Gorgeous hotel. Amazing kind and gentle staff. Beautiful rooms packed with everything you need. Coffee, tea, hairdryer, toiletries, robes etc. Lovely view of the Shard from my bedroom. The only small issue I had is that the hotel was very warm. But I’m from Scotland and not used to heat! But the room controls meant I could get a perfect temperature. Highly recommend this hotel. Will definitely visit again. Thanks.

Beautiful hotel, lovely friendly helpful staff. The building was tastefully decorated and perfect setting near The Shard. Couldn’t believe the heated toilet seats! Everything was so luxurious. A perfect weekend.

Great hotel. Just had the Indian breakfast well done chef it was lovely.

We chose to stay in the Lalit for my husbands 50th birthday. On arrival we were very impressed by the grandeur of the hotel. After a mix up with rooms, we finally got the suite that we had paid for. Beautiful, spacious, incredibly clean. You could see the shard from our window and a stones throw from tower bridge Very helpful concierge A huge shame the facilities were closed, but we will be back when some of this pandemic madness stops.

My daughter paid for the weekend through hotel. Com but when she left the hotel they charged her again and took over £200 from her debit card, she is 18 and at college. They have admitted their mistake but I cannot get the money back, they are now ignoring my emails.

This hotel has been my favourite hotel that I have stayed in. I couldn’t fault one thing at all.

Poor standard of service. There was nothing 4 star about the experience my husband and I had today sadly. We enjoy travelling around for high tea and enjoy the atmosphere and food but not very good on both counts! Tea taste was stale, mango lassi was warm, trying to charge for water…

The food we eventually received was lovely, however, the whole evening was a comedy of errors from start to finish.
To set the scene it was not a busy restaurant.
We were seated, then 30mins later they took our food and drink order, our starters arrived but no wine.
The mains arrived but not the side orders of bread.
We asked for the bill, then 30mins later we were asked to pay.
We had 6 different people serve us through the evening and none of them knew what they were doing or cared.
We watched one staff “clean” a table; and remake it, without a cloth or clean settings after it has been used.
The service charge was 12.5%, which we refused to pay.
Don’t go unless you are desperate for a food or want a laugh about the poor service! Sorry, but not good for what is billed as a top place to eat for Indian food, and our bill was £120.00, there’s better out there!

Excellent food and great drinks.

Excellent and friendly service with beautiful rooms in a historic schoolhouse building in centralized location of London. The restaurant has fantastic food. Get the complimentary breakfast in which you get to choose any coffee (drip, latte, cappuccino), an item from the menu, plus the buffet. Cocktails are to die for. It’s a gem. It’s one of those places I selfishly hate telling people about cause I want to come back and not worry about availability, but they deserve a fantastic review. Thank you. ❤️

Beautiful hotel and the service is amazing, they found out we were here for an early birthday celebration and we came back from a trip to a decorated room and birthday message. So thoughtful very grateful, thank you so much.

What a beautiful hotel, we sat in the teachers room which was very relaxed.
The staff were friendly and attentive but not over powering. Cocktails were lovely and we ate from the snack menu. The food was great. We will go back to try the afternoon tea.

A hotel focused on service. Very attentive staff, perhaps a little too attentive after a few calls to my room to clarify things but really focused on being helpful. On the important stuff, a super comfortable bed, great shower and facilities, the free snacks and soft drink minibar was a nice touch as was Nespresso and great tea. Location is perfect for tourists but also anyone working in London Bridge and a lot of amenities and places to drink and eat on the doorstep. I'd certainly stay here again and I expect stayed most places in the area.

Elegant. Gracious. Well-maintained. A former Victorian school renovated and opened about 18 months ago. My room was referred to as "cozy" which worried me at check-in but it turned out to have plenty of space. The hotel and rooms are simply but elegantly decorated with art in the stairwells. The room includes free minibar with water and snacks. A simple idea but a really nice touch. As well it includes use of a cellphone which was great for me travelling with an overseas plan with limited data. I could use the hotel phone for mapping my route or looking up restaurants, and my own phone for texting etc. The room was quiet. You enter the hotel through a gate into a courtyard. My room looked out onto this area. Staff were gracious and helpful.

The hotel location is great. Easy access to London bridge station and tower bridge. The borough market is walkable as well. The hotel overall was not that good and not bad. There were several days that housekeeping didn’t clean our room until 6pm. The room was very dusty upon check-in and extremely small room for two people. The bar service was extremely slow even though there were hardly any people in the bar.

