We had our wedding there on a Saturday night. We had nothing but problems. SOME were sorted tbf but they were things that could have been easily avoided in the first place especially when they had over 5k from us. We also only got the wedding suit, which was filthy, for the wedding night. I had to pay separately for the night before. Again, for the money, I thought that was unacceptable. The food served on the day was delicious however the breakfast wasn't great and made worse by the people who serve in the breakfast hall. They were rude and very impolite. The food varied slightly but wasn't all that nice to eat, a massive come down from the food we had on the day. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone tbh and certainly won't be returning.

Can have an good night here can have a bad night wouldn't recommend to go for ticketed events they over sell and crammed that you can not move at all… the five event we went too some of the security crew were very rude to me and my friend… someone even got crushed to the stage which was raised and just a raised platform and really brushed her legs another lady passed out on the floor as so hot But been to normal nights there and been good expensive bit good and somewhere you can stay until the early hours.

His place had much potential. Its location and setting are great. The staff were pleasant and welcoming in general. The rooms were spacious and the beds were large and very comfortable. Yes, the rooms are a bit dated but I guess that conforms with the classic country style that this place presents. The rooms are more affordable than many other places in the area. My main issue with this hotel is its nightclub. We spent the weekend here and the noise coming from rowdy customers on both nights was unbearable and I thought I was capable of sleeping anywhere! Our room was facing the side close to the night club and that might not have helped but equally a lot of the noise was coming from the corridor with late retiring customers banging on doors and shouting. This wasn't helped by the fact that this weekend was very very hot and there was no air conditioning in the rooms and that we needed to leave the windows open as advised by reception staff. After experimenting the whole night with windows open or shut to see whether we would tolerate the heat or noise better, I rang reception between 5 and 6 AM twice complaining as the noise carried on until then. I was told that they would "look into it" and the noise slowly died away after 6am.

Dirty towels and no response from reception staff when informed. Asked for a fan in the end we walked around and found one yourself. Bathtub was filthy and was told we had to move rooms it was late at night eventually they agreed to send someone to clean who never turned up. Rooms were very dated and filthy there was blood on walls and doors. Dinner plates from room service were left out all day and night on floor in corridors. Staff very unfriendly and not concerned at all when I politely approached them about our room. It was a real shame as it was a lovely building and would be a fantastic place with some effort, a good clean and properly trained staff. Also didn't notice till the next morning there was makeup all over the bedding unless my hubby had a more exciting stay than me and I didn't wear any makeup the room couldn't have been cleaned.

Hotel is nice well and maintained. It is a golf hotel so there are a lot of golf groups staying as well as business people during the week. Staff are nice and friendly.

Attended Bredbury Hall for a hen party at the weekend and had a fab time! The only issue was the late check-in (rooms weren't ready until 3:40pm. ) We did the buff butler cocktail package, followed by a two course meal then spent the night in the club. The cocktail class was fab with some hilarious games and both the evening meal and breakfast was delicious! Would definitely go back!

Lovely hotel and the food in the restaurant is amazing, nice and freshly cooked. Rooms are lovely n clean spotless. Also has a nightclub which is excellent it's well away from the rooms so you can't hear any noise what so ever, you actually walk threw this tunnel from inside the hotel and at the end of the tunnel you walk in to the night club; it's amazing. X we stayed their 21st April 18 also stayed few times before it's excellent place to stay.

Rooms are nice and prices are good. Could do with updating the style but at this price point you can't complain too much. Not a hotel for a peaceful retreat due to the bar and club, free parking is nice though.

Pleasant enough place to stay, though you'll need to have a car or take a taxi from the station, which is around £9-£10 depending on rush hour traffic. Would have given four stars but my 0630 call became an 0530 call, which I wasn't too impressed with. Plenty of parking, reception staff were friendly, very decent large room with comfortable bed and a quiet, decent night's sleep. Wouldn't have any major reservations about staying again, wake up call aside.

Large rooms, good food in the main restaurant. Some areas are a little bit tired and worn. Bar is busy and can take a long time to be served. Bar food is mediocre. The hotel has a certain charm that some will really like, including me. I have stayed here over 100 times over 18 years and I still think it has a lot to offer.

Handsome building which is now located on the edge of a housing estate. Ideal for parties and celebrations. If one is taking place and your hoping for a quiet informal business meeting you have little chance except maybe through in the restaurant. Nice food. Didn't stay over in the hotel so cannot comment.

