Lovely staff at breakfast Thankyou from the Driscolls.

Large clean king size room. Massive brightly lit bathroom… very knowledgeable n friendly evening male receptionist who recommended a good steak house… Bar staff very professional n friendly n covid compliant whilst serving our drinks n constantly on the go as bar n food area was rather busy.
Looking forward to breakfast tomorrow as reviews say breakfast is vg 🙂🙂

Brilliant ladies weekend, excellent service, room perfect with everything working, lovely relaxing bath, good food, great breakfast. It may be a little dated but I have stayed in 5 star hotels around the world that don’t give anywhere near as good customer service. Great value for money. Even paper towels in the toilets rather than those horrible hot air dryers. 20 minutes walk to the pier and beach.

It's a nice hotel that has all the basics. And is managed well, with helpful staff. I stay here regular and is always my first choice in Bournemouth if it's available.

Very good hotel. With indoor pool and gym and sauna. And do Lovely breakfasts and do a good Sunday lunch. Would definitely stay again.

We stayed at this hotel for two nights from 20th August — 22nd August 2018. We had a lovely stay. Our room (122) which was located on the first floor was clean and comfortable. I was pleased to find that there was an iron and ironing board in the room, a ceiling fan, tea and coffee and a selection of biscuits. The bathroom was lovely with a heated rail and a large mirror. Breakfast was buffet style with a wide selection of hot and cold breakfast items. They made a nice big bowl of porridge for my mum, in addition to the other items. Breakfast items included beans, hash browns, sausages, eggs, mushrooms, tomatoes, toast, cereals, yogurt and fruit. The staff at breakfast were helpful, courteous and efficient, in particular the young man named Bruno. It was nice to end our day at the health club which we used each evening from around 8pm until 9.45pm. The health club is located in the basement and stays open until 10pm. You collect extra towels at Reception before heading down to the health club. We enjoyed swimming in the pool and using the sauna and jacuzzi. It was slightly disappointing however that the steam room was out of order and then on our second night, the jacuzzi was out of order too. This is the only negative really. If we visit this hotel again in future, which we most probably will, we hope that ALL facilities within the health club are working! The jacuzzi was also a little on the cold side that first day. It needs to be warmer.

Room and staff where just ok. Not really what I expected. Had a emergency medical attention that I had to go in for a surgery last year around when I was meant to come to this hotel, the refused to refund my money even when I said they can take a night.

The floors are annoyingly squeaky, the fan is far away from the bed making it uncomfortably hot during night time. The style is also too old, for the money spent they could do better. The bathroom is clean though and staff are polite. But the floors are horrible, walls are thin you can hear everything.

Love this place — bit tired looking but staff are lovely and the hotel has an indoor pool too. HOWEVER, they’ve recently stopped providing a ‘bar menu’ — just a selection from ‘proper’ dinner courses, which is terribly annoying. Used to love their Ploughman’s… hope the management have a rethink on the recent menu changes…

Nice hotel, very good service my partner and I have stayed here twice nice. I had pictures but lost them in my old phone. I would stay again and would recommend it.

It was a good stay and all the public areas were clean and the public toilets were spotlessly clean and the bedroom bathroom was clean and the bed was really comfy and I would definitely stay again.

A star for the location near the station. We preferred the hotel to other hotels because of this, and because of the indoor swimming pool. But the state of the house is mostly catastrophic from the basement to the very top. Floor cargo, swimming pool cold, lean breakfast, room disconnected, window does not close, heating does not heat (Friendly recommendation of reception: Use a second blanket …). We are already screwing our claims far down when travelling to England. But we can't do that anymore! If it wasn't a shame around the time, we would have changed hotels.

Just had the most amazing wedding at The Elstead, the staff were so friendly and welcoming and nothing was too much trouble, they were so attentive and worked hard to make sure our day was perfect. The food was fantastic and the rooms comfy. Highly recommend as a place to stay and a venue for a function.

We had an awesome stay at this hotel. The staff have made this trip a dream. The room was exactly what we needed. The food was great. I will definitely come back and hate to leave thank you all!

Friendly good value accomodation, short walk to beach.

Just been for the weekend nice place staff friendly food good good bar rooms good size couple weeks before we stopped at the Marriott on the sea front and we rate this one much better the only negative point was we couldn’t turn the radiator of we did report this and nothing was done and it being the hottest weekend for months we where nearly sleeping on the window ledge.

I attended a meeting in their venue room, the second time I have been here and as the first time it was a very warm room, so if going dress lightly. A pleasant room, nice bar, I didn't use anything else at the hotel do can't add to that.

