Reception staff are friendly, polite, efficient and helpful. I wasn’t keen on the food I had yesterday evening — it was a better menu when we were there last time.

The hotel is located very near to the main train station, with a handy taxi rank also just outside. The staff were very nice and helpful and I would recommend staying there. For which, the complimentary free breakfast was also very nice.

Thank you Holiday Inn Express Stockport for hosting my fabulous birthday party last week. I highly recommend the delicious food, stylish rooms, and helpful staff at this lovely hotel. Brilliant location too! 🥰🥂🎈

I loved this hotel… I stayed for business trip, for two weeks… the staff and service is amazing… I loved the rooms and how clean everything was.

Fantastic couple of nights stay, spotlessly clean everywhere, excellent attention to detail with COVID-19 safety measures. Lovely welcome from all the staff. Enjoyed drinking beers in the sunshine in the outside seating area! Highly recommended.

Stayed here for 11 nights on business recently. The staff are very helpful and kind. The hotel is a great location right by a small market and grand central, plus a taxi/Uber pickup spot right outside. Rooms are clean and nice, surpassed my expectations.

Good example of what a Holiday Inn Express can and should be. Benefits from being a new hotel; room facilities are excellent. Air conditioning is effective and not too intrusive, although in common with seemingly all HI hotels it seems to randomly reset the temperature selection overnight. Relatively limited food menu, but what there is is well chosen. Our order arrived quickly, was good quality and very fresh & hot; genuinely surprised given my experience of other HIE hotels. Breakfast options are limited but not bad. Staff were all friendly and willing to help; didn't get to see how they cope when it gets truly busy, but it's a good starting point.

Great hotel to stop, breakfast was adequate and the room was large, with a large comfy bed. Shower is a good size too. Only gripe was when dropping the missus and the bags off before going to the main car park there's only a taxi rank and the taxi drivers kick off when you stop there.

Nice modern hotel, really close to Stockport station and in reasonable driving distance of Manchester airport. There's a lot of building going on nearby during our overnight stop but nothing to disturb us. Parking is at an off-site car park and is chargeable, but is discounted but still high.

Very good looking and maintained. Rooms are nice and breakfast is average but has limited options. Nice for the price but way expensive on weekends. Parking is a not free and a good 2 minute walk from hotel. There is not drive up bag drop off but otherwise it’s a nice stay.

Stayed the night prior to flying off on holiday. Clean room, comfortable bed, good shower. Breakfast was good with A reasonable choice. Booked a room on our return as we arrive late at night and have a long journey home.

Just spent one night at this hotel. A great experience and well worth the £52 we paid. All the latest modern facilities, a spacious and comfortable room and complimentary breakfast included. Best quality food. Range of cereals, fruit, hot food (sausage, bacon, scrambled eggs and baked beans). Discounted parking across the road. Situated adjacent to the rail station. A really good deal for a 'budget' hotel.

We were staying as a family booking 2 rooms. A family room and an accessible room/disabled room. Breakfast was great! The hotel were very helpful when an oxygen delivery was to be arranged prior to our arrival. The family room was very narrow which caused us to rearrange the sofa bed so my hubby could walk past the sofa to go to loo etc. But the most disappointing point of our stay was the accessible room which had been booked for my mother in law's benefit was furnished with an entirely too high bed. I am 5'8" so no midget and would have needed to stand on tiptoe to shift onto it. My 5'4" MIL can walk a little but found the bed too high and I needed to help her up to the bed each time (this was not in our plan as MIL wanted to sleep alone). As the bed was high, it was trickier to get right in before shifting your legs across. I also asked if there might be any equipment which could be borrowed to help support the back in bed, but none was available. The door to the room was fitted with a heavy door closer, which would have made it difficult for a wheelchair user to use independently (along with the bed) While I have not had to use these types of rooms before, as a hospitality student I saw rooms with better tailored facilities in this respect 20 years ago Automatic doors, adjustable beds, some with hoists. Some points which should be added in my opinion.

As you expect from a holiday inn. Nice and modern with tv's that you can stream your phone to. Breakfast was good with coffee to go. Car park is a short walk away but nice and secure.

Stayed here for 3 nights. It was a very comfortable stay. The staff is the highlight, they are all very friendly and go that extra mile to make sure the guests are getting the best hospitality. Very good connectivity to the high street and the station. Safes a lot of time. Quick restaurant service, decent food. (Would be happier if there were more vegetarian options). Would definitely recommend.

Very nice hotel at a reasonable price and perfectly located for a quick connection to the centre of Manchester (it's in front of the train station). Clean and quite, it's very close to a Sainsbury's shop. Very gentle staff.

