Good food and good service.

Dirty dusty rooms. Long black hair under towel radiator. Coffee cups were dirty. Had to change towels due to dubious brown stains. Given another dirty towel with another brown stain. Mattress lumpy and hard. Pillows equivalent to concrete. Breakfast greasy and nauseating. Owners friendly though. And setting was beautiful but not worth £115 and would never ever recommend ever. So disappointed.

Stayed here for 1 night as staying for a friends wedding nearby. Amazing welcoming owners who went above and beyond to collect us and drop us to the train station as we were having difficulty with taxis, beautiful light and spacious rooms with everything you needed to hand. Beautiful breakfast and tranquil idilic surroundings. Will hopefully be visiting again in the near future. Thankyou ☺️

Great value, very friendly staff, ideal as a starting point for visiting the Cotswolds.

This hotel did not live up to our expectations at all. The photos on the website are nothing like what the place actually looked like. The place was being renovated and there was no mention of this when we booked. The room we booked was advertised as a deluxe double room but was very basic and had damage to the walls. The breakfast though advertised as full English had no meat products at all. Very very disappointed. Would not reccomend.

My husband and I stayed here for a one night stay and added breakfast to our room booking. On arrival the gentleman owner was working hard in the courtyard as the building is currently having renovation work done which the owners are doing themselves. Really pleasant chap shown us our room which was number 6, very light and airy, bedding was fresh and clean, bathroom spotless but not fully completed, tiling still to be finished under window but brilliant shower pressure and hot water. The bedroom itself was quirky with some unusual touches but the newly laid carpet needed hoovering, mirror behind the door near the small window was thilthy and needed a good clean. As the room is a barn converion it was quaint but lacked in finishing touches. Door was not fitted correctly with a huge gap at the bottom. Now for the disappointment was our breakfast. We went through in the morning at 8am was told we could sit anywhere. On choosing a table the table cloth was stained not clean. We was told to help ourselves this was the shocking part… fried eggs already out on a plate just sitting there, then I saw silver containers with lids on, inside these seperate containers were baked beans, fresh tomatoes, so called scrambled egg, very tasteless limp hash browns, mushrooms full of grease. When I said where is the sausages and bacon the owner apologised saying they didn't have any as there delivery not due till Tuesday 3rd July.

Great, clean, quiet, dog friendly room in an awesome location, just up the hill from Burford so perfect for exploring the Cotswolds. The rooms were really nicely decorated and the shower pressure was the best I’ve had outside of London! Really nice family running the place, we’ll be back.

Stopped after it had been refurbished, perfect location to get around in the Cotswolds, Bourton and Stow only 10 mins away. Quiet and peaceful and rooms were decorated beautifully. Wi-Fi also very useful. Will definitely be stopping again especially once the restaurant re-opens later this year :) Hosts couldn't have been more helpful and friendly!

Getting withdrawal symptoms.

Just come back from a night away, cannot fault the location, food and hospitality… Bill is an amazing host, shows each guest to there room no matter what time of day or what's he's doing, makes a cracking breakfast and even remembers guest orders from the previous day. Will definitely go back again.

Fabulous Sunday Lunch. At long last a proper home cooked meal, great veggies, tender melt in your mouth meat, tasty and plenty of all. My friend and I are so impressed. Staff friendly and helpful will definitely go back for more. What a change to have a real wholesome lunch and not any of this nouveau chefi crap.
