful staff. Attended a NT Live Broadcast Screening of Yerma from the Young Vic Theatre. Made the experience nice with a complimentary drink voucher on arrival, programmes available in marketing folders and after trays of after dinner mints presented by staff with a smile. Comfy Seat though I booked late so was to the side at the very front. The Theatre programme is also developing and varied with shows for all ages and interests.

Staff friendly. Breakfast was good. Very quiet room. Shower warm & functional. Room & bathroom clean. Only problem was an uncomfortable bed.

Excellent carvery with some very interesting and delicious vegetable dishes. Loved the potato mushroom and polish sausage.

Food was fairly standard fare, had the carvery but nothing to get too excited about. Service was ok and staff were friendly.

Was here for a Motown party night. Good music. Pleasant staff. Has a car park.

Excellent location. Wonderful and charming staff. The carvery is exceptional value as well as delicious. We stayed one night in a very comfortable room although there were a couple of minor problems. The breakfast was more than adequate. I would unhesitatingly recommend this establishment.

The staff were the best part of my experience as they were lovely and very customer service orientated
Not as expensive as other certain big named cinemas (those companies should be ashamed of themselves! ) and this means we will happily return to watch films in the future
The only flaw was the dire mess other patrons left the cinema in with their lack of knowledge in how to use a bin!

My son and I love this place and we support it every time we can. I can't give it 5 stars due to the price of the concessions, I realise this is to keep the ticket prices down but M&Ms with a 150% mark up on the shop next door is just too much and this is only one example. Beautiful building though and I love the bar area with the original windows.

We were excited to see what the hotel was like based on the photos from their website, but the reality was that the hotel was tired and in need of a revamp. We had one of the twin rooms which was very very small. We had to share a bedside table and there was little more than 1.5ft of space between the beds. The ensuite was good, although my shower did keep switching between boiling hot and cold water which didn't quite make it the relaxing shower I needed. On the plus side, the staff have all been very friendly and helpful. One of the waitresses was dancing to the reception music when we arrived. There is a good selection of ale, cider and spirits behind the bar. I would stay here again, but only for one or two nights.

Had a Carvery here yesterday the meat was incredible the potions of meat was great but the roast potatoes wadnt very nice and the vegetables was hard and undercooked but the staff were friendly and helpful just wish they would do something about the veg.

I was here for a meal out with my family on the evening of 1st January 2017 and I thought the food and service was very good. I asked for my steak to be rare to which it came out just the way I wanted it; the pudding was excellent; the atmostphere was really comforting; and the girl who served us was pleasent — she asked us a couple of times on how our food was with a smile on her face. I'd strongly recommend this place.

A very nice carvery with a good menu for alternative meals. Pleasant environment and helpful staff. We have eaten here regularly and never been disappointed.

We stopped going to the Broadway a few years ago, as their famous carvery was really losing the quality we once enjoyed. However, we've been back twice this year and they've really upped their game and it is once more an absolute joy to eat here. The addition of an ice cream counter is appealing too!

Good solid carvery. Meet portions are smaller than most carvery's I have been to but it was good quality meat none the less. Service was strangely poor, no one really greeted us as we came in so we stood about slightly lost for 10 minutes and then we were seated. No one really granted us any service and yet a 10% "optional" service charge is added on to your bill. Watch out for it!

Went in for breakfast after my in-laws stay overnight. Great choice, friendly staff would definitely recommend (if I didn't live in Letchworth would book a room! )

Nice place for dinner. What we had was really nice but it wasn't what we wanted. Both of us had to pick other meals because they had ran out of the original meals. Plus, watch out for the sneaky "optional" service charge! We didn't notice till going home that they put £6.00 on the bill! Service defiantly wasn't worth that! Not even close!

Not as good as when we have been before. Sevice was poor. Had drinks on our bill we hadn't had.

Service was prompt and polite. Good was hot fresh and tasty. Good value meals however as with most establishments the two cola drinks cost £5 and were flat.

The food and bar were great, friendly staff, great location. The room I stayed in was clean and comfortable. Overcharged afterwards however, quoted one rate when booking, then when charged, account was charged a higher rate.

Lovely little place and conveniently located right next to Letchworth train station and shops. Staff were friendly but had a slight problem with my booking. Also, finding the way to the rooms from the bar (where check-in is located) was a bit tricky with nobody guiding me there. The rooms were nicely decorated apart from the odd filling on the wall awaiting a paint, and the bed was comfortable. The bathroom was also clean and water pressure was fantastic for bath/shower. The Wi-Fi was pretty slow during social hours but for free, no complaints. Only real problem I encountered was a huge clatter of bottles being emptied outside in the early hours, which woke me up, disturbing my whole night's sleep and left me a little tired the next day. Good value and decent accommodation, however I need a good sleep to function so will probably stay elsewhere when I'm back down.

Sunday carvary was good, and very cheap! Would definitely go again.

I stay and eat here regularly. Friendly staff and management; has a family-feel about it. Reasonable accommodation and food prices. Proximity to train station and on site car park makes it a good location to get into London in circa 30 mins as well.

The restaurant was good and was made to feel welcome as there was 8 of us. The kids had the kids meal which would have suited under 5s as not much on the plate for over 5. The carvery was ok not the best. Desserts were lovely. We did have a very annoying noise from lights or something which got worse by the time we left. Overall everyone seemed to like it.

Large food oriented place. The carvery is very good and very keenly priced. Usually has a choice of ham, Turkey or beef which is carved for you. You then pile Yorkshire and veg onto the plate and eat till you burst. Drinks are more expensive than elsewhere and it is here that they make their money back from offering the carvery so cheap. There is not a huge selection of beer but the wine is nice enough. Usually has the ubiquitous Doombar on offer which is unobjectionable and washes the mounds of veg down nicely. This place has improved over time, being better at getting the drink to you before you are half way through your dinner as this was a problem before. It's food has also gradually improved, let's hope this continues.

Great food and service. Amazing value for money.

Visit there yearly for Xmas lunch. Starters and Deserts are very average but the carvery is normally of a good standard for the price. You can fill you plate sky high with the veg etc and its all of reasonable quality. Most of the time the staff are pleasant but a bit slap dash. On the whole its quality over cost is good but it meets expectations… not exceeds them.

The function room was very good.

Not stayed at hotel for years but the carvery is fantastic but I do have to ask how can a building opened in 1961 be described as above as a victorian red brick? Think she was well dead by then lol update had an excellent meal today but when our cokes arrived taste was wrong we thought perhaps given diet yuck was told that it was standard but on further questions was told they now use riviera cola syrup and not coca cola or Pepsi this means as only drink I drink won't be going there too often in future despite the excellent food management please note when I go out I want coke or Pepsi on tap not riviera and not bottled as different taste I really like on tap in a pint glass with ice no substitute Pepsi best coke next.

Went for the Sunday carvery. Food was tepid to cool even by 1245. There were three choices of meats, a pie and a lasagna. Wife enjoyed the pie. One thick dark gravy for all meats which is silly. They were very tolerant of the children.

I have been in worse hotels, just not in the Western Hemisphere. The reception is the bar, it's hard to find the route to the bedrooms through the rambling dining room, the bathroom had mold growing on the ceiling, the paint is peeling everywhere, there are fading notes on everything, the shower head and hose was filthy and retained with offcuts of plastic bag. The lights are wired up with trailing 3-core cables attached to moveable bedside tables! I went out for dinner, when I came back into reception there was a drunk passed out on the floor. I should have heeded previous reviews.