Very friendly staff. Clean modern rooms. Facilities: Kettle with 2 cups and tea/instant coffee. Fön was not a breeze but really worked. In addition, there was an iron with board. On one side of the bed were 2 USB ports on the socket. The TV allows to mirror your mobile phone, which you could watch e. G. Movies if you have loaded them. Because there is no German channel. Most stable WLAN what I had so far. No crashes. The bathroom so also the room was very clean. Breakfast was very good and always well filled. Sufficient choice. Typical English. There is no sausage/cheese. But a super toaster.
The location of the train station is perfect. There was almost no volume. About 5 min Walk is still a large bus station. On the 5th floor you have a great view.
Unfortunately, you couldn't open a window and the air was a little dry. So don't forget to drink. The only negative (presumably eh. 5th floor) is the water pressure when showering. The fluctuated very much from high pressure to almost none. But that's it, too. 2 min Walk There is a small grocery store for the essentials.

CHEERS! A bit cheeky oneself reviewing this establishment — having never actually stayed there! But, if you have a fair time to wait for your train (just across the way) — the bar/café area in here is most useful and comfortable enough. Just turn left upon entering. The bar area is immediately to your right and the café is just round the corner to the right. That said, a cup of tea will cost you two quid! but, you can help yourself to as much as you like! RECOMMENDED THUS FAR.

Located opposite Stockport train station which was convenient. The staff were friendly too. Clean hotel, rooms were modern and new build which I liked. The Deputy Manager is lovely and she was very accomodating.

Very good value hotel. Clean and very close to the railway station. Rooms are comfortable and perfect for an overnight stay. Would stay here again.

Literally a minute from the station. Room was good. Evening meal was reasonable, breakfast buffet limited but OK.

Absolutely lovely hotel. All brand new and feel like you are getting more for your money. The staff are extremely helpful and if you park in the NCP car park over the road remember to ask reception for a discount card that will half your parking charge. Would definitely recommend to others and would most definitely stay there again.

It is quite a good hotel for business and leisure. It has the position advantage from bus station and train station but the breakfast is not that great.

Very comfortable hotel in a convenient location. Staff are wonderful, kind and helpful. The rooms are clean and well equipped with all necessities. Parking is available at a nearby NCP car park for a reduced rate (£7/24hr). The Stockport train station is across the road. Sainsbury’s is just around the corner and the Stockport city centre is walking distance with shops, pubs and a cinema nearby. Breakfast has a wide range of options and the staff were more than helpful in providing vegan sausages as an option. There’s a selection of cereals, fruit, toast, croissants, muffins, meats, scrambled egg and beans for an English breakfast, and very nice coffee machine that makes simple espressos as well as lattes and cappuccinos. Really appreciated the staff who helped us with any enquiry and were always friendly and approachable.

Nice and helpful staf. Comfortable rooms with excellent beds. Temperature in the hallways and rooms is a bit too high, however the AC works very good but it does make the air really dry. Overall a clean and proper hotel. Breakfast is not very interesting but there's enough choice to get you going. Diner in the restaurant is quite good. Location is terrific with Stockport station literally around the corner. Reduced-cost parking at the nearby multi storey (ask for a info and the reduction ticket at the reception). Recommended!

The room was big and tidy and we'll stocked and the bed was nice and comfy and the duvet was lovely and warm. I'd highly recommend for people staying at the holiday inn express. The staff we're helpful and friendly.

Absolutely brilliant location for the train station. Stayed overnight in a comfortable air conditioned room (actually managed to feel nicely cold for the first time in a few weeks — perfect :D). Loved the blue light in the bathroom too — made my morning shower feel like a mini spa experience :) Free Wi-Fi works exactly as it should everywhere (but rarely hotels get this right) and the room has everything you could need including a little couch with a laptop table. Clearly a lot of thought has gone into the design of this hotel. Very clean and modern as its a new build and breakfast buffet was included. Would stay again in a heartbeat if we ever need to stay in Stockport again.

Is a very modern new build with friendly staff and a lovely breakfast buffet there is no car park but they provide a discount for the car park instead of 16 pounds per day with the discount you pay only 7 pounds per day. Very good. And if you travel by train the station is just a cross the road.

This is a very nice hotel located just next to the Stockport train station. The rooms are very clean and modern, in fact we stayed in a disabled room which had an accessible toilet and shower. And its only about a 10-15 minute taxi ride to Manchester airport.

Nice new hotel. Very close to train station so no need for car. Windows must be triple glazed or something as can't hear trains or noise outside.

Staff and accommodation was excellent, had a good sleep but the food not so good. Had a chicken sandwich with a tiny bit of chicken. Staff very good to give us another one but because they are bought in next ones were the same.

Brand spanking new hotel and nice rooms to boot, very conveniently located right next to Stockport station and easy to get in to Central and inner Manchester. Very close to the M62 as well. Staff are very friendly, rooms clean, Wi-Fi very good and nice breakfast. Could do with some variety on the breakfast though as they same thing every day for 4 days can get a bit boring. And why no cheese with the breakfast? Would stay again though…
