The Jericho Hotel Hotel

Very convenient little hotel, and cheaper than other options this close to central Oxford. Quiet and clean. No parking though.

There is little parking but paid parking is within walkable distance. We were lucky and able to overnight the car staying til 10:00 am. The included breakfast was very good. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Very lovely place to stay, very close to the city centre, friedly staff, the owner is one of the best man I ever met very kind… the price for accommodation is reasonable and actually not expensive for the position where the hotel is. (almost city centre). To the hotel belongs a Lebanese restaurant Al-shami witch provide the best authentic fresh food. HIGHLY recommended!

Although not so bad, the price is well above what it offers: the rooms are inside all comfortable and heated, but everything is very old (though not ruined). The bathroom is quite comfortable except for the shower which is very soft.
The worst thing about it is the service: they just give shampoo and soap, you have to order the hairdryer and there is no reception ever. Breakfast is very incomplete: there is no sweet or fruit option.
The location is not bad but it is not the best: you are one kilometer from the Carfax tower, which is the landmark of the city.

Absolute Dump, and a rip-off. Since my Luggage was forgotten by the Airline, I had to take me at the Hotel. On the phone have been identified as the price of 125 £ and then on arrival, were required at once for 195 £. I told the owner on the phone I need, concerning my delayed baggage a place to Stay and this was exploited freezing! The room was old and not really inviting and the shower and toilet were on the corridor. For 195 pounds, you can expect at least a private bathroom and toilet! Never again, I would go in this "Hotel"!

Friendly staff, quiet surroundings as it's a little way it of town (only a 10 minute walk) and a reasonable price. The double bed I was in was comfy and there were even USB ports in the mains plug sockets. Down sides are the bathroom I had was pretty bad, flaking paint, no plug in the sink (because turning on a tap filled the basin and took 1 minute to empty). Must be something wrong with the pluming). The shower took 5 minutes to finally control the temperature and after 5 minutes in there, I was standing in 4 inches of water that was slowly filling the shower floor, another plumbing issue, it was filling faster than draining). Overall only 3 stars.

I stayed here several times. Always quiet, clean and comfortable, and not expensive for the location. It's above the Al-Shami restaurant, so you can get a delicious Lebanese breakfast too! Doesn't have any parking.

I found it's a decent place for my travel, however, hair dryer is not a basic facility of each "room". Though, it seems you can ask for it. Moreover, their restaurant is marvellous!

I only found The Richmond via a recommendation from a friend, and I am very grateful! The Richmond is a lovely hotel, in a great location, which is *very*-reasonably priced (given the exorbitant prices for hotels in Oxford). It is certainly *far* better than the compatibly-priced AirBnB locations I found. The location was within walking distance of Market Street (about 10 minutes), and all of the Oxford Colleges (that I visited). I was impressed that — given it's central location — the surrounding street were very quiet, so I was able to sleep well with the window open all night. The rooms are very nice, clean, and also contain a desk, wardrobe, TV, ensuite bathroom (with shower), and mini-fridge with a freezer compartment (at least, my room did — I think all of these are standard) — which was a great help for me! While I was unable to make use of the included breakfast, what I saw (while rushing by) looked great. The staff was always very helpful, quick to respond, and very welcoming. I will certainly stay here again, next time I visit Oxford, and I have already recommended this hotel to a friend.
