Absolutely fabulous. The staff. The rooms. The venue. The kind and warm and welcoming service. The total calm and supportive atmosphere and kindness and genuiness of everyone. We have never experienced such kind hearted people who guided and supported us through every moment of our wedding with such passion and commitment… Thanku does not say enough. Wonderful venue for a small gathering. Beautiful spacious lawns with a swing that proved a huge hit with the children. The staff were so welcoming and hospitable. Nothing was too much trouble. How lucky are we, as Hook residents, to have this gem of a venue on our doorsteps? Thank you.

Great setting during these different times. I wanted somewhere local for my husbands birthday and they didn't disappoint. We were welcomed at the front and walked around to the undercover seating. It had a wonderful balance of feeling friendly and a special treat. Pizza's were delish and the service was professional.

Pizza picnic on the lawn was absolutely superb! Delicious pizzas, great choices especially for me as I could have any topping on a GF base.

Lisa, Katie and the team have been so kind and supportive to our family following the sudden death of my husband. They went above and beyond to help us hold the Celebration of Life at the hotel and make it as easy as such a difficult time could be.
The house itself is so full of character and history and is warm and inviting. Hoping to be back in a few months for a wedding.

Lovely room very nice bed great evening meal staff went above and behond to sort food out for our 4 year old we will be back and wud defo recomend.

We recently had our wedding here. A massive thank you to Lisa and Katie (what lovely people) as the hotel, grounds, marquee, rooms and customer service was just amazing. We were treated like VIPs throughout the whole experience, and the day itself went without a hitch. They even booked the sun for us ;) I would 100% recommend the hotel, especially if you are thinking of getting married. Thanks ladies, you are doing a grand job and we couldn’t have been happier. Love Mr and Mrs Burling xxx.

Only an overnight stay but they couldn’t have been more helpful and friendly, lovely and peaceful, and lovely breakfast. Very accommodating the following morning when I needed a couple of hours to kill and the weather was awful.

Nice venue, communal areas were nice and staff were very friendly. Some of the rooms could do with a bit of modernization.

Just stayed there for 3 nights with a colleague on a Work trip. Absolutely lovely hotel and the staff were amazing! So friendly, always smiling and nothing was too much trouble. Would definitely recommend and if I’m back in the area I would not hesitate to stay here again.

Stayed 31.7.18 Had very enjoyable stay. Room was small but very quaint (some exposed beams and excellent en suite) Staff were very welcoming and efficient. Lovely building and well situated for exploring Hampshire Mike and Jenny.

3rd time here just such a lovely place … cosy intimate and not clinical and cold like the mainstream hotels. Food lovely … there is soo much. Rooms so comfortable full of character and personality. When in basingstoke on business this is where I will stay.

So, admittedly, we weren't here as a guest, but as the entertainment for a festive event. This is run by a family, and they're a lovely bunch of people. We played a company Christmas do as a functions band. They provided the company with a large marque and access to the main body of the house. The event was seamless and well organised, and their customers were all very much enjoying themselves throughout. The bar remained stable throughout. The drinks a little pricey, but in keeping with the charm and class of the joint. We were shown some of the rooms, and these were well presented, with large Victorian windows, and a cozy feel. If I lived further away, I wouldn't hesitate in booking a room here, and if I were to host a festive event, this is a strong contender.

Nice setting. Good bed though some of the fixtures seem a little tired. TV could be bigger. Nice breakfast. Overall good.

Quaint and lovely hotel but limited facilities and some updates needed. Lovely staff and good food in the restaurant. Some rooms are absolutely tiny so get a king if possible.

It's the first time I have stayed at this wonderful hotel and what a find. The hotel is absolutely charming in fact stunning! The staff were all really helpful and friendly and the breakfast was the best I have had in a long time. My room was really clean and spacious and the bed was so comfortable — I will definitely be back. Thank you.

Absolutely wonderful B&B. Felt welcome from the first second, owners are great people. Fresh and home made dinners and the property is stunning. Business travel gets a little less lonely here.

The Hook House Hotel is a charming, clean and characterful, family run 17th century hotel offering great food and friendly service. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay here.

Absolutely stunning, superbly run and managed. Simply the best tasting full English I've ever had, nice strong coffee. Wonderful grounds very spacious. Well kitted rooms with tasty treats. The management (Rai, Lisa and Katie) go above and beyond to help and please. A true gem of a hotel.

Great friendly relaxed hotel and staff. I like the open fire in the dining room. Home cooked fresh food and do what they can to accommodate later arrivals. Refreshing change from large bland hotels and short walk to hook businesses.
