Lovely & clean rooms. Nice breakfast & the reception staff were very friendly and helpful.

Had a really enjoyable, comfortable four day stay here for work purposes.
The room was immaculate and when a small issue arose it was handled quickly and satisfactorily.
The staff were super friendly, helpful and not fazed by drunken Scotsmen.
Very well situated for Harlow Town Centre and the food is as to be expected in this kind of hotel.
I look forward to coming back again soon.

Rooms would skin you. Need ear protection for the room heater. Not be rushing back.

My friend stayed at this hotel a few weeks back, I went to pick them up and was only there for 11 minutes and have received a £60 parking ticket! I am disgusted! I have emailed a complaint to holiday inn customer services a few days ago and my email has been ignored
Do Not Stay Here… parking is a tiny car park joke!

Literally the worst place I could have ever stayed, will never be coming here again, beds were unclean and rooms were messy, lobby constantly smelt of drugs, (weed to be percific) also, no parking even though we payed upfront for parking so we thought we would have been garanteed parking, when we parked somewhere else we had a fine of £70 because none of the staff told us that we couldn’t park there, manager attitude was “it’s not my problem” and didn’t even speak to us personally as upset customers, staff were rude and had attitude, was meant to be a lovely stay but this hotel completely ruined it, Wi-Fi also doesn’t work when your in your room, which meant I couldn’t keep in contact with my family, honestly disgusting service worst I’ve ever been too.

I'm an IHG member, and I ordered a double room via the IHG app.
Arrived late at night having flown in from a 3 day conference abroad, tired to be greeted with a twin room of single beds, and no option to exchange.
Parking charge was waived (I have never been charged parking at other IHG hotels) and was offered some extra member points. Poor compensation for what will be a crap night's sleep.

Clean rooms and adequate breakfast. Nice showers and access to irons. Comfy beds.

The receptionist was great fun and the hotel was clean and fresh with a modern feel. My room was spacious with a large bed, sofa and shower room. A very pleasant stay.

Friendly staff. Good free breakfast. A small menu for an evening meal, and a small bar available to enable you to enjoy a drink with your meal. Within walking distance of many shopping and dining options. My only complaint would be that the beds are a bit more firm than ones in the US.

Stayed here for our friend's wedding, sadly the room had a major issue with the plumbing in the bathroom, the toilet kept flushing constantly and squeaking throughout the night, needless to say it kept us both awake. Thankfully when we went to the reception desk the were very helpful and changed our room as they were unable to repair it due to no maintenance team in at weekends. Other than the squeaky toilet the rooms were clean, well presented and good size rooms.

Breakfast definately improving. Only let down really is the orange juice yuck. Pastries (as well as croissants) would be lovely. Beds comfy. Rooms very clean. Staff polite and efficient. Bar lacking slices of lime for Corona. Apart from that lovely visit. Will definately come again xxx.

Very good for the price. Comfortable no frills room with very comfy beds quiet too. Only downside was the small car park. It was full so we had to use the multi storey across the road not ideal when all your holiday luggage is inside and you can't see the car from the room. Otherwise very good.

The room was much better than I expected. Very spacious and clean. A few marks on the walls but that was not a problem to me. Was able to get parking as well for £3 a day. Highly recommend Holiday Inn Express Harlow.

We were booked by a fire at the airport here. The staff was very friendly and accommodating, the rooms clean and modern. The breakfast was good and they even made us eat despite being late. I would go back when I'm nearby.

Excellent location, nice and clean room, delicious breakfast.

My father and I spent a week at the Holiday Inn Express in Harlow back in Oct 2016 and had enjoyed our stay there, breakfast was great, staff were really nice, had no complaints, we may be visiting UK this year and certainly will stay there again if we decide to visit the area. Great location, in a shopping centre and main Bus station right there, can hop on a bus, Train station is a mile away. I would recommend to friends and others to stay there if visiting the Harlow area.

Small, but reasonable Holiday Inn Express in central Harlow, need to make Virgin Broadband more liberal and user friendly.

Quiet, relaxing and comfortable, always clean and the staff are friendly. The showers are great with plenty of hot water and the price includes a good breakfast. And if you need to get up before they start serving you can help yourself to a continental style breakfast. And there are few and coffee making facilities in the room.

Rude staff, over charging at bar, rooms not ready they expecting lads to share double bed, toilet seats broken, cold water just what you need after a 14 hour shift? total shambles.

Don’t get the comments about the staff, they were fine, did there job and were polite. Rooms were spotless, food was adequate in the evening and breakfast was as expected. Overall good hotel and I stay away a lot for work.

Wasn't planning to come here but got stranded in the snow and this was closest empty hotel. Nice staff, new looking hotel, rooms are clean and comfortable. The room heating is struggling a little with the sub zero temperatures, but it is not too cold. If I was planning to come here I would be happy to use this place.

