I took my own water as was not paying £2.75 for a tiny bottle of water after I checked out they charge me for it anyway! Said they would sort it out and I’ve been ignored ever since. Multiple reviews of this happening to people. If you don’t want to be stolen from don’t book this hotel.

Great food nice size portions. Staff very efficient. Nice relaxing atmosphere.

Would definitely recommend this hotel. The staff were super accommodating but our favourite part of our stay was the dinner in the restaurant! I had the steak and my mum had the chicken schnitzel, we both said it’s the best food we’ve had in a long time! Would visit again just to eat there! Reasonably priced and lovely room aswell, can’t complain!

I stay at a hotel just round the corner but always come here for drinks and supper. For me the bar staff are excellent, real friendly and very attentive. Look out for Liviu, he is a top man.

Great location, great rooms. Loved receiving a warm cookie upon check in. Breakfast is your standard help yourself cooked or continental.

Decent hotel and good price. The rooms are spacious although a little dark. The bed wasn't great as it slanted down at the edges. Woke up with a backache. But the staff were friendly and its nice and clean.

Wonderful views. All staff very helpful. Room was very comfortable, as was the bed. Spotlessly clean everywhere and the buffet breakfast is worth every penny!. A lovely relaxing bar too. Will definitely go back.

Excellent hotel! I stayed there many times and always leave happy! Beds are very comfy giving good night sleep. Rooms always clean — can’t expect anything else — end of the day it is doubletree. Very good service quick check in and out. Food very good quality! Fast room service, good choice of breakfast as well. Would recommend!

Great location of hotel for where we needed to be. Transport links are good to the rest of the city. Staff were extremely helpful. The hotel was spotless. Great food, equally good bar service. Our room was very clean, good size and a very comfy bed.

Didn't stay here but did eat in the restaurant. Any advice from me is EAT in the restaurant very nice tasty food with a good selection. Staff are also very friendly so it's relaxed. Would visit again.

Receptionist was great, room was clean — made the mistake of ordering room service and had a terrible service and was lied to about the menu. Last thing you want at the end of a busy day. Very disappointing.

Very comfortable and attractive hotel. The bar was lovely with very low lighting and a great atmosphere. There was a great choice of food for breakfast and it was served until 11.30 which ideal for us on a Sunday! A short walk away are the ski lifts over the Thames. We then got the boat into central London.

Excellent room and environment, great bar, great staff, could go on. Only gripes were lack of biscuits in the room! Everything else was perfect, really enjoyed our stay. Be sure to take the cable car into central London, excellent!

A nice hotel, ideal for the ExCel London, only being a 5 minute walk away. Easy links to central London on the DLR with it being only 20 minutes from Tower Hill. Rooms are comfortable, modern and clean with good heating/air conditioning. Got a bit of a frosty welcome from reception on my arrival, and when eating in the restaurant from the restaurant manager, but overall the staff were very pleasant. Breakfast was quiet in the mornings during the week, but was much busier at the weekend and later in the morning (8am onwards). If you are fond of airplanes, get a waterfront view to watch them on take off or landing into London City airport. Not an issue for noise at night though as they stop around 9pm. Would definitely stay again!

At the reception we were treated to a very warm welcome even though we weren't staying. My wife and I were dropping her mom off. We received a very fresh, tasty, chocolatey and sweet treat! The hotel and room were really neat and tidy with very friendly staff. I'd recommend the place.

5 min walk from the station, Prince Regent. Walkable distance to London city airport. Good location for the excel and central London. Negatives are — I went during/for an event at the Excel which meant the hotel was rather busy. I had a room which faced the water, on the 4th floor. The room was nice enough but with very limited spaces for storage of clothes. To the extent that I had to put them on the desk. Had a 10 min wait to be seated for breakfast — the food was nice but not amazing, standard buffet breakfast. — second morning was better, no wait. Had no hot water on the first night — and only tepid water on the second. When telling the receptionist they just said “yes we have a problem” offering no solution or apology. I logged a complaint via Hilton online, to which internal management where alerted who sent up complimentary bottle of wine and some snacks. But no solution to the shower. — just saying it as it is — you can judge the situation as it is. But I don’t think a bottle of wine makes up for a lack of shower. Could not open window — not a massive deal, but room could get quite stuffy. Ordered a duck salad for lunch it was below average. Would not recommend. Would recommend to hotel overall, as it was reasonable quality, and a few bad things which could happen anywhere. I just think I went at a busy time and the staff were over worked. Despite this, I was not happy with the way issues where dealt with. I will be following this up with management.