I spent two nights here and I had a meeting in the area and wanted to stay close. The customer service wasn’t terrible but it was very far from good. It’s clear to see that this place was fantastic with modern facilities 20 years ago. Booked a master and ended up in a single although they insisted they didn’t have any single rooms. Lovely bath tub and a good TV, which was a god send as the Wi-Fi is shocking. If you order food to your room their is a £3.50 try charge but this charged is waived if it takes longer than 40 minutes so your very safe there as my burger took 1 hour 45 minutes to sliver up. The burger was inedible as it was shocking, soggy onion rings and chips that were were clearly cooked in a oil that would make Ramsey lose this faith in food. I promise that you are better of going to mc Donald’s. Breakfast is also terrible if you don’t get there first thing. Had it on my first day because I had paid for two days and on the second Couldn’t bare it. From this review I probably seem like a moaner but I’m just a 28 year old male on business who has never left a review on in his life. The rooms wasn’t terrible just everything else. I am now going to find a mc Donald’s.

Spent one night after our flight from MAN was cancelled. Very cold, snowy evening. We arrived at about 10pm. Staff very welcoming, hot meal prepared for us, room large and comfortable. Full breakfast in the morning and reception staff helped us check our replacement flight and booked a taxi. Needs a little updating but overall no complaints.

Was very good for a venue, rooms perhaps a bit small for if you have a lot of people going mind. Other than that, food and place its Self was very good with plenary of on site park I g.

Oh dear, what a disappointment. Room, although large looked like it hadn't been decorated for 20 years. Door handles missing on furniture, very dated and not particularly clean. Extremely hot room and no way to turn off the heating, that in combination with a very hard mattress made for a poor nights sleep. Powerful shower, but no curtain, so water everywhere! Rusty bathroom fittings and insufficient drink making facilities to make a morning brew for two in a King room. Noisy in the early hours, with running and shouting from guests returning from the night club in the corridors and unfriendly staff. Bar staff didn't even know what beers they had?

Stayed overnight as had training course following day. From the outside the hotel looks nice and quaint. Reception looks modern although reception staff not very welcoming. The decor in the hotel is a bit dated and could be doing with a freshen up. Bar meal menu was limited with only 3 starters available and was like going back in time with the choices being prawn cocktail, soup or artisan bread and butter. Would only stay again if had too.

Lovely, affordable and tasty Sunday lunch. Easily catered for a last minute, large party (although wouldn't guarantee that at busy times. Decor is somewhat old fashioned but not shabby at all and still looks great.

We stayed at the Bredbury for 6 nights. The historic scenery was gorgeous. The hotel service was poor. They never left enough towels and were very slow to respond to requests. On Friday night we couldn't sleep because the hotel was so noisy. On Saturday morning the whole hotel smelled strongly of beer and the floors were sticky in the common areas. The shower had no shower curtain, which made it very difficult to shower. The entire hotel was extremely handicap inaccessible.

Top class. Lovely building. Spacious rooms. Comfortable beds with very fluffy pillows. Great corner bath and powerful shower. Lovely staff. Great night sleep. Food was also lovely. The one small blemish was the lack of communication at evening meal.

Bredbury Hall Hotel at Stockport is a lovely hotel, very comfortable and homely, good to stay for the weekend, would go again possibly for day out. The staff were very welcoming and Friendly. Food excellent all round.

Most of the staff were blunt, unfriendly and just plain rude. We paid good money for our room, and travelled all the way from Scotland to be greeted with a sour faced receptionist. At one point we were charged a fiver for one bottle of water. The drinks tasted watered down, either that or it was very cheap drink which they charged a ridiculous amount for. Doors were being slammed throughout the night, I was told from another member in our group that it was actually the staff banging the doors due to a disturbance from the room opposite to them. The shower didn’t have a curtain so water went everywhere, no floor rug either — could have broken my neck had we not laid a towel down. This is the first time I have ever been to this hotel and it will be the last, for the money spent I could have got a better stay in London. I only had a blast because of the company I was with! If we were not such braw lassies I would have demanded our money back. Only given a star because the hotel itself is a pretty sight, and a couple of your security guards were very friendly and approachable.

Beds are comfy, nice TV… rooms were dated and the bath/shower didn't have a curtain and water goes everywhere! Staff were very friendly, curry night was really Good!

Excellent environment for a weekend out. Organised a medical school reunion. Just perfect. Minor hiccups but nothing that could not get sorted after a polite word. Exceptional value. Friendly staff. Good food. Strongly recommended.