The hotel couldn't be any nicer. Service was excellent. Rooms were really nice, beds were really comfy and the warm toilet was a nice touch. Great 2 days here.

During my Europe tour with my family, we had spent 4 days at The Lalit London. The lavish and luxurious hotel offers a splendid service. We had dined at ‘The Terrace’ that is bestowed with a comfortable ambience and serves lip-smacking gourmet delicacies. The rooms are exceptional and manifest architectural beauty.

My cousin has settled down in abroad. For her wedding in London, I had taken up a room at The Lalit London for a few days. It goes without saying; they offer one of the best hospitality services I have ever seen or experienced. With such elegant interior decorations and extravagant amenities, it has become my favourite spot to stay every time I visit London.

A real hidden gem in London. Beautiful building and amazing Indian food. Real luxury and a surprising treat given that much of the new development around London Bridge is so disappointing.

My husband and I stayed at The Lalit London for 3 nights while visiting London for our honeymoon. We couldn't be happier. The Lalit is located less than 10 minutes walk away from the Underground. The "classrooms" are large, clean, and comfortable with closet space, a refrigerator, safe, coffee/tea pot, etc. Also included was a complimentary mini bar with water, soda, snacks, coffees, and teas. Hotel staff were friendly and incredibly accommodating. Breakfast had many options, including freshly cooked eggs.

What a wonderful treat it was to stay at LaLit London. Stunning building, with beautiful interiors and comfortable rooms. The staff is polite, friendly and efficient. The location is superb, next to great restaurants, market and far enough from tourist sights, to not be caught in the rumble, but close enough to enjoy a work and leisure trip. One of the best hotel I stayed in, in a long time. The beds were super comfortable, everything in the room was complimentary, and the bathrooms topnotch. For us it was worth every penny. I would stay here again and recommend it to others.

The Lalit is an amazing place! The staff were friendly and we had a guided tour of the The Lalit! My daughters and myself had afternoons tea there as a Mother’s Day treat! All the food was yummy! I will definitely be coming back for the spa and I highly recommend The Lalit!

On first entering this wonderful hotel we knew we were in for a treat but as the stay went on it just got better. The hotel itself is stunning, a beautiful top class renovation of an amazing building. The staff were aware it was our 30th wedding anniversary as my daughter had previously informed them, to say we were treated like royalty is an understatement, the suite we were given was breathtaking as was all the wonderful trimmings. We had cocktails before dinner which was by far the best Indian food we’ve ever had and another cocktail as a night cap!. We can’t begin to thank the staff enough for making our happy weekend one we will remember forever. Thank you all again.

It is a most beautiful place to eat, probably the most beautiful place I have every eaten in… and the food was amazing, the service first class and the price crippling. But, what a lovely way to become well fed, happy and poor.

Such a beautiful hotel with the best staff! We started our evening with some cocktails at the Teacher's Room (aka the bar). I wanted a grapefruit martini which wasn't on their menu, but Carlos custom made it for me with my favorite ingredients… it was lovely! We had dinner at the restaurant and they have the best Indian food. The staff was so attentive, they even walked us out when we left. Overall a great experience and would certainly recommend this place for dinner and/or cocktails!

Amazing experience! We went for my mums birthday and we all absolutely loved it! We were in awe of the high chai platter when it came out! 3 trays of bliss! The service was impeccable! I was amazed I had 4 drinks — the starter drink was a delicious mock tail beautifully presented with red currants and mint, really tasty! My Assam tea was yum! We all enjoyed our masala chai refills, they came in such unusual cups! The waiter poured it Indian style from a height! I requested mango lassi and our waiter was more than happy to accommodate! It was the best mango lassi I've ever had! He was brilliant, accommodated to our every desire and we had great service. To top it all off we got to meet the head chef who was a delight and it was great to get a chance to compliment him on the innovative, tasty and authentic dishes! Unlike other 'Indian' restaurants in London, we all found The Lalit's cuisine — both food and drinks authentic in flavour and presentation. The shrikhand with scones was to die for! The icing on the cake was the end where quite a few employees came to greet us and took us around the hotel for a tour! We got to see the rooms, the spa and various rooms on the ground floor, we also had explanations and learnt more about when it used to be a grammar school! Plus they gave my mum a complimentary dessert at the end! I mean, what more could you want when celebrating a special occasion?! We were beyond impressed and will definitely be going back!
