Myself and my partner have been here a coupe of times now and we have no complaints the food, service and atmosphere is always impeccable. keep up the great work.

Worst food I have ever had. Frozen, cold roast potatoes. Only got 3 tiny potatoes. Did not eat one. Frozen veg. One slice of beef. Literally Blue, not medium rare but still mooing on the plate. My daughter had duck, that seemed to be steamed and not pan fried. No sauce to accompany it, again cold and rubbery. My husband and mother in law had the turkey, looked bad and tasked just as bad. That was also steamed. We all sent our food back. Uneaten. I even said please don't bring me the desert. I told the waiter when he asked, what I thought of the food, all of the above. His words were our sister company opens back in Jan you can go back there then. SHOCKING! I may have just thrown my money in the bin. I am so sad the the la Bouchon we booked was closed and can not believe they are part of the same group. Christmas Dinner absolutely ruined.

We enjoyed a lovely family lunch yesterday in beautiful surroundings, the service was excellent, staff very attentive and the food delicious. Definitely recommend and return in the near future. Thank you all for making our first visit a memorable one!

We had the boat ride up the river with afternoon tea. It was really lovely the trip and the tea was delicious. Highly recommended.

Our children kindly treated us to a luxury afternoon tea for my birthday. The savoury selection was very fresh, tasty, and imaginative — the cakes absolutely delicious — one of the best afternoon teas we’ve experienced. The service from start to finish was welcoming, friendly and efficient. Would definitely recommend your hotel and brasserie.

Had a lovely meal. Not overly busy due to climate. Would recommend.

Went for Valentines evening on the Saturday. Food was lovely but the waiting was ridiculous. Half an hour between courses when it's a five course meal is not really acceptable. Also, they forgot to take off the deposit we paid so had to be credited. Luckily I remembered before we left…

This is my dads favourite restaurant so for his 70th birthday we did a surprise meal. The staff were amazing so helpful. Food was 10 out of 10 and the cake was just what my dad loves. A big thank you to Stacey who assisted us on my dads special day and all you did thank you.

5 star! We had my baby shower on Sunday and I can honestly say how wonderful it was! We had it in the orangery (looked stunning). Everyone was so impressed the staff could not have been more helpful, professional and just totally wonderful. Had so many compliments about the venue. Thank you all so much. I would definitely come back if we ever needed another event. So accommodating and cannot recommend enough. Cannot wait y go back. Debbie xxx.

We went lunch for my partners birthday from the minute we entered to the moment we left we felt really special Food was superb great selection of drinks The staff were very attentive and must overheard that it was a Maureens birthday and gave her a very thoughtful cocktail and happy birthday with a candle We hadn’t booked for a birthday lunch but they made it very special for her Thanjs.

Their service is second to none and the food is amazing.

Just had an Amazing 1 Night stay Birthday treat for Our Friends 65th Birthday, they were overjoyed with their Room the Food and Friendly Efficient Staff the Experience was Outstanding — So much so We will definitely Return again soon — Highly Recommended.

Excellent venue, food and staff, booked for my daughters birthday to include boat trip, which was thoroughly enjoyed by all. This was our 1st time to Le Bouchon and will definitely not be our last.

Hated it as they said I would have had a job if I had gone in even thogh they said they would check if I had arrived but not even a check to see if I had arrived but they didnt.

Apparently they accept your booking (or feedback form) as authorisation to sign in (Opt in) to their mailing lists — WTF!?!?
We didn't leave feedback, but certainly will do (online) now. Roll on the 25th May and the ICO can have a field day with spammers like this!

Regular visitor. Food very good although quite rich. A lighter option would be welcome for those on low carb or restricted diets if diabetic but would still like to be spoiled.

Excellent food and great service… A real treat. Every mouthful is delicious… And really good value and quality… We were visiting friends who live locally… Sadly we are not but will definitely visit again if we are in the area.

Great restaurant. My company go here each year for our Christmas meal (50 staff) and they manage to fit us all in comfortably. The staff are always very friendly, nice bar area and good food. Toilets nice and clean but one weakness if not much parking space. Otherwise, an excellent place to eat for formal or less formal gatherings.

Could not recommend it enough both as a hotel and a restaurant. Had a fantastic 40th birthday weekend. The hospitality team could not do enough, the rooms are well appointed and the food is fabulous, including the afternoon tea.

Had a great Sunday lunch with friends. Food fantastic as always. Will return.

Delightful ambience. Staff friendly and efficient. Sunday lunch value for money although could not detect the 'smoked' in trout starter! Have dined at Le Benais several times recently but Le Bouchon definitely has the edge.

Lovely meal and looked after very well. Chose it as a venue for my daughter's 30th birthday celebrations yesterday and couldn't fault it.

Celebrated a family birthday for 16 people and enjoyed a DELICIOUS Sunday roast, one of the best we'd ever had, all served promptly and by friendly and helpful staff. Everything was perfectly organised and we all really enjoyed it. Great for a family party and the food was truly delicious.

If you want to try the best food in Maldon then come to le bouchon the food is the best I've had in Essex the staff are very switched on and attentive to your needs special thanks to Tim who made us feel very welcome and made sure we were looked after by all the staff he's a great credit to the restaurant! Attended a wedding breakfast at La Bouchon Brasserie and was very impressed by the service and the food. Although the write ups about La Bouchon were good, wedding breakfasts are normally a disappointment. This however was not the case. The quality and presentation of the food proved to be excellent. A young serving staff were attentive, knowledgeable and very helpful. If you are looking for a wedding venue in the area, you could do a lot worse.

Have been here a few times and this unfortunately was not our best visit, the service was ok but very slow! Had the Sunday menu and 2 out of the 4 roast were not available, the Sunday menu that was online was not the same on the day there were meals that were not on the menu! The roasts were average the roast lamb was slightly under cooked and the vegetables came half way through the meal when we had nearly finished. The were desserts that were on the menu that were not available to order, wasn't overly busy either! If looking to come to the restaurant check for spiders running over the table and recommend coming during the week rather then a Sunday lunch!

We took our parents here for their 50th Wedding Anniversary for an afternoon "high tea" in July 2015. Wow, this place is fantastic. Staff are very attentive, and the food was just gorgeous. Go, you will not be disappointed. (Note. The owners also arranged for a private boat trip down the river in a small covered boat, that too was fantastic).

Brilliant food, staff are very attentive. Only down sides are that the drinks are very slow at arriving, when the place is busy you can get forgotten about and the restaurant is extremely warm! Other than that fantastic! Food and cocktails are some of the best that I have tasted and staff are lovely. Much smarter inside than I had thought, definitely not a casual place. Will definitely be going again and have recommended to everyone I know. Their scallops and pork belly is the best!
