Hostel

An unsecured hostel because it is not up to standard. We were, with my friend, the victim of a fire near our room (on the top floor). The fire alarm went off only after our room and hallway filled with smoke. So what's the point of installing a fire alarm if it goes off only after? It's a good thing we weren't sleeping.
In addition, our room had a small window on the ceiling (only with the help of the receptionist) and some had no windows. Since when does a hotel/hostel have no windows? It's a scandal.
In addition, the fire door was made of wood!? ️
This hostel is therefore definitely not secure and has put about 60 guests at risk.
After being evacuated, we stayed out for 5 hours without care. (A restaurateur was kind enough to welcome us around 3:30 a. M. )
We had 0 news and 0 information about what was going on and if ONLY we were going to get our stuff back.
Our room was unfortunately next to the flames, and we lost half of our belongings.
Fortunately, our stay will be refunded and compensation is also supposed to be refunded (This is the least of things).
This hostel is therefore to be really avoided until it is up to standard and can ensure the safety of their guests.

Excellent service with friendly capable staff. No problem too great. Good value for money.
Ideal location for Eurostar and visiting central London.

I requested an all female room, was guaranteed that it was all female, and now have a man sleeping right above me.

I was really apprehensive because it was so inexpensive, but figured if it was bad it was cheap enough I'd just go somewhere else. Wow, I was so impressed! Perfect location to get anywhere quickly. Not only close to Kings Cross and St. Pancras, only about a 15min walk to Euston station. Very clean and bathrooms look freshly remodeled. Small lockers in the room and clean, comfortable bedding (though the springs were a bit noticeable in the mattress). Would definitely visit again!

Good location, 3 minute walk away from Kings Cross makes this a great base for visiting London. Right on the busy street, so there is some noise late night and early morning from the road. But a great spot to stay.

BED BUGS! If you like prison facilities and sleeping to the sound and rattle of trains, this is the place for you. Pros: Location and the friendly girl at the reception.

Stayed one night in double room with bathroom. Great location Cleaning room OK, except for the walls that left a little to be desired. Bathroom cleaning OK, by the way you could see that it was modernized recently, it looked new. If you only need a bed to sleep it's fine, but don't expect a nice place. Strengths are the price and the location.

That the hotel room is small was clear to me at the start, but it's just tiny. Small, tiny, shabby and dirty. That describes it quite well. On the floor are indefinable things and under the bed it looks like never going to be sucked. The bed is also not quite clean. The mattresses are completely well located and you sleep on slatted rust.
Not to mention the toilets and shower. From the cleaning list it can be seen that it is usually only cleaned every 4/5 days. This is not acceptable with a bathroom with several people and two rooms.
Clearly it serves its purpose and the staff are friendly, but it is really not reasonable.
The only positive point is that, because of the security system, you really feel safe in this environment that resembles Kreuzberg.

Close to King's Cross, great location…
We took a private double room, ensuite. The room was free of windows, nothing dramatic.
Classic Hostel Breakfast: tea, coffee, bread and jams and the like.
The hostel does not provide towels, shampoo/conditioner etc. As in any hostel on the other hand.
The staff… I found it maybe a little chilly sometimes, but never rude.

Bad, dirty, horrible. Under the bed they never cleaned. There was plenty of chips, condoms, paper pieces etc. The staff don't give a damn. Plus they were wrong to deliver the room. It was in the reservation a double room with bunk bed with no windows 14 square meters instead there was a bedroom of just 6 meters with a double bed and a window. I've never been in such a bad place. There were no wipes, no place to hang clothes, if you don't come for breakfast soon you don't find anything to eat. Advise against.

For the price, it's okay. Conveniently located on Kings Cross, Underground is easy to reach. Reception is sometimes unstaffed, staff seem friendly as far as that. Breakfast is just enough. Rooms are very small, ours had no window and not even a table to put things down. All in all, it is recommended for short stays, but for more than one place to sleep it is not necessarily enough.

I can only say that it is a good place to sleep. The hostel is in a good central location, kings cross.

I don't recommend it highly. Made the payment we realized that they picked up €90 more than they had to and once we communicated the error they said they would provide. We have also sent a mail several times but still, more than three months after the event, we have not received compensation. Also the sheets in the room were dirty with blood and the cleanliness left a lot to be desired. Although the receptionist changed them immediately after reporting it and apologised. The only good thing is the location near the station which allowed for a functional transport.

