Great place to eat or just for a few drinks, great atmosphere. Brilliant terrace with retractable roof for those hot sunny days. Dogs welcome so great spot after a good beach walk.

Super funky place, great for an evening chill with drinks and friends. I love the layout of the garden space, really inviting and a place you want to spend all night. The only thing stopping it from getting 5 stars is the casual nature. Great as it is, it seems everyone is a bit too casual and could do with a slight bit more focus.

The Urban Beach is a comfortable well presented hotel ideally located for Boscombe beach and a short way to Bournemouth. The relaxed environment lends itself to the general vibe of great food, nice beer and extremely friendly and helpful staff. Rooms are good size with comfy beds and we'll decorated and clean. Bathrooms are modern and there has clearly been attention to detail on providing hot drinks with biscuits and water etc. Breakfast is lovely and the food menu varied with great offerings for vegetarians. This is how hotels should be.

Really tasty food, friendly service. Reasonable price. Has a nice and relaxed atmosphere and is a great place to go after spending the day at the beach.

Had a lovely evening of cocktails in the conservatory area attached to the main hotel. Despite the cold, wet weather outside we were lovely and toasty on heated seats underneath patio heaters. It was lovely and clean with a friendly relaxing atmosphere and the cocktails were delicious. Well worth a visit, looking forward to going back next time we're in Bournemouth.

Always excellent friendly professional service. We always feel welcomed and loved. They knew their products well which always gives you confidence in what you are buying. They have a great seating area outside with shelter and heated seats. Which is a fantastic idea and don't know anyone else who does this. So well done urban beach. We fully recommend this place.

My favourite bistro in Dorset. Staff are amazing and the food is beautifully presented and cooked. If a regular join the Hug Club to get good offers.

One of my favourite places in Bournemouth! Always greeted with a smile and the food is amazing! Now, with the new vegan menu, they get an extra golden! I love their cocktails as well — one of the best Bloody Mary you'll ever have! Totally recommend this place!

Lovely Oasis in Boscombe. Excellent atmosphere and great food and drinks available. I have never had a bad experience visiting on many many occasions. Not the cheapest, but worth every penny in my opinion. Haven't stayed in the hotel but I imagine they are just as good. Breakfast is always excellent here. Try the fresh orange juice, it's amazing.

Big fan of this place. Warm cosy environment, were offered a choice of seating and staff were welcoming, friendly and attentive. Food and drinks arrived rapidly and were of the high standards one would expect from the Urban Guild. I haven't stayed in the hotel itself but frequently hear good feedback about staying there overnight. Happily recommend for lunch/dinner.

Been going here for 8 years, best place in Boscombe/Southbourne. Great staff, great vibe, great food, great selection of drinks.

Had a lovely meal here with a friend. Friendly and accommodating service and food was superb! Also on the mark with pricing as not too expensive. Would definitely recommend for an evening meal and would love to try their Breakfast/Lunch menus. Overall Excellent.

Dog friendly, good selection of beers, reasonably priced food and good Sunday roasts. Very nice enclosed seating area/patio.

Great service, expensive menu and the foods was over seasoned, to much salt. As for the creamed corn with the chicken, what was that all about, out of Season and not a good a compliment. I go back to the service, very friendly and good fun. Nice to see restaurant staff smiling.

Celebrated my son's 25th birthday here as it is our favourite place to dine. Lovely food, welcoming staff who are so attentive and friendly and cosy surroundings. My son especially appreciated the extra ice cream dessert with 'Happy Birthday' iced on the plate. It's these little touches that make Urban Beach so special. Thanks everyone for making our evening such a success!

Dry burger, expensive. Reward card that costs £10 but only gets you bogof on random weird cocktails. Wouldn't give us free prosecco even though it was one of our birthdays.

Cannot recommend this place enough You could not get a more warm, honest, friendly welcome than at the Urban Beach totally authentic! Amazing people, gorgeous hotel, fantastic food and great nighttime atmosphere will definitely be back.

The restaurant was disappointing, especially after reading the other reviews. The service from the bar staff, wait staff and kitchen staff were all well below the standard I expect from a restaurant with a 4+ star rating. Three times I had to ask the barman for Campari & orange; he didn't know what Campari is. Even when the second barman handed him the bottle, he still didn't know what it is. Then the waitress delivered the wrong meal and came back a few minutes later and took it away again. The food took ages to arrive and when it did arrive it was cooked properly but much too heavily seasoned. Overall a disappointing experience.

Quirky, cool but not up itself. Went for a morning coffee, which was good. Open area was sunny, but easily covered in the event of rain.

Went for drinks, which were overpriced. It is a nice place to sit and chat. Only have one toilet for the gents.

Breakfast was great tasting, good value and made with locally sourced ingredients. If you know of the urban guild then you will know this hotel restaurant fits in with the smart modern surfer theme well. Expect a happy, fast service and for myself at least I will be returning soon.

Absolutely loved it here. Came for 2 nights and had a greay time. Staff very friendly and helpfull. Breakfast was a delight on both mornings. Rooms also very clean and trendy. Really enjoyed it.

Absolutely brilliant. We only had food and drinks here but the staff were excellent. The long dark haired guy who ran the restaurant found us a table and ensured our baby was happy too. Lovely beers, great food and nice cocktails. Walked out with a big smile on our faces after enjoying a great experience. Would recommend the black pudding scotch egg and the negroni!

Food poor, overcooked and far too salty. Service not good (never a good sign when the waiter/manager is over familiar and thinks it's OK for him to interrupt when your trying to have a private meal and conversation with friends). Will give this place a very wide berth in future.

Stopped by for lunch and ordered the club sandwich. Pricey at £8.50 for a sandwich but it was lovely and a very large portion!

The Urban Beach Hotel not only does the best breakfast in Bournemouth, but also the best breakfast I have tasted anywhere in the UK. The staff are welcoming and it has such a lovely atmosphere. I will be back there again.

Had a meal in the restaurant, the food was good and the live music was excellent but despite very polite staff service was very poor, food and drink orders taking ridiculously long to arrive, even getting forgot about when menus didn't get brought Over, I even watched one couple get seated forgot about an leave due to not getting served, it wasn't even busy on the night we went so god help you if it's a full house when you go.

Stayed down there last night. Been there on many previous occasions and staff still excellent, friendly. Breakfast which is included is really varied and gets you off to a good start. Highly recommended.

Had a great stay at this uber-cool place. Lovely staff were just far too nice: helped me lock my bike to a lobster pot, tolerated me knitting by the Christmas tree and looked after my boots when I left them behind. And despite being young and hip, they didn't make me feel too old and square. Sarah, Oxford.

Best place to stay eat and drink. Best cocktails in town. Staff and the manager are great and service is also great. Food portions are large.

I have only ever had food or drink here, but I can not falter this. Food was served quickly and hot and tasted lovely. Not your run of the mill bar or restaurant with less seating than most would expect. Nice alternative location for food and quiet drinks.

The best place to eat and drink in the south. The food will blow your mind, the decor is to die for, the staff are there to cater for your every need. Live plays throughout the week. I love the ambiance. You can also sit and chill outside. It's amazing. With benches and tables to sit at. And with tall outside heaters to keep nice and cozy as these autumn night's get chiller. Plus they are also a hotel! And the rooms, well brew me away no really. At urban beach you got the lot. Come try them out your love it. The staff will make you feel like part of the family in no time.