Arrived at Bredbury hall for a celebratory family meal on Sunday 17th September 2017. The restaurant was very quiet which supprised me as they offer great value for a 3 course lunch @ £15.95. The staff were friendly, polite & helpful. The food was served nice & hot & plentiful. There was also a pianist which gave the occasion more ambiance. Will definitely be returning an making recommendations to friends.

Booked a king size bed but was only given a standard double. Large room but overlooking the car park. Toilet paper was still in the toilet when we arrived. Had to flush the toilet before use. Extractor fan was not working and hanging off the wall in the bathroom. The bath trim was peeling off. However it was a Jacuzzi bath. There was only one set of towels in the bathroom and tried to phone reception in the evening to ask for another set as there were two of us booked into the room. No answer from the reception so I went down there. Asked for another set of towels and was promised that they would be sent up. They never arrived. The room decor was tired and needs redecorating. Price of the breakfast is £12 each so I would recommend driving half a mile to Morrisons and paying £4.80 for a full breakfast. Nice looking bar and restaurant but we didn't use them.

Kept awake half the night by wedding party. Doors slamming all night, shouting down corridor, music til 5.30. Dreadful waiter service, food thrown onto table. Ok update… following my complaints the hotel has been generous and responsive. Suggests my experience might not be typical. I'd still avoid Saturday night's tho if you want a good sleep.

Good points: Location is amazing, from the outside looks verry good. Plenty of parking. Room was huge with 2 double bed's. Nice size TV (80 inches), breakfast buffet, nice staff. Bad points: noisy guests, outdated furniture, outdated wall tappet, old house smell (like damp) in the room, dirty, not many choices at breakfast. Maybe other rooms might be better, but for me it's not enogh to book again.

Lovely atmosphere and brilliant customer service. Missed out on the club nights but definitely coming back. Fresh food all the way I enjoyed their Beef and ale pie. Yummy.

Great place for a night out. Best to book a room and dinner. Some great deals to be had. Busy club on Saturdays. Friday not so crowded. Food choice is good. Quality good in Bistro and restaurant. Fantastic curry from the pop up kitchen by the residents bar. I hope they make this a permanent thing. Kelly, (one of the managersI think) was great at sorting things out, dinner booking, room and club access. A star.

Had a really good night last night. As we always do. The food is excellent. The rooms are lovely and the beds are so comfy. Danced most of the night after going through the brick tunnel into the nightclub. The breakfast is buffet style and plenty of choice. Most of all, the staff are friendly and will go out of their way to help you with anything. We have been there about 5 times now and have never been able to fault Bredbury Hall. Hopefully going back for our work christmas party.

Looks beautiful and the night went off very smoothly. Bar prices were pretty expensive but as expected.

Bar area is good now they have upgraded. Food not amazing. Ordered a Cuban burger, received the gourmet burger, sent back and 15 mins later received another gourmet burger!

Lovely hotel, great food, good service.

I was only there for a works training session the meeting room was clean and well laid out. The toilets were clean. The carpet on the bottom step was threadbare.

Organised a party here. Staff and venue were great and very helpful. Would use them again.

Price — quality do not feet. Very bad service in the restaurant. Waiting for 30 min, asked 2 times for service, still no service.

Abba night lovely room meal good entertainment fantastic overall a lovely place with some outstanding features will definitely go there again room had a balcony looking out over the river would want this room again.

Beautiful location, garden, lights, little roundabout. Very clean and spacious meeting room and excellent customer service.

Lovely big rooms and decor. Absolutely fantastic three course meal.

I went here with with my partner and some friends (4 couples) for a meal and then into the nightclub as our Christmas get-together. The meal was nice and the main bar had really good music playing. The prices were what you expect for a hotel and some of the entertainment from other guests was priceless.

The staff are rude and unhelpful (especially the reception staff) and what appears to be a lovely country hotel on arrival doubles up as a noisy night club on a weekend full of drunken louts. If you stay the night you are greeted by a bouncer not a doorman and your bags are searched to make sure you don't bring alcohol onto the premise. If you're planning a peaceful romantic getaway for the weekend avoid this place at all costs.

Rented an event space for a seminar. We used the Cherry room which was very spacious and comfortable for around 80 or so people. It's only about a 15 min taxi from stockport station and there's lots of parking on site.

The breakfast is faultless.

Usless dregs of the food as they had the whole table wrong! Deffo not recommended.
