Great room great service forgot to give me my wyndam guess things I usually get.

Really good size clean bedrooms. But no twin rooms on ground floor and no lift. I have limited mobility do struggled a bit.

Nice clean and big room friendly with burger king nxt door.

Wonderful Staff clean shower, excellent room so cosy fantastic price.

I don’t normally do this, but after seeing the lies being told about Michael I feel, for his sake, to explain my experiences of not only him, but also the guests who claim he was terribly rude to. Michael was wonderful at check in. He was courteous and helped me take my bags to my room. I thought he was fantastic. I was outside the hotel, having a cigarette, at about half past one in the morning, when two men with Scottish accents tried to check in, however, Michael did not allow them to check in. I overheard him say that the notes they were trying to pay with were out of circulation, so he could not accept them. I think this is justified completely. One of the Scottish men then left to go to the services opposite whilst the other stayed inside. The man came back, and I can only imagine he found an acceptable method of payment as I saw nothing further of them. As I finished my cigarette, a man wearing the WH Smith’s uniform asked me if two Scottish men had checked into the hotel. I asked why, and he told me that they had just tried to change some Scottish notes into pound coins, and he thought the notes they used were fake. I do hope Days Inn take action against the lies being told on this review page, not only to protect their brand, but also the reputation of their fantastic staff, such as Michael. I work in hospitality myself and, personally, knowing what I know from the situation, I would not have checked the guests in at all.

One star is an extremely generous offering far greater than receptionist Michael's customer service skills deserve. After 12 hours of driving, battling treacherous conditions, cold and tired my friend and I stopped at Days Inn at Winchester Services only to be met by utter disgust for attempting to pay for our short stay with Scottish bank notes. The legality of the currency is neither here nor there, it's shocking customer service from an overtly officious young man who appeared to take great pride in our misfortune that forces this review. After emptying the car and our pockets of every pound coin we could find, we scraped together just enough to pay for our stay and were finally granted access to a very disappointing and disgustingly unclean room.

Horrendous experience. Michael who was on shift on the 19th March at 1am left is feeling very unwelcome as supposed guests. After a 12 hour journey from Scotland he rejected our money on the basis of its origin. He advised not legal tender which is completely bizarre in a "travel" lodge. His attitude was almost one of a misplaced pride in holding the power to unsettle the brand he represents. Not only will I avoid staying at days inn Winchester again but all days inn establishments. If they choose employees as unfair and unpleasant as Michael then couldn't they all potentially be the same?

Room was a good size and clean enough. Very functional would use again.

Heating made funny noises. Motorway noise too loud. If staying for more than one night bear in mind it's a 15 mile trip just to get from one side of the motorway to the other. Staff were really helpful. Beds were uncomfortable.

Lovely staff, good price but don’t book this hotel if you want a night out in Winchester, you won’t get a taxi and if you do it’ll cost a fortune! Great for a stop over only.

Got a £60 fine from CP PLus for staying overnight at DaysInn. I would recommend this hotel only if you get there on foot. It is the second and last "IT Mistake" I am experiencing from DaysInn.

Great rooms — cheap and cheerful with a very comfy bed. Starting to get a bit worn looking and feeling but still a great place to stay when headed South in the M3. Bit of a ball ache to get to headed North on the M3 but still one of the cheapest and best hotels in the area. Staff are always very friendly.

Bed comfortable and room large. Cheap no thrills hotel but quiet and comfy. Only issue os location being one side of the m3.

Room was confortable if a little run down with uodate woukd be fine if a little expensive as famiky woukd have preferred to share.

We had a non-smoking room on the ground floor. It was spacious and I had an amazing night's sleep in a very comfy bed. They provide extra pillows too. Water pressure in the shower was great! Loved it.

Could be cleaner. Bit of damp smell too. Bit noisy at night with other inmates slamming doors.

Lovely quiet clean room. All facilities I needed included, ie tea coffee hairdyer. Convenient access to the services and car park, right on the motorway. Very reasonably prices, will definitely stay again.

Would love to leave a review but when I got there I was told I didn't have a reservation even though I had an email confirmation telling me 70 quid will be taken from my card! Bloody useless, won't be using days inn again.

Then tried to charge us extra. Then didn't give us out breakfast vouchers, which we still dont have. Some one had urinated in our toilet before we got into the room and not flushed it. Also, it's only 6 miles to Winchester, but you have to go back up to another junction to get back here and it's nearly 20 miles! £40 in a taxi, they don't tell you that in the brochure! UPDATE. — — — — — We spoke to the manger as we left (finally someone who could help us) and he refunded the difference in price we had paid and offered 2x complementary breakfasts as way of an apology for our experience the day before. To be fair, the hotel was very clean and the rooms were a good size. Location just very isolated. If you're traveling to Winchester the following day, then great, but if you are using it as a base to travel to Winchester and back, don't bother.
