Very well priced for the location and space inside the room we got! Was a bit dark and scary down there, but it was clean and had all the necessities. Good shower, lights, toilet and TV etc.

Excellent service and the location is perfect.

Room not clean. Dust everywhere. Spiders and flies all over the corners. Infectious and disgusting. Not to mention the "bathroom. " Wi-Fi is paying for: 5 euros. I don't recommend it at all.

Very clean rooms, availability and courtesy. The only shortage the poor breakfast. Strong point the location of the hotel, convenient for the proximity to the city center and the metro.

It was a room you can sleep in cheaply which was mostly clean and close to things. The owners were helpful and polite. That's it. Otherwise, they wanted 20 pound to check in early when most places just let you in. 5 pound for Wi-Fi which was a joke and was barely useable unless you are desperate. I measured the speed. 0.3 Mbps. The bed was hard. The bathrooms were tiny and strange since the whole toilet/shower areas is one small square room that fills with water. Their was an inch of dust on top of the window sill. No one was there and I had to buzz a bunch of times to get someone to come to the door. No elevator and a narrow stairwell to lug your stuff up. I could hear everyone moving around in the morning easily.

The surprise occurred the day after we arrived. My son and I went on an early morning tour and my mother came back to the hotel. Upon arriving in the room the first thing he saw were shoes with men's socks as well as a whole molten clothes on top of the bed. He heard the water in the shower at the same time. After the first scare, he screamed asking who was there. Within a few minutes, the boy came out of the reception in towel. He took his clothes, shoes and socks and left. She could see that she had forgotten the gel jar and the hotel's cordless phone. After a while he came back with one of the shower connections saying he had to change that. He went into the bathroom, picked up the phone and the gel jar and left. Not only does he not recognize it but also, I asked for the Book of claims and I got a folio… I wrote my claim and they didn't give me any answers. The roommate says that he is excused saying that he was arranging the shower… Fatal, invasion of intimacy and lies.

I really do not rate this hotel it's expensive the rooms are tiny and dirty. Also the of an evening the staff sleep on the floor whic you have to wake them up if you need any thing.

Very nice area, near the subway. Very well heated. The breakfast was very nice. Excellent cleanliness, they left clean towels every day.

Good for it's price. No elevator so beware of the stairs, but they had an excellent staff on hand. The bathroom smells because of the way they have the sewage pipes, and it is on the small side. Overall I liked the place. It is close to Victoria station (6 blocks away-10min walk) and walkable distance to Buckingham palace, Hyde park, st James, weistmeister Abbey (within 3 miles).

You get what you pay for here. Very tiny bathroom, room was nice with room service everyday. No lifts and narrow staircase so you will have to carry your bag up the stairs. The oil heater wasnt turned on once during my stay (in the middle of winter) however they did have extra blankets in the room so I wasn't cold. 24 hour reception, breakfast included from 8 til 9 am which is cereal and toast. Very close to Victoria station but even closer to Pimlico station (on the same line) so handy hint to cut down on walking time. Booking dot com said free Wi-Fi however you do have to pay 5 pound for the entire stay for 2 devices. Probably wouldnt stay again but I was able to book the day before I needed to check in.

Value for money is questionable. Room had a mouldy smell. Could not turn the radiators down. Good thing about the hotel — 24h reception and hair dryer in rooms.

Convenient location. Old hotel but clean. Room is quite small though, but considering the rate we are paying, it is probably what we can get.

Price quality bad… Dirty shower and dirty bed, I pay 5£ for the internet connection and was terribly slow. Poor breakfast… not at all a nice experience.

I was not impressed with the Carlton. I was on the 2nd floor and had a very heavy case and there's no lift and no one to provide assistance! The bathroom was a tiny wetroom. I asked for a fan because it was quite warm what I was given can only be described as dismal. It was half the size of desk fan and was full of dust; but get this, they even said be careful when you put it on as the dust may blow out! You couldn't make it up. The room was very tidy but there was a musty smell. The mattress was lumpy. I asked if I could book a taxi for the next day and I was told I could get a black cab outside but then In the morning There was a notice saying book a taxi from there at discounted rate! No one was at the reception or so I thought When I called he jumped up from his bed on the floor! I asked about the taxi and he gave no explanation as to why he didn't tell me the night before! I was only there for one night thankfully! The location is great for access to Victoria station.

Well positioned in Central London. Good Wi-Fi, caring staff and lovely well catered rooms.

It's a worst nightmare I have ever had in my entire life. They charge such an higher price but in terms service and facilities it's completely zero. I am not coming again in future and I suggest other readers as well don't select this hotel.

Simply put: It is what it is. This hotel is in a great location. Walking distance to Buckingham, Big Ben, Westminster Abbey, and Pimlico station. The rooms are fairly small, fairly clean, and fairly full of amenities. Our room was cleaned every morning. The staff is very quiet and may come off as dismissive but they gave us zero problems. For $50-$70 a night in Central London, this place is just fine. If you want a slight upgrade over a hostel than this is your place. If you want something that is a little nicer there are plenty of options on this street. Leaving it at 4 stars because the shower is very small.

Uncomfortable, worst price-quality ratio ever, disgusting toilet and too basic breakfast.

We were a few years ago. We were looking for something inexpensive near the center. Was the only good, well located, hotel, breakfast, room all pretty bad. The punchline was that the beds were on boxes.

For £39 you will not find a better room and friendly reception in London.

Hotels in the area quite convenient (near Pimlico metro station).
The rooms are simple but have what it takes.
There is one bathroom for each room (although in some it is just little one).
For what I paid (40£ night) can be satisfied.

Been to this hotel few years ago and it's nothing like it anymore. Dust covering most surfaces, very little room (it was ment to be a triple) with so tiny bathroom you cant even get dressed in. Hair left on shower curtain, pillows and rubbish under the bed including sweets. Breakfast very poor, toast bread, jam with no ingredients description and selection of cereals. If you're thinking of coffee, forget it. There's no coffee machine available and staff has issue communicating in English. We actually chose this place because of last time we stayed in there and it was very good, but unfortunately now hotel has been moved to the opposite side of the street and everything seem to be just so bad. I don't recommend it anymore, sorry.

The best. It's close to the Victoria station. But as a hotel it leaves much to be desired, very noisy and the room for breakfast is very small.

If you want to stay a place to sleep with bathroom and breakfast it's ok. But it is very simple and don't expect luxury as it is a basic hotel in a good location near to Pimlico station within walking distance to Buckingham Palace, Victoria station and Big Ben.

The hotels rooms are newly done. The hotel staffs are very friendly they went out of their way to plan our day for sightseeing. Everything is close by like tube station, buses, eating places and attractions. Anyone looking for a budget hotel in central London than this is the one I would highly recommend this hotel. I thought that the hotel reviews are scary but then everything that has been written is absolutely rubbish. Will recomend to everyone.

Avoid*** smelly, dirty & tried stealing £199 from my card when I reserved a room online was informed I don't pay until I arrive using my card, I asked to see the room first as the web pics look nothing like what you get lol I of course told them im not paying to stay here thank you, — it stank and was dirty hostel type place, a few days later they took a payment from my card anyway! got this returned from my bank! have no clue what customer service is to try a stunt like this! watch out! there are lots of reviews the same!
