Nice and quiet.

What a place! Lovely location, beautiful rooms, beds, linen. Superb hosts in Steve and Shiela nothing too much bother or trouble and went out of their way to make us feel welcome. Honesty bar a godsend we didnt even have to go out as Steve and Shiela suggested if we wanted to get a takeaway we could use the dining room. You dont get service or hospitality like this often they are truly a breath of fresh air and I wish them every success.

A very nice place with beautiful rooms and a very good location, just a short walk to the city center. The owners and the staff are super nice, the beds are comfortable and the breakfast are excellent.

We stayed at Somerville House last night and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We were warmly received, had a lovely clean room and excellent location. The best two parts of our stay was the Bed and Breakfast. Firstly best night sleep we have had for ages, the sheets they use were incredible like new, beautifully laundered and fresh. The breakfast was outstanding, best sausages ever, and the apple juice was gorgeous, it was very well presented and the chap who served us at breakfast was so polite and professional and treated us so well, thank you for a super stay. Very much recommend this hotel.

Stayed for 2 nights. Clean comfortable accommodation. Lots of little extras like local brews in the mini bar and the offer of fresh milk in the room. Plenty of variety for breakfast and very welcoming hosts. Well worth a visit.

Brilliant 3 night stay last week. Lovely, spotless, large king size en suite room with comfortable bed. Fluffy towels, dressing gowns, enclosed powershower in bath, even slippers provided. Well stocked fridge at very reasonable prices. Welcoming and friendly. Huge choice at breakfast that was cooked to order. Free Parking. Easy 15 min walk into the city to see the sights Highly recommended… thank you.

Wonderful BandB in residential part of Hereford. Warm, friendly, cosy and new owners couldnt be more pleasant. Breakfast a legend! Yum! Recommended for comfy stay. Walking distance of city and river. Great views from the back.

What a gem… new owners Steve and Sheila gave us a warm welcome… everything was superb… great breakfast cooked well, lots of choice of fresh produce… bed was huge and very comfortable — spacious room and spotlessly clean… attention to detail is much appreciated — we will definitely be returning.

Perfect location to explore the city and the surrounding. The old tenant couple are highly helpful and welcoming. Go there if you're looking for an authentic British experience.

This B&B has won its fair share of awards and it is easy to see why. The decor is of a high standard. Room 5 is one of the more expensive ones, it has a massive bed and views over the garden, which is available to sit in, from large windows. There is hot water even in the evenings for the shower over the bath, iron and ironing board, mini bar, smaller flat screen LG TV, DVD player, hifi, chairs, desk, alarm clock. The breakfast while not unlimited like a chain is hot fresh and tasty. And real filter coffee. There is plenty of space for cars at the front and it is a 15 minute walk into Hereford, or 10 to the Rose and Crown.

Me and Steve had the best 3 night's. Rosie and Bill was very welcoming. Breakfast was very very good. Our room was very big and bright. Full fridge with nice Wines, BeersCiders. All very cheap price. We enjoyed so much we are going again soon.

I arrived at Somerville House on Friday the 17th of March 2016. When I arrived I was greeted with a smile by a young lady. (she did not tell me her name) I initially thought maybe she is the owner but of course I did not know for sure. I was asked to take a seat in the lounge which was lovely and homely. I was offered tea and coffee. I asked for some tea and when the tea came I was informed that their is also a home made muffin freshly baked by Rosie the owner. The muffin was absolutely delicious and it definitely was home made. On arrival my first impressions were its absolutely beautiful. You felt welcomed and you really felt that this is a well kept venue for visitors to stay in Hereford. I then filled in the registration form and was told my room number. I was then told that my room was not yet ready and would I mind to wait in the lounge while they prepared the room. Of course I did not mind and so I waited. When the room was ready I was taken down to the room and it was very clean and very tidy. I was pleased with it. A nice big bed. Tv, dvd player, tea and coffee making facilities and a mini fridge with beverages. After checking in I left my bags and went out. When I came back it was late so of course most people were asleep. In the morning at 8.30am I went to the breakfast room. I was greeted by a gentleman (still no name or introduction) he told me where to sit and asked me what I would like.

My wife and I stayed at the hotel approx. 8 yrs ago when it had first been renovated and at that time everything was clean and immaculate, however on visiting this time I noticed that the carpets should either be cleaned or replaced. Some of the paint work in our room was looking the worse for wear. In the bathroom the shower head was covered in black mould, also some of the sealant had black mould on it. The shower cubical frame work also had chips of paint and chrome missing. The toilet was black at the bottom of the pan and I cleaned it myself using the toilet brush. I also thought the breakfast was not upto a 5 star breakfast standard. Only 1 slice of bacon and 1 sausage and if you wanted beans or hash brown etc you had to pay extra.

Beautiful B&B with exceptional staff! Lesley is amazing! We booked out all of the house for our wedding for family and friends. Nothing was too much trouble! All the rooms were lovely and ours topped off with a champagne breakfast in bed! A big thank you and we hope to visit again soon! X.

A lovely place, staff and owners are wonderful. Close enough to town to walk on a lovely quiet road with other stunning house. Rooms and food great.