It's fine for the price, but so incredibly cold in winter! We had the double room (two single beds as bunk bed). There was an intense draft from the door, which made the lower bunk hardly sleep. The showers are okay — do take flipflops, though. Overall I'd probably stay here again for price and location, but not in the winter.

The worst hostel I have seen. The rooms sound dirty and very cold in winter, so in my opinion in summer it must be very hot. For double rooms they are in basement so you hear the subway all the time. The breakfast is lame, just crumb bread and fake Nutella and not enough orange juice for everyone. And of course the dirty common is in the basement and dirty… Anyway, I can go on for a long time. Only good point the location.

The only pro is the security system which made us feel very safe. The staff was also friendly. Everything else didn't even meet the minimum standards that I expect from a hostel. Working at one myself I know what to expect. The room was tiny — which is bearable. However, it was very smelly and dust and whatnot piled up under the bed. There is not even a small table where one could put their belongings so they don't have to sit on the dirty floor. The shower was full of mould. And the water takes forever to get acceptably luke warm. The bed is very squeaky and the most disgusting thing was the duvet. Which was, I have to admit, covered by clean but also ripped linen. The duvet itself however was full of hair and whatnot.

The hostel itself is nice. But because my bed was in the cellar I could hear the tube all the time which was quite pain in the ass. When people were talking in the hallway it was like they are in my room having a conversation. But I have to say, staff was really friendly and I would go back just because of nice experience with them :)

Great value for Money plus includes breakfast.

Located almost in the center of London, the area is full of life, pleasant faces, courteous staff from the manager to the room staff, all excellent, the rooms very clean. I really recommend it for those who intend to visit London. An atmosphere of multinational!

This place is cheap, and you get what you pay for. The rooms are small and the one I stayed in, for three people, was cramped even with just two of us. But, this is Central London, let's be real. The service was good, but there is no lift if you have very bulky and large bags (as we did, and learnt the hard way). But again, the rates are low and you absolutely get what you pay for. For such a central location with easy access to all areas of London from King's Cross practically next door, this place is a steal. As for the heater in the room, make sure it's on overnight or you will freeze. Overall, however, pretty good.

We booked a double room with a private bathroom. Cleanliness is not the best, but acceptable. The rooms are very small, not too comfortable. The top though is the location, very close to the station, and with a thousand shops all around.

A very friendly hotel, small budget that offers the minimum but quite reasonable for its location.

It is a hostel, so don't come here with high expectations. I had a private room with shared bathroom. The mattress has seen better days and furniture very oldish. Showers are very old. The fact that these are shared areas some of the showers had water on the floor. A pair of sandals is a must to have a shower here. Price is ok and the location is great. Within few meters from king cross station.

We were welcomed to Keystone House Hostel by a lovely lady at reception who gave us loads of information about the Hostel and the discounts we could get in the local area. Our room was small, as we already knew it would be, but very clean. The toilets were only a couple of doors down from our room and also very clean. The beds were very comfortable however the traffic from the road was very loud, even with both windows closed. Keystone House Hostel is incredibly good value and only a two minute walk from Kings Cross. I would definitely recommend it.

J'avais choisi cette auberge pour son emplacement et effectivement, il est extrêmement bien placé: il se situe juste à côté de l'arrêt kings cross où passent plusieurs lignes de métro (Piccadilly, Northern et Victoria) ce qui facilite les déplacements à Londres. Il y a même 2 gares à côté dont une est directement connectée avec l'aéroport Gatwick. Par contre, le reste n'est vraiment pas terrible. Le personnel auquel j'ai eu affaire n'était pas des plus accueillants, leur salle commune est juste passable, leur petite cuisine n'est pas suffisamment équipée. Concernant les chambres, qui sont au sous-sol, celle dans laquelle j'ai été, il n'y avait qu'une ridicule petite aération, aussi ridicule que la taille de la chambre. Les clostrophobes devraient s'abstenir (vu que c'est au sous-sol, il n'y a pas de fenêtre). Quant aux bruits, je n'ai pas énormément entendu les voisins, par contre, je savais exactement quand passait le métro… Pour couronner le tout, j'ai dû payer £5 par valise pour l'avoir laissée à l'auberge après le check-out pour pouvoir continuer à visiter la ville, notamment le British museum qui n'autorise pas les valises (pour des raisons de sécurité) … Personellement, je ne retournerai pas dans cette auberge si je devais revenir à Londres.

Clean comfy beds, friendly staff, Wi-Fi, basic bathrooms, the Wi-Fi doesn't work super well in the common space (basement) but is a pretty basic hostel. About a block away from kings cross station where you can get anywhere and there's a ton of restaurants close by.