The Elstead is good Value for money. We stayed over an April weekend. Breakfast is delicious with great variety, plentiful supply at self service location. Bar staff are friendly and management go the extra mile to provide evening meals at the bar even when the restaurant is officially closed. The night porter is most helpful and interactive, nothing is too much trouble. The bedroom we had was small. The ensuite larger than to be expected but the shower water pressure was poor at second floor level. The place is quiet so we slept well. The hotel is set in tree lined urban setting. Parking is good on site and free. We will come back.

Shame. Staff appeared attentive. But things are not polished off. As soon as there is a conference on they forget about the other guests. Just had poor bar food as the large group take over the hotel. Not impressive. Awaiting the ' Uncle Jims disco ' to shake the brickwork and keep me up all night! Will not be staying here again! Website said my room had a bath only to find it doesn't. Floors completely creak so must be hell for the room below. Loads more wrong but will leave that for others to find out. Best off in a Travel lodge.

Clean rooms, friendly staff and an awesome breakfast. Great for a stay with work.

Location is pretty central to Bournemouth town, 10 minute walk away from everything. Rooms were nice, and had an antique charm. All the expected items were provided. I visited as my mother was staying there for the night, and she also had good reviews. Bed was comfortable and the shower was fine. Only apparent issue was squeky floorboards.

The Elstead Hotel is located close to Bournemouth centre on the Boscombe side. I attended an event there and, although the staff were helpful & pleasant, found the function rooms to be too hot. The hotel has a pleasant bar that served well priced food. It also has a large restaurant. There is a gym & pool, but I didn't visit these. The parking at the hotel can get very busy, at times the car park was full and so people had to park in the surrounding roads.

Friendly staff. Comfortable room. Clean. Located a very pleasantly short walk from the station too. This hotel is ideal for overprotective parents or jealous partners. It would be genuinely impossible for a teenage offspring or an errant lover to surreptitiously sneak off to the room of their paramour, as literally everything in the hotel creaks. The stairs creak. The corridors creak. The rooms creak. Even stepping into the bath to take shower creaks. It's rather endearing, in its way, but I can see how it might put some guests off. The staff really were very friendly, which is a big plus, and the breakfast was surprisingly tasty. Would gladly stay there again.

Really nice place. Decent beds. Great staff. The pool was nice but I found it odd that you had to go through the fitness center to find them, felt like a maze.

Large room comfy bed had to wait at reception as there's only one person faffing around booking people in. But all in all nice place quite near the centre bar, pool everything we needed for our night stay there.

May not be a 5 star but the service is superb, the rooms are large, the beds super comfortable. Night porter was friendly and helpful. For someone who prefers B&Bs we will definitely be going back!

Very pleasant. The hotel is clean and comfortable rather than extravagant, but it does all the basics well. We ate our dinner there on our first night and the quality was excellent (frankly better than expected) and only cost us £17 for 3 courses. Service was very attentive. Breakfasts were very good as well — the standard hotel breakfast range is provided, but the sausages and bacon were of excellent quality, plus they got the fried eggs right, which most hotels don't. We also used the onsite pool, which is big enough to swim useful lengths in. The staff were friendly and attentive throughout.

The "Nordic Leisure Centre" is a bit of a disappointment. Yes, there is a swimming pool, sauna, gym etc. The problem is that it was all opened in the 90's and hasn't been refurbished since! The showers for example look a bit disgusting, some of the gym equipment is falling apart etc. And it's not cheap!

Rooms look a bit dated, but staff are friendly and the food is excellent.

Had a delightful 3 night stay. Ending with a 6 am trip to airport… Night porter laid out breakfast for me and also have me a packed lunch if a sandwich. Banana & bottle of water … Most unexpected and felt a most welcome guest and that my custom was appreciated… Thank you Elstead… I WILL be back soon ;-)

We stayed for three nights with one double and one twin room. The twin was very spacious and well laid out. The double was much smaller, not quite so good. Overall the rooms were very clean and pleasant to sleep in for the three nights. The meal in the restaurant was very nice with a good choice but my personal preference was the bar menu which was excellent. As for the staff — helpful enough. The stand out was the young lady on the bar the night of Wednesday 30th and Thursday 31st Nov 2013 who was extremely helpful and polite. She was great at the Bailey's and coffee.

Stayed here for the air show. Couldn't fault the hotel, very clean, food was excellent and you also get use of swimming pool and gym. Would stay here again and recommend it.

I am a Minibus driver and I normally have 2-3 hen weekends in bournemouth and I always stay at the elstead Hotel. Everything is clean and tidy. Parking is good. Bar is quite well stocked. Staff are very helpful and welcoming Breakfast is superb and staff are well supervised by a profesional and friendly Italian.

But not very succesful vlaue for money means that I guess.
