The people are so respectful we stay there often to see my son who lives at Romsey the best place to stay at Romsey what a lovely welcome you get they go out of there way to make yr stay great and the foods amazing booked for Easter already can't wait xx.

What a great place to unwind and have a drink. Staff are very friendly and helpful. They like a laugh and joke but they are still very professional at the job they Carry out in these Hard times. So a big well done.

I booked our shops Christmas meal here at extremely late notice and the staff were brilliant. Extremely friendly, helpful and accommodating.
The food was amazing! I’d heard about Sharons cooking but never expected it to be as great as it was. It was cooked to perfection, there was no scrimping on the portion sizes and the Christmas pud was to die for. I would 100% recommend this place, my staff were raving about it.
We will definitely be booking for next Christmas.

Would not recomend. Felt very uncomfortable and when I asked the lady owner (I assumed) not to touch me it was decided I would never go back to this horrible dingy place where the people have no manners.
Totally unfriendly and unwelcoming Inn. Do not visit.

A dependable forest destination, set on the boundary between Hampshire and Wiltshire — you be in both counties in the bar! Food always excellent, waitresses and bar staff cheerful and friendly, this is a place that needs us to keep it there!

A proper pub, super staff.

Whilst the result was not what we wanted the company, atmosphere and hospitality was awesome last night! Great evening and great venue. Will definitely be returning to this pub again in the near future.

Always have a great night at The Star, Sharon is an amazing land lady who keeps all her customers smiling. The bands and the karaoke are always such fun nights.

Stayed Saturday night… room very clean… bed so comfy. Fry up next day was spot on… Sharon is a fantastic host really looks after her customers joins in on the laugh… bar staff are great. Would highly recommend any one staying for a few nights or even just the one!

The local crowd were not the best but friendly bar staff sorted it out quickly and offered us drinks to compensate. Not a wide variety of alcohol.

This is one of my local pubs. Great atmosphere. Warm and friendly. Great food and drink. Super land lady.

Stayed here the last weekend in June 2015. Absolutely fantastic pub with a really cool landlady, Very comfortable rooms and the breakfast was very well presented etc. It's a must place to stay and meet all the locals with a fantastic atmosphere along with the live music bands. We will return very soon. In my opinion it's a good old fashioned pub where you can walk into and not be stared at, not like some of the modern places today. As strangers we where made very welcome.

You can't beat The Star for the best Sunday roast around &what a friendly place to be.