Stayed 1 night as getting an early train from Kings Cross. Chose room with double bed and en-suite bathroom, basic room, comfortable bed.

Very good hostel with good atmosphere, the only downside is that the showers are two floors below our room.

Nice Enough place. Friendly staff. Great location. Clean. Very expensive and when you have a large backpack the hallways to carry it upstairs are very small.

The room was large and the toilet facility's are of high standard, this was ruined by poor cleaning and very loud party travelers in the room above,

Nice room, nice service. Room much better than expected. A shame they do not have towel and gel service for visitors, and this costs 5 pounds.

Fun people, the room was somewhat hot and loud. May be hard to sleep but if you're tires enough you'll be fine. Good times, would stay again.

Had a fantastic experience here this was my second time staying here I brought my family, lovely staff room was just what we wanted,

Had a horrible experience at Keystone House. Booked a private 3 bed room with ensuite (which was essentially the same price as any London hotel) purely for the location at kings cross. When we arrived the room had been double booked. We were made to wait until after midnight for another staff member to solve the problem. No applogy was given. We were assured we would be refunded for that night, which never eventuated. Initially we were given the key to an alternate room which we unlocked and found other people and their belongings inside (lucky we arent thieves…). Instead we were given a tiny shoebox room with carpet underneath the lino in the bathroom — it smelt like mould and was almost unbearable. At midnight we were told to take the room or leave straight away. The man at reception offered to carry my bag and dropped it down the stairs, cracking a wheel and breaking the back. When asking to speak to a manager she seemed to "never be there… "
Another poor staff member tried to help us, but he was alone at the reception on his second shift. Be warned!

We need a little more cleaning, everything else is excellent.

Great Central London location for a quick visit. Everything was clean and efficient. Only downside was the room had no window.

Brilliant for a quick stopover for a small group. Facilities as expected for a hostel, great location and good price.

8 of us stayed here. Decent room, decent bed, decent facilities (though get up early if you don't want a cold shower). Friendly, helpful staff. Would stay again.

Professional staff, very close to the underground. Comfortable and safe environment.

Location is good, close to Kings Cross train station, which allows you to get around London with ease Rooms are basic. We stayed in a private room with a bathroom. Very basic. Service: each service attendant has assisted with each question we have had.

Very friendly staff and checking in/out was easy. The room (a twin en suit) was perfect for the price paid; it was clean and the beds were comfortable. Air conditioning in the room was a big plus. Lockers were also provided in the room but it needed your own lock. My sleep was interrupted at times due to noise but this is unavoidable in a busy hostel in central London, ear plugs were available at the front desk. For the price this is a brilliant hostel, I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to friends/family.

Nice place. Confortable, clean, and fortunately I have not lost anything. Good for who want to feel streetlyfe style of the metropoly I think.

Nice place and very good for those who are willing to visit the popular places of central london. Staff is v cooperative and give there full attention and support to enjoy your trip.

Had phone charger and headphones stolen and staff told me that it was my fault that it was stolen. I would sooner walk the streets than stay here again The receptionist was terrible with me and the rooms horrible without good lockers. The bathroom was horrible too. The worst staff ever! … no customer service skill at all.

This is a terrible hostel with apathetic, worthless staff. Our tiny room smelled like rot and the carpets had huge stains on them, we had a miserable night's sleep due to rude dormmates and the lack of any courtesy curfew, and in the morning we found black mildew growing on the walls behind a bench they'd placed probably to hide it rather than fix it. I had respiratory problems for three weeks after staying here. And what did the staff do when we told them about the rot and mold problem? Shrug their shoulders and go back to texting without saying a word. Attempts to contact the management has resulted in no reply. Awful rooms and awful customer service. Stay away from the Keystone House!

Everything is a bit tight, but clean. Our room had a private bathroom which is also very modern and was clean. The Breakfast was simple but OK.

Well located all by being affordable for London. Clean and quiet. Note that there are no towels (although it is a hostel but we forgot it. ) and no free Wi — Fi in the rooms.

Nice location and not so noisy. Rather decent interior. The privacy is sort of maintained between beds and beds. Easy for all sorts of activities since it's close to the station.

Seems like a nice place. We booked 3 nights but got held up due to car brakedown and gave them a days notice, but they wouldn't comp us the day we missed. When we got there the room was occupied by a staff member using the room. Nice man at the counter, but still wouldn't make a concession for the use of the room that we payed for. Wouldn't recommend.

I was 6 weeks in the Hostel, I found it great.