Had a great one night stay here in a room on the 5th floor looking over London City airport and yet there was no noise. My room was spotlessly clean and comfortable. Warm cookies on arrival and exceptionally friendly staff. Would stay again and happy to recommend.

Close to excel so perfect for staying over when working at the venue. Clean, well equipped rooms, great bar area and lovely breakfasts.

Good value. Great breakfast. Accomodated our baby very well. No fridges in the rooms but kept milk in their fridges for me. Only downside is it's a little tricky to reach on foot. Especially in the dark with a pram.

Location was great because of the London city airport. However because we were driving to London, it was the best hotel to park and take the dlr into the city. The staff were friendly and helpful. Food wasn't the best and they could have done better. The rooms were clean and appropriately sized.

Staff were helpful and friendly, food was great. Room clean and tidy but no big light! I have to say this is by far the best hotel I have stayed In, in London. Missed out on 5stars as there was only 2 milk in the room but noodles of choose for tea and coffee, more milk please. Really good sleep and stay.

Perfect facilities and no disturbance due to noise despite the proximity of the airport, hotel a little away from the city nonetheless.

Very comfortable beds, spacious and clean rooms. Shower was very warm and spacious, top hotel from a top chain. Just as expected. Breakfast was also very tasty.

Overall a very nice hotel. The only problem is that it takes a good 20 to 25 minutes ti get to central London. I also recommend using Royal Albert DLR Station and not Prince Regent, as there are no sidewalks to the later, and it only takes a maximum of 2 minutes longer. P. S. The planes wont bother you.

Great hotel, great location, great staff! What more can I say? Don't miss the obligatory welcome cookie while you're here. With the Hilton quality of service guaranteed! Served by 2 DLR stations — Prince Regent and Royal Albert. Bus stop also at Prince Regent. So good connection to public transport.

Clean. Convenient. Friendly staff. Breakfast was top class — full cooked options including black pudding. So good in fact that I went so hard on the bacon, sausage and black pudding that I had no room left for breakfast dessert. My own fault clearly, but you live and learn. I'd avoid the bar, I paid £23 for two double gin and tonics! That left a bitter taste. Metaphorically I mean, the tonic is supposed to be bitter.

Good value for money. A bit far from downtown London. Good level Service and restoration.

Good hotel with comfortable bed and great shower. I paid £100 a night but I hear it gets considerably more expensive when events are on at Excel. Can be a good place to stop if going to the O2 for a concert. You can take the gondola across the river and your there.

The rooms are spacious and clean. Bathrooms are nice with soap etc provided. Shower has good pressure and no delay on the hot water. Bed is very comfy with both firm and soft pillows provided.

Restaurant and reception great.
In the bar 15 min unnoticed and only get the drinks menu on demand.
Then again 20 min left alone and last but not least the cocktails themselves fetched from the bar. And for that, 2 pounds of service taskals is a cheekiness.

Such a lovely hotel. I slept comfortably without any noise disturbance. Breakfast was delicious with variety of choices. My room has an amazing view. I would definitely recommend this hotel for other travellers.

So helpful and welcoming! The front of house staff were all excellent! The food is also of a very high standard, the only thing that let it down was the experience we had once back at the bar in the late evening. I found the two members of staff to be rude and unhelpful. The rest of the stay was that good that it won't stop me staying at a double tree again!

Convenient for the Excel and the DLR this hotel has great views and friendly, attentive staff. We were upgraded to a suite which was spacious, clean and comfortable. The breakfast is average hotel buffet-fare, but they are happy to cater to specific dietary requirements (vegetarian etc) with notice.

Nice hotel with clean rooms slightly on the small side but comfortable and functional and have baths. Some rooms have views of city airport runway which is a short walk away. Not much places to eat around and weak internet signal in the room. Ideally located for excel and city airport.

Lovely friendly staff when we checked in and housekeeper. Nice touch to be given a warm cookie on arrival and checkout. Room very comfortable. We had a separate living room with sofa bed for children and mini kitchen incl all mod cons.

Loved the place. You can easily reach it with public transport. Our room did has a very nice view on the river below. The restaurant is nice, I had a delicious lamb shepherd pie. The buffet breakfast presents a good sweet / savory choice. Kind staff and clean room.