The rooms etc are clean and good value for money. But the food during this visit was atrocious. I had fish and chips and the fish was encrusted in a seriously hard burnt batter and the fish inside was dry.

Pretty awful. Rubbish staff Saturday night when we checked in. It was like talking to a soulless shadow being. There was a power cut and they both just fumbled around pushing buttons hoping no one would notice. The room looked tidy but when we went to have a shower we realised the towels were gross. One smelt like cigarettes and the other had what looked like a foundation stain on it. There was also a teaspoon left in the shower. Why? Breakfast was fine but not many options.

This place is just so convenient. It gets 3 stars as it’s nothing fancy and some staff are great whereas others aren’t. The noise at night can be annoying but otherwise it does the job.

Thought the hotel had gone downhill a bit. The heating control in our room didn't work and we were given an inefficient heater. However, what really upset us was, we wanted to stay an extra night. As IHG members we are supposed to be given ' best price,. The two nights we had booked were £55+ each night. However, Holiday Inn wanted £93+ for a third night. As we were in Harlow for a funeral and explained this, Holiday Inn would not budge on price. I think we will be looking elsewhere in future. Also, one of our bath towels was badly stained.

Comfortable accommodation in the heart of Harlow shopping hub. Friendly and helpful staff, good breakfast included in the price. Watch out for the car park surcharge when you check out.

Nice hotel. Nice and clean. Friendly staff. Car parking is poor. Good breakfast. But area is 70's concrete jungle. Lacks night life. Just needs a nice hotel putting somewhere nicer.

Enjoyed my stay, service was friendly and the rooms were clean and tidy when we arrived. Would recommend and would stay again.

There is a tiny car park at rear of the hotel or a multi storey which offers discount rates if you are staying. Unfortunately signage for this is not great, at night it is very poorly lit and difficult to navigate from the car park to the hotel if you have bags and kids etc. We had two main issues whilst staying here, firstly the mattress on the bed was poor. Not just uncomfortable but the springs had seen better days meaning two people struggled to get comfortable. We had a sofa bed for my son who was unable to sleep on it due to it being so uncomfortable. It was a thin pad on top of sofa springs which he kept sinking in to. Our second problem was that our room backed on to the multi storey car park which seemed to be the hive of activity for teenagers. They relentlessly drove and revved their cars and scooters round and round the car park till around 3am leaving us with very little sleep from noise, being uncomfortable and with the added worry of parking our car in the car park as advised by the hotel which was being used as a race track. Luckily we have no reason to stay there again, for a hotel that charges the same as Premier inn I would expect a similar level of comfort and for them to take a bigger responsibility in ensuring the car park that they have dealings with be safer and more approachable.

The room was pleasant, clean and had Very comfortable beds. A good choice for Breakfast, which was very tasty. We originally missed the car park entrance, £3 per night is reasonable. It's a public car park.

Clean, modern and pleasant rooms. Friendly and helpful staff. Good breakfast included in the price. Parking is a bit limited and contractors' vans can fill up spaces including disabled ones, so get there early. But car park has a keypad on barrier so reasonably secure. Recommended.

Nice room good parking nice food. Only let down was the seating in the bar not very comfortable so couldn't really relax at the end of the day. Would recommend and go again.

The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The en suite is also, the shower in the double and sofa bed room is also large. If you are a light sleeper ask for a quiet room as lots of rooms overlook the active police station and are on the main street for the hospital meaning there are lots of sirens up and down. Breakfast isn't much to go on but is the same as any Holiday Inn Express — No bacon. The staff are friendly and welcoming. Lots of channels on the TV in the room.

Good quality for reasonable price.

Location is OK. Rooms are generally clean. Staff are friendly. Internet is awful. Overnight noise is annoying. Don't know if it's the external AC units or washing machines but it vibrates throughout the hotel making it difficult to sleep and I have stayed in about 10 different rooms in this hotel and the noise and vibrations are the same. It's difficult to get a good night sleep.

Modern hotel good breakfast and facilities good value for money.

Standard budget chain hotel. Nice clean rooms, with Wi-Fi throughout. Parking at the hotel is limited, but the hotel has a deal with the public car park next door. Right on edge of Harlow shopping centre.

Clean, colourful hotel, staff friendly. Evening meal in restaurant surprisingly good, room spacious and well appointed, excellent value for money with breakfast included in the price.

What a pleasure to be able to say we have just experienced exceptional service from the staff at this centrally located and recently refurbished Holiday Inn Express. Having encountered difficulties with our room being very close to a large group of foreign children staying in the hotel, we were immediately offered an alternative room away from the group booking, which turned out to be even better than the original room we had. Special thanks to Sam in the breakfast team and the Manager on duty on Saturday morning. Room Tip: All rooms very good — just ask if there are any groups of children staying when you are.
