Only stopped for a beer but seemed nice, clean and the bar staff were very friendly.

The service from staff was good, the inside of the pub was clean and tidy, went to sit outside, rather surprised that the grass had not been mown for months, most of the chairs and tables had moss, bird poo and dirty ash trays on them, decking area/patio needs a good sweep and clean and the lovely view across the field is blocked by a hedge that needs a good trim. Shame, as this was a lovely place to sit and watch the world go by. Not sure what’s happened at this pub but it’s going downhill.

We were looking for new places to get a Sunday lunch/dinner — my neighbour recommended The Manor. We would certainly recommend you give it a go … but do try to book a table for. They were good enough to give us a table with the option of roast dinner for three — normally you need to book for the Sunday roast. There was no roast turkey available, so I opted to have Salmon from the menu instead, (there are just a few menu choices/alternatives). As a family we happily share "tasters" of our meals with each other. We all came to the conclusion that the meat, vegetables & Yorkshire puds were delicious with the roast potatoes being exceptionally tasty! In conclusion, a great Sunday roast! My salmon was also absolutely delicious, (a tad overcooked but the taste was so good I can forgive that! ). We shall indeed return, next time making sure we book a table — I am looking forward to having their roast turkey dinner.

We came in and met with A Paula with a view to holding our forthcoming wedding here, she promised to get back to us with a package and price. We never heard from her and our messages were never returned.
Room was grubby, grounds a mess and was shown an room which had not been made up.
No worries though as we have now booked The Kings in Christchurch! They actually replied to our called and sent us a package with prices.
I do not recommend this place.

Very nice food was delicious but long wat for afters but thay was Very busy all in all very nice.

Had a nights stay. Staff where very nice upon arrival. Ate dinner here and had an amazing burger. Not too badly priced. Room was big and beds comfortable. Little run down in places but on the whole a very enjoyable stay. Tori was lovely and very helpful. Would definitely stay again.

Large venue. Great for birthday party's or large family gatherings.

Had an absolute fabulous evening at the Manor last night. Almost 50 of us, a large number to cater for, the food was amazing. The service was excellent, so many compliments from our party and some have booked for Sunday lunch. Big thank you to Aaron, Gary and the team for looking after us so well, we will be in touch to organise another event very soon xx.

Great food, generous portions at a decent price. They happily accommodated the dietary restrictions of one of our party changing the dish to suit his needs. Will definitely go again.

Enough parking space off road. Comfy bed. Lots of storage space. Reasonably basic breakfast. Nice feel overall. Friendly staff.

Rooms are ok. Doors could block a little more sound (like the walls).

Lovely friendly staff. Great breakfast and a lovely Sunday lunch. Picturesque building and lovely comfortable rooms, but mind your head in the "beach hut" room.

We had our wedding reception at The Manor and I can honestly say it was all perfect. Nothing was to much trouble for them. Paula (the wedding planner) was amazing, going above and beyond what we expected. All the staff were friendly, helpful and just made you feel so comfortable.
The food was amazing, all of our guests commented on how lovely the carvey was, with many booking to go back for sunday lunch the week after.
We booked all the rooms at The Manor for our wedding guest and they all had a lovely stay.
The bridal suit is very nice and getting ready there the morning of the wedding with my bridesmaids was great. Plenty of room for us all.
I would highly recommend The Manor if you are looking for a wedding venue.
Thank you to Paula and all the staff for making our day so stress free and enjoyable.

Stayed the night in the "genius" room and it was worth way more than the £45 I was charged, huge room and bathroom was sparkling.

The whole team are professional caring the manager Gary was so attentive to my needs during may stay 10 out 10 x.

28/08/2016 Just had the most disappointing Sunday lunch at this venue. Vegetables not cooked and i, m a fan of aldunate. Roast potatoes were as hard to cut as the crackling of the pork belly {probably reheated }. Eaten at many better places, but you have to try new venues. Wont be returning.

Awful experience. The chef shouts at his staff in front of customers referring to them as lazy bastards, yes lazy bastards! Potatoes were rock hard and tasteless. The service on the other hand is comical. Teenage staff that aren't adequately trained yet expected to deliver. If you fancy a roast, save your money & go eat pigeon meat at a Toby carvery. Great location, amazing interior decoration yet the entire set up Is tragically let down by the vulgar rude chef & headless chickens running around calling themselves waiters and waitresses. Shameful…

We stayed at the hotel and eat in the restaurant but the service was poor which was a shame as the venue is good. The food was below standard and the staff didn't care about the level of service they were providing to guests.

Absolutely fantastic food. The carvery was possibly the best I've had all year. Unfortunately the customer service didn't meet that same level of quality. The waiting staff needed to be a little more attentive and on the ball to really nail the experience.

Awful. My son took me her for Mother's day and we chose the carvery. The lamb was dripping blood, the potatoes were greasy, the vegetables were practically raw and the gravy like water. I did tell the owner when she came round asking how our meal was. She went off somewhere but never came back. On top of this, a random red wine was added to our bill. When I disputed this with the man at the bar (who had been slagging off the local regulars to other members of staff throughout our time there) I also told him about the carvery. He didn't really respond. Appalling. The only good thing about the visit was a very nice cup cake which were being handed out to mothers.

Fantastic food (honestly it was ridiculously good), good service, reasonable prices and that's just the restaurant. Our room was lovely, warm and spacious as well as being very reasonably priced. I would highly recommend it.

Food was fantastic (Sunday carvery) and staff were very nice and friendly. Obviously not cheap but worth it for a classy meal out. Lovely building and playground too.

Was an excellent Sunday carvery… Probably one of the best! We did have to leave pretty quick tho as another table was booked in.

Arrived last minute for their amazing sunday carvery. Tey were extremely busy but made us feel welcome as they managed to find us somewhere to sit. Food is absolutely fantastic and the quality of the meat is superb. Very happy to be local to this place.

My stay at this hotel was absolutely lovely. Friendly staff, great food and a comfortable, clean and fresh room! Not many hotels can get that close to the home feeling!

Excellent hotel and restaurant, nice rooms, nice food however staff although very friendly seemed rushed and disorganised. For example forgetting toast, spoons and sugar for the breakfast, and taking 10 minutes to find a staff member and start the computer to check in.

Decent food, great service.

This is local for me and I love the place. Don't travel miles to try it but if you're in the area it's well worth a visit.

Went on a bank holiday, service was brilliant and food was excellent! Would even recommend to families.