Food at the bar/restaurant is good. Elevators are tiny. Rooms are a little small but not too cramped. Hotel is pretty clean overall. Gotta love the cookies. Would stay here again.

The stars are for the reception staff and the location only. Rooms are little run down. Bar staff totally non attentive. Housekeeping staff do not (or pretend to not) speak English and find it ok to walk into room when do not disturb sign on door on regular basis and become rude when you challenge them on it. Would not stay again even though we were upgraded to a suite which was appreciated at time of check in. Gym was good though and breakfast choices nice. We stayed when new menu just arrived in restaurant and seemed a good change.

Nice to be a hotel from fair then for London it's not expensive.

Convenient location to London City Airport, and five minutes to Metro DLR spacious rooms and friendly staff.

Clean, comfortable, on LCY. But no airport noise! Only down side — no airport shuttle offer on weekends — 16 quid to drive a mile by cab — crazy! Recommend you uber over to airport.

Great facility, very close to the London Airport and the Congress Center, with connection to the city centre in a 30 minutes.

Spacious and comfy rooms, great condition, polite staff, nice bar, plenty of choice at breakfast. If you can get a deal on this hotel for a London trip you won't be disappointed.

Breakfast was splendid, so much choice and super tasty. Free parking area was too small. Room size was good, staff pleasant and overall a nice place to stay. Definitely be back.

Disappointing visit this time. Usually excellent but the alarm in our room hadnt been reset after the last guest so after arriving back at gone midnight from a show at the O2 we were woken up butthe roomalarm going iff at 5.30am. Staffs response "well ask maintenance to look into it"

1st time for us but definately not our last! Our check in was was swift and friendly. Navid is a credit to the hotel. He was professional, helpful, friendly and nothing seemed to be too much trouble… such a lovely man. Good location for O2

Great hotel, close to the DLR and City Airport. But rooms soundproofed so you don't hear anything! Really nice comfortable room! Will go again!

Initially given a very tired, unventilated room, hanging heavy with years of cigarette smoke, in need of renovation, dinner over priced, breakfast very good but overall below the standard of most travel lodges I have been in and twice the price.

Wonderful stay… lovely view, Good friendly Staff. A Lush restaurant overlooking the airport. A/c was not at its best in 614 on the 17th night.

Great comfortable 3 night stay. Room a bit dated but fit for purpose. Breakfast very good and family friendly. Will definitely stay again.

Very nice and comfortable the room, a little far from the center of London but with public transport there is no problem.

Although our room looked a bit tired and dated, it was clean and functional. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it.

Excellent overall experience! This hotel in east London really showed it charm with the excellent pre booking communications, check in process, restaurant and bar on site, and great room. We stayed 4 days and found this place just exceeded my expectations. It is a bit out of the way to stay in London (Zone 3 tube stop), but when you have a rental car, you look for places that: 1. Offer free guest parking 2. Easy close access to the Underground (Tube) via DLR overground 3. Avoid the congestion fee staying in Zone 1 London central. I loved this hotel because they even held a parking space for me on the day of arrival. Even though we were late, they still held the parking spot! The front desk staff is super friendly and very professional. They genuinely made you feel welcome and helped with currency conversion when we first got there. The restaurant and bar are excellent — food is top notch, fresh and served with waitstaff who are willing to go the extra mile. Rooms are beautiful, clean and very quiet. Did not even hear one plane. Location is perfect if you are travelling into central London as well as attending events at the Excel Centre or O2 arena. There are some nearby restaurants within a mile (near the Royal Victoria DLR). What a lovely place to stay and I would definitely return again.

Awful place and very rude staff who can not speak English properly. Manger is rude and in helpful will NEVER STAY here again rooms are dated and in need of a refurb.

Great place if you are going to the EXCELL or even the O2 arena and the DLR is quite nearby if you want to venture into London centre. London airport is next door as well, but otherwise you are a bit far out and away from things, but if you drove there I guess it's not that bad. Hotel itself can't be faulted and the bar and restaurant were both fairly priced.

We only ate in the restaurant but please spare yourselves the experience. We are Italian and so was the cuisine meant to be but there was abolutely nothing authentic about it. We ordered a bottle of prosecco to be at the table on arrival and when we arrived, we were told they had sold out. Food was inedible and the wine list expensive. Service was not the best, the water ordered came after the wine and it was made clear to us they were closing making the whole expereience even worse. We don't like to criticise but I have worked in this industry for many years and am tired of the poor service often found. Suffice to say we will not be returning.
