Excellent small hotel. Very clean. Rooms nicely decorated and furnished. Staff polite and helpful. Excellent breakfast. Near to beach and town centre. Free car parking. I have no hesitation in recommending.

Our first stay at The Chudleigh and it will not be the last! The owners Carol and Peter were very welcoming and catered for our every need to make sure our stay was as comfortable as possible. Our room was spacious and the bed was extremely comfortable. Very well equipped. Plenty of towels, tea, coffee etc. Little extras provided too. Cleaned to a high standard. Peter’s breakfast was amazing. Full English with not a spot of grease in sight. Best fried bread ever! Staff were so lovely and helpful too. Highly recommend to anyone wishing a break in Clacton. Thank you for a lovely weekend Carol and Peter!

Owners are lovely and the room is very clean and refurbished. I will definitely stay again.

Lovely hotel, great location, near the town centre.

A great Bed and Breakfast, quality rooms which will rival some 4 star hotels.

This is a lovely place to stay and would recommend to anyone. Rooms were clean, very comfortable beds, lovely little touches and a wonderful breakfast. Hosts and staff were friendly and helpful what more can you ask.

Quaint old fashioned b and b in the nicest possible sense. The owners were lovely people who just couldn't do enough for you. Catered to my awkward diet of gluten free vegetarianism. Provided me with a twin room at no extra cost to allow me to stay on the ground floor as they had no lift and I find stairs a challenge. They found a perching stool from somewhere for in the shower for me. As they were both in their 80s themselves, I think they went above and beyond the call of duty in providing for my disability. I almost felt guilty for accepting all the help considering their age. They were considerably more sprightly than me however. They are very particular about how things are done, which could be irritating to some people but is just their manner. Good bed Good breakfast Good people Thank you from me and Tich A photo of what is a small and inconspicuous notice about towels that I didn't notice until the night before Tich and I were leaving, when it fell off the wall. So if staying at the Chudleigh try and get in the habit straight away with your towels. Plus the pier under an ominous sky A selection of the many gulls that have made Clacton their home and trained holidaymakers to buy bags of chips with which to feed them. Some of the wind generators that lurk off the Sunshine Coast.

Can't fault it, the room is spacious, the bed comfortable, plenty of tea a coffee in room and they leave bottled water in room. The breakfasts are delicious, plenty of cereals to choose from, more than enough items to opt for in the full English with toast and a variety of jams, would highly recommend The Chudleigh.

Excellent hotel and locatiin, very friendly owners, would recommend and will be staying again when back in the area.

What can I say! We have had the best time here :) its been so relaxing knowing at the end of a great day at clacton that we have a very comfortable, very clean and warm room to come home to. Breakfast was first class food and service. Thank you all at The Chudleigh :)

Excellent Family hotel located near the beaches — cleanliness — comfort — helpfulness.

Everything they do is perfect! From checking in to checking out, every aspect of a stay at The Chudley has always been just right. The rooms are always clean. The bathroom finished to a high standard (and toilet paper of quality shows just how much attention to detail goes in to the running of the B&B). The complimentary items in the room include REAL coffee and Green & Black's Chocolate (although I forgot to eat that this time! ) The service at breakfast surpasses that of many a restaurant that I have frequented. And to top it all off there is a large scale reverb going on (non of which you can tell is happening) to make the rooms even better and the make the lounge a grand place to relax in. Although I'm not in the area often, The Chudleigh is my first choice when I'm staying out.
