Review of The LaLit London - Small Luxury Hotel of the World 5*

Amazing experience! We went for my mums birthday and we all absolutely loved it! We were in awe of the high chai platter when it came out! 3 trays of bliss! The service was impeccable! I was amazed I had 4 drinks — the starter drink was a delicious mock tail beautifully presented with red currants and mint, really tasty! My Assam tea was yum! We all enjoyed our masala chai refills, they came in such unusual cups! The waiter poured it Indian style from a height! I requested mango lassi and our waiter was more than happy to accommodate! It was the best mango lassi I've ever had! He was brilliant, accommodated to our every desire and we had great service. To top it all off we got to meet the head chef who was a delight and it was great to get a chance to compliment him on the innovative, tasty and authentic dishes! Unlike other 'Indian' restaurants in London, we all found The Lalit's cuisine — both food and drinks authentic in flavour and presentation. The shrikhand with scones was to die for! The icing on the cake was the end where quite a few employees came to greet us and took us around the hotel for a tour! We got to see the rooms, the spa and various rooms on the ground floor, we also had explanations and learnt more about when it used to be a grammar school! Plus they gave my mum a complimentary dessert at the end! I mean, what more could you want when celebrating a special occasion?! We were beyond impressed and will definitely be going back! All the staff were lovely, friendly, knowledgable and welcoming! ☺️
